The difference being it was settled in the courts though. That's why I find it unnecessarily harsh. If it's true, that is. The daft thing is, I'm not convinced he'd have been found guilty anyway. Eh? He battered a guy infront of about 30 people, how would he have not been found guilty? Law ain't your strong point is it? Come to think about it you don't really appear to have any strong points. No it isnt. I am more numerically minded, please explain.

I know it doesnt take much but I am confused. How could it be self defence if he kept bashing the guy whilst he was on the ground? He had to be guilty didnt he?

They reckon its on a par if not worse than the cantona / Rio offences. He is looking at some serious splinters.

Is Darren Bent going to be starting for you next season? Hes scored 7 goals in your last 2 friendlies Dont know, Berbatov will be gone by Sunday, so I am told but we are in for the two Russians so we will have three big name attacking players. The word is that Ramos doesnt rate Bent but is preparing for life after Berbatov the best he can. To be honest he has looked brilliant leading the line with Dos Santos in the hole behind feeding him. Saying that, he was brilliant last pre season then Jol dropped him for the first game. I was always very critical of Jol for that. I hope Ramos starts the season with this formation, giving the Russians (if we sign them, time to settle, make cameos and then force there way into the team. The unfortunate thing is, that if we spend all that money people will demand immediate appearances and immediate success.

I like how Spurs fans generally think that constant twattish showers of condescension is 'banter'. All the bloody same. Stop trying to arse lick the locals. Its just banter, its part of the game, get a grip.

Bentley already has a new club mate I think he's going to be a bit out of NUFCs price bracket this window any how. Wrong. So we bid £16m for Modric and £7m for Woodgate, Jonas cost us £1.5m, Bassong £1.5m and Jonas compensation is in the region of £10m... Oh and we are supposed to of bid £7m for Aimar and we are looking at £8m for Collocini. (That's about £40m + floating about already then) Plus Bentley was just a tad overpriced anyway... Yep you keep (just) missing out. I was just having some banter with you fellas.

Old enough to know that no matter what you spend or who you buy ... you'll still do fuck all! ... that could make me any age! Like my avatar? To be honest if a 13 yo Swiss boy came up to me on the street and tried to talk football to me, I would politely listen (ignore) him, make my excuses and leave abruptly. Welcome back to the ignore list. Agreed. I'd do the same to you down the boozer. That would be your loss. Although I get the feeling that me and you would inhabit different types of establishment. I'd say you hang around train stations and playgrounds by the sounds of things. Yeee haaaaa U-S-A, U-S-A, GET IN THE HOLE!!! Like my avatar then? Fooseball? was Fooseball bwoy? We call it soorrcceer. Beckenham is our top player he has been drafted to the LA white skins, who play in Louisiana. He can do a ninety degree shifter into the right angle from the 40 yard line. YEAH!!!

Seems a bit spiteful, I would say doing time in clink would be payback enough let alone a stint on the bench.

I agree. People are desperate for overnight solutions though. Despite them not having worked in the past. Whoa there Neddy, Ashley's done an okay job of sorting said finances out, but what's the point if you're unable to compete at the end of the table where you actually make money? We could at least have bulked up the squad a bit even if it wasn't with top star players. I never expected us to get enough top players in to challenge the top four but there's plenty of good squad players out there we could have brought in by now. I've said before that you don't make money without spending it and that part of football is no different to any other business. And for the record I'm pretty sure transfers can't be that bloody difficult to sort, unless you're a penny pinching, tight-arsed fat southern miser. Short sighted Im afraid. You are going to have to consolidate before moving forward. Fuck off, there's no short-sightedness there at all. Without an adequate squad you can't compete to a reasonable standard to improve your situation in the future. We've lost players from an already thin squad and struggled to replace them, at best we'll be in the same position we were last season, except all the teams around us will have strengthened further moving us further down the league. If there isn't a quantum change in our transfer business I calculate we are 2 seasons behind Spurs, Villa, Man City and Pompey. We already were. Due to the mess the current lot inherited. Bang on.

I agree. People are desperate for overnight solutions though. Despite them not having worked in the past. The biggest expense for any club is wages, until Ashley gets those on silly money either out or down to a sensible rate you wont be adding to the wage bill significantly. Once you are running at a self sustained level and become profitable you can then invest again. Is it not enough that he has paid off your debt?
-
Why would you be peaved with Ashley trying to sort out the mess you're in financially? Surely you should be pleased he is securing the future of your club?
-
HA HA Thats not great is it. I reckon he will be joined by Saha by the close of the window.

How long is whats his chops out for?

They're an excitable bunch aren't they? Every club has a cynical mob, where's theirs?

Beat: Arsenal, Chelsea Drew: Arsenal, Chelsea, Man Utd, Liverpool Point?

No problem: Chimbonda: Great going forward, not so fantastic going back, needs to be a first team starter due to poor attitude, odd lapse of concentration but loves to overlap and stick the crosses in. Good in the air. Good RBs are at a premium so I think hes a good buy. TT: Blood and guts midfielder, literally. Will give his all on the pitch and is vastly underated talent wise. However he cant string a run of games together as he is made of glass. His versatility works against him as he is often played out of position, has played right across our midfield and at both full backs. Malbranque: had a slow start for us but was contender for POS last season, not the most talented player but gives his all and is like a terrier on the field, wont give up a lost cause. Best position in the hole but another one played out of position for us on the left. All good editions to a midtable prem side.

Well, I don't need to pay for it. Down my way, thats not called a boozer. However I have been on a few night out on the Toon and I can see how we could have got our wires crossed. It was a play on the word establishment. Do keep up old boy. Really? I find explaining a joke afterwards adds to the off beat hilarity of the situation. Thanks.
