In 03 We played west ham in the league cup when they were div 1 in an evening kick off. They turned up at midday and trashed some pubs (basically scaring a few landlords and the odd Ghanian mother on the high street) and claimed some kind of great victory. I'm just happy to have guided the diatribe away from the poor downtrodden single parents and onto the real criminals. If your job is to make profit for the organisation who pays you and you are breaking no laws by doing so...would you not do the same?

Its quite simple Alex. Banks wont lend to each other / other businesses because they don't know how exposed they are to the sub prime toxic debt. This debt should never have been allowed to be traded in the first place. Any small amount of regulation / common sense would have prevented any instrument with house prices as an underlying being traded as AAA rated. The system is now seized up. This affects every business and pretty much every person in society. Lets just hope the system grinds back into life soon.

There is the need for greater regulation in the markets but I disagree that the banks will allow this to happen again. Confidence in the banking sector has never been this low. The Banks are being hurt by this, make no mistake but the government just cant allow them to collapse. There is no choice to be made here.

Those figures should be broken down in to North and South of The Tyne in the NE. Where as the inner city schools in London are dragging those marks right up eh? You don't what the places I've mentioned there are like. They are true to life southern impressions of the North East, all them places mentioned. Is there any place in the world you like apart from Newcastle?

A mate of mine who was there said there was a small amount of booing when his name was read out before the game. Lets face it a lot of the people at that game would have been Arsenal / Spurs. Some may have been waiting for the opportunity to get on his back. He's just not a very likable character.
