At a time of despair take comfort that there is....

That makes one of Shintons look good. Its not funny, not even particularly topical. Embarrassing. -
Dunno. How does it feel to be bottom of the table after four months of the season? Its rubbish. We have Hull stoke and Bolton to face next three games, so hopefully we will fight our way out.

Is this the most pedantic thread ever?

We are talking about 91. He played his first game in Sept 92, Stevie said he wasnt there at Xmas (which must have been before), which would have been late 91.

Gazza, Ginola, Les Ferdinand.... When did Gazza play for Newcastle or Tottenham in the Premiership era you mug. Ginola left because of private reasons for an inifinitely smaller club, and Ferdinand saaid it was the worst day of his life when he left. Gazza didnt sign for Lazio until 6 months into the first prem season, as for the other two, if you insist. I'm sure he went earlier than that. Still didn't play for Spurs in the PL era though. September 92 he signed for Lazio. I didn't realise the inaugural PL season began in March of that year. He will ignore that because he's a mug but even that's wrong. He signed in the May or June. He's just ahd a look on wiki on realised his mistake, the kid is a mug. ha ha I just realised what you were saying, he agreed with me that the PL started before. Stevie, you give it the big I am, I reckon you are a jonny come lately. Maybe the Rugby season starts in March. I repeat once again WHY did you say the season was SIX MONTHS OLD, when Gazza signed for Lazio. Explain why you did this please... He had agreed terms before the cup final but the deal fell through when he got injured. The Premier league started when the old first division clubs quit in May 92 In September 92 (OK 4 months later) Gazza moved to Italy. No it didn't, it started on August 15th 1992, only a muig could argue otherwise, you were suggesting he was still registered to play for Tottenham in February. Clueless mug, nothing more. Why does it matter? we are talking a matter of months. The fact is, if you have anybody worth having one of thie big boys would have had them. Any proper Spurs fan (not that there's many of them given your 16,000 gates in the Premiership's opening season) would know Gazza was not at the club by the cjhristmas. Any Gazza fan would know even. Well we managed to fend Man Utd off a few times in the past not to mention Arsenal. No he was getting pished and injuring himself even more on the toon.

I don't need wiki to tell me that because unlike you I just dont make things up to suit my agenda.

Gazza, Ginola, Les Ferdinand.... While I agree you're right about it being lucky we've got no one the top four is particularly interested in, if you're trying to say we sold off the last two against our wishes to a bigger club (at the time) it shows how clueless you really are. Just like Carr, going in the other direction. Payback for Ruel Fox imo. I can do better than that. Kevin Scott ha ha he was terrible, up there with Jazon Dozell as one of our worst. Wasn't he your captain when we bought him? I can't remember if it was him or Kilcline tbh. He wasn't that bad though, although he was for you lot. Surprised Ardilles rated him enough to take him to Spurs though. He was the sort of player that somehow comes through the ranks and survives at a club but gets found out when he leaves. Didn't he get sent off fighting with Les Ferdinand for you lot against QPR btw? Honestly dont remember that mate, are you sure that wasn't when we had loaned him out? He did a stint at Norwich IIRC.

Hes a winger mate, SWP scored a brace for City the other day, would you call him a striker? Either way you can't complain you don't have enough strikers - at the end of the day you sold players that were too good for you, Berbatov and Keane simply went the same way as Carrick. Pav,Campell and Bent will have to do - the money was there and it's Tottenham's own fault if they are lacking. The same way our three tier management system is to blame for the lack of a left back and the small squad. Its a good job that you havent got anybody the top four are interested in.
-
Corluka's looked OK, bar one mistake the keepers been fantastic, GDS / Modric have looked bright in spells. Bentley and Pav have been decidedly average.

The question is then, why did Ramos, Commoli and Levy not see it? I am sure they did. Given the choice I am sure they would have kept the two players or got in decent replacements. Levy haggling over a couple of mil for Arshavin has shot us in the foot and the unfortunate timing of defoes departure. Defoe left in January, Keane left at the start of July and the Berbatov transfer was hardly a shock. Spurs had loads of time to find replacements yet didn't, if anyone is to blame for you having no strikers then it's the three men mentioned above. Defoe had to be sold because he refused to sign a new contract. At that time we had the most successful strike partnership in the country so he couldnt break inot the team. We had an adequate 3rd striker in Bent so there was no issue. Keane was completely out of the blue and I believe Pav was supposed to be Berbas replacement. There was no way we couyld hang onto these players as after they got tapped up they became disruptive and had to be sold. We should have bought Arshavin, Pav and Militio with the money to give us a good mix of forwards. Instead we are left with two big men in Pav and Bent and a young loanee. That's what ewerk just said. Pretty much aye. Danny, I'll put this very simply, who at your club do you blame for not replacing the strikers sold? Levy, the players we wanted had been scouted and identified. Levy decided to quibble over a couple of mil and we wind up with Frazer Campbell.
-
Do you think 70 mil will break the top four strangle hold? 100m? 200m? With City in the mixer 500m? My point is, if you want to stay in the prem fine, if you want CL...you need MEGA BUCKS Saying that you have spent £70m and probably have a squad valuing at £150m spent and you are bottom. So fuck knows. Net spend minus 10mil. I thought you lot didnt believe the rubbish you read in the red tops. the net spend doesn't really matter does it? It's the fact you have £70m worth of new players and you would expect these to perform under a ''tactical genius'' like ramos. Not if you sell your two only decent forwards to finance it. You have half a team of new players and no strikers for them to feed. Surely even you can see the problem there chief. To be honest you can't pull that one on me. Pavlyachenko was £14m, Bent was £16m and Giovanni was £12m. That's a £42m strike force. GDS isnt a striker, Pav has played a season already, Bent has three so far, so hes not doing too bad
-
And I told him we had relacements in Bent and Pav. Its selling Keane that killed us....no continuity. Come on lads, its not hard.
-
The first line is a bit ott. But the other 2 lines describe exactly how I feel. Come on man, there are better managers out there than KK. This mindset is killing you. We can't attract those managers. Did you not notice Joe Kinnear arrive? Keegan lost 3 in his last 13 games. The only home game he lost was to Chelsea. Since he left we've lost 4. 3 of them at home to Hull, Blackburn and Spurs. If that's not a nosedive, I don't know what is. when you are under new ownership with a transfer kitty, surely you could go out and attract a better manager. Money talks.
