  1. It is as long as it is followed by intigration. However if you look at the costas....we cant really talk.
  2. I agree with all of you, just cant believe Stevie was stupid enough to get sucked in TBH.
  3. Of course they have. Transfer info sells papers, where is that going to come from if the paper burns its bridges?
  4. I'm not be funny PP but put yourself in his shoes. Why would he jeopardise is livelihood to back the NUSC? The flow of information from the club to him earns him his wage. It is in his interest to discredit any perceived threat to the club's management. The only way you are going to change anything at NUFC is to stop attacking those in charge.
  5. That's how the game works. If NUSC wants to survive, it will realise that and get tactical. Exactly, it needs to get onside with the club because the local media will always side with the club when push comes to shove.
  6. Text book OWF. Flooding praise on the club before a game. Especially when he doesn't see that club as a threat. We normally get: "I hugely respect Tottenham"..."style of football"..."fans make it a difficult place to come" Its part of his pre match ritual, if he saw you as a threat, he would be saying that the ref might be swayed by the crowd or some such rubbish. Its the same every year. I cant believe some people still fall for him fluttering his eyebrows.
  7. The NUSC is a relatively new concept so it will have teething problems. Having experience of the THST, I believe to be taken seriously by the club, it has to behave in a manner similar to the board of a company. Questions for the club should be arranged in advance and asked in a level headed manner by one or two "top members" of the NUSC. These top members should be voted for by members of the NUSC. At the end of the meeting you can open up the floor but for organisers to act in a threatening / aloof manner towards a club official (who lets face it is doing them a favour by turning up) is pathetic. It may be even worth submitting questions for review by the club before they are asked. That way more of the NUSCs ideas will be taken on board.
  8. Bollox would they. we havent lost a league match to a top four side this year. Including their "full strength side". Added to the fact we didn't have: Woodgate, Defoe, Keane and Palacios. We can give anyone a game on our day as you well know. Man Utd are beatable. Monday, 15 September 2008 Barclays Premier League -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tottenham 1-2 Aston Villa What I meant was the sky "big four". The same teams that will inevitably top four AGAIN.
  9. He set the tone to be fair. Not really Spot on N17. Tom was talking about the penalty itself. N17 was talking about the context the save had on the shootout as a whole. I would say that was fairly clear.
  10. Spot on N17. Nice to see another Spur on here.
  11. After my time in Manchester I hate City more than I do United, especially after their takeover. City fans are deluded idiots even worse than Danny. And what has all their money done for them? Fuck all. In all seriousness Steve, how many blues did you honestly meet who gave it 'the big I am' after they got their cash injection? I genuinely haven't met one. Pretty much to a man, while they're glad (if not still stupefied) to have the funds suddenly available, deep down they all admit that, being City they fully expect the club to piss it up the wall. Noel Gallagher for one. Didnt hear a peep out of him before Thaksin now he is fucking fans spokesman. The monobrowed cunt. He has always talked about city like, It looks like the Lazio badge with that eagle on it. The last badge had a little ship on it going down the Manchester Ship Canal and the rose of Lancashire. When was the last time you saw an eagle in Manchester? Noel Gallagher less than impressed by City's new club badge (1998) It's true. I think he phoned our management office. There's no way he's ever getting them. He scored against City on his debut. Noel Gallagher explains why Ryan Giggs never received complimentary tickets for a hometown Oasis concert (May 1998) I don't want those scally City fans round at my house putting my windows in when City are in the Third Division and blaming it all on me. Noel Gallagher responds to suggestions he should become chairman (May 1999) Get your facts right danny boy. ha ha all very funny. Shame hes taking himself to seriously of late. He should stick to making jokes the drug addled cock.
  12. He set the tone to be fair. Not really, the next went in and the third went completely wide, Tom you dont need to have a pop after every post I make. Do yourself (yoursel) a favour and give it a break.
  13. What a load of rubbish this story is. He saved one penno for god sake. It was poorly struck and too near him. End of story.
  14. Couldnt agree more. There are better managers out there than KK.
  15. Its a good point they were discussing this on 5 live last night. They were saying that Liverpool, Villa, Chelsea and to a certain extent Arsenal now play on the break. They dont enjoy trying to break teams down who turn up for the draw. That is why they have better away records where the oppo are more adventurous. The point was made that Utd can play on the break and can break down teams and turn around a game they are chasing.
  16. Give it a rest. If everybody had your attitude we might as well give them the points. Stopping them playing is a big part of it. Holding our own against every big 4 team cant be a coincidence can it? I dont think so.
  17. Purely confidence in my opinion. We have looked tentative and unwilling to take risks, especially on our travels. Coupled with our drastic lack of anything like a decent target man up front we dont look like scoring nearly enough goals. Averaging about a goal a game this season but luckily we are not conceding many.
  18. Bollox would they. we havent lost a league match to a top four side this year. Including their "full strength side". Added to the fact we didn't have: Woodgate, Defoe, Keane and Palacios. We can give anyone a game on our day as you well know. Man Utd are beatable. 13 Hull 14 Tottenham 15 Newcastle 16 Portsmouth 17 Blackburn 18 Middlesbrough 19 Stoke 20 West Brom Whey aye sonna course you can and before you retort with "we're above you", we acknowledge the fact we're shite and know we stand a rats piss chance in the Sahara of getting anything against them The problem is we can lose to anyone on our day. We have beaten Liverpool twice this year, drawn with united, Chelsea and Arsenal. The problem is we have also lost to Stoke, Boro, West Brom, Hull, Bolton...etc
  19. I was going to raise this, I know a few at that game and he said they say they have never been so scared at a game. Leppings lane was a death trap. but the problem was not the number of people in there it was the speed they entered the ground forcing people into the middle enclosure.
  20. Both the 9/11 and 7/7 attacks showed that isnt the case but give you your credit Stevie it was better than I expected. What you on about ya daft cunt? Both attacks had a disproportionately high Muslim casualty count due to the locations of the attacks. Having asians in your ground wont protect you from an attack. I personally think their are too many soft targets for terrorists to target highly policed events. Maybe pubs before a game.
  21. Both the 9/11 and 7/7 attacks showed that isnt the case but give you your credit Stevie it was better than I expected.
  22. what do you suggest we do to make anybody "more welcome". Bear in mind extra policing comes out of your pocket. Its up to them if they want to go. Personally, I think we have laid enough mats for foreigners in this country, the country is fucking itself up from within and the last thing we need to do is to pander to more of this lot.
  23. Where did our Balti pies go Stevies hidden them.
  24. Bollox would they. we havent lost a league match to a top four side this year. Including their "full strength side". Added to the fact we didn't have: Woodgate, Defoe, Keane and Palacios. We can give anyone a game on our day as you well know. Man Utd are beatable.
