More than the 10,016 the saw Tottenham in a top flight League game in 1986, that's for certain. Apparently Celtic the other best fans in the world got 20,000 tonight against Citeh with free admission pmsl Free admisson? shirley not? Interesting fact I heard today stevie, Two english teams have never had an average attendance of less than 20K. Name them for me. Interesting fact I heard was since the war two English football clubs have held world record average gates, we're one of them. Another interesting fact I've heard was out of Newcastle and Tottenham who have averaged under 21,000 in the top flight over a season. You obviously know the answer? I do but we have both spent some time outside the top flight, surely only fickle fans would turn their back on their club due to relegation. Fickle fans come to the fore, when clubs are lowly TENTH, in the top flight. All the clubs had decent gates during the football booms of the sixties and seventies. 20,000 average gate and coming 10th in the best league in the world with no excuses. That and along with 15000 gates IN THE PREMIERSHIP era, have cemented my belief Tottenham will always be mickey mouse. The two teams that have never averaged under 20K in a season? Us and Manchester United. Just checked our ticket info for our next preseason.....only singles left. Should be good. Goodnight Stevie.

Mate its just banter, I am not trying to be subtle in the slightest. Football fans have banter, thats half the fun, if its too much for you, go to a newcastle only site or get an admin to make this place NUFC only. I know you think NUFC is the best club in the world, I feel the same about Spurs. You dont like to hear otherwise, nor do I. Everybody thinks their club is a one off and special. Sometimes we need to be reminded that just maybe the player we love are maybe not rated by other teams fans. Thats all part of it. -

He is never in the position to be. Well he is, actually. Never mind. Just because you have picked a team at random because you think some of that teams glory may rub off on you puts you in no real position to be patronising about anything imo. You only have to think you're superior to be patronsising. As you also demonstrate. I am superior to him but then you will be hard pressed to find someone who isn't. Are you deliberately missing my point each time now? Obviously I am, why don't you spell it out for me Alex. You are patronising because of your condescending comments and you seem to think you're superior to the people on here, not just Torres. I honestly don't think I am better than anyone (except Torres of course) -

Nice to get another perspective. Not many other MBs would be as welcoming as you lot are Says a lot about you and Torres that you're regarded as you are then, don't you think? Exactly I am held in high asteem as a knowledgable poster and Torres...is Torres. It's funny how you two don't get along. You're so alike. An American teenager who blatantly knows very little about football or evidently anything else, who has probably been to anfield less times than you or me. On the other hand you have a thirty year aficionado of the English game who brings insight and deep thought to all facets of the sport. A free thinker if you will. I cant see the comparison. You've just c and p'd that from my wiki page. Just edited out the r@cist knuckle dragger bit -

I wanted to pick Spurs but they were a bit shit in all truth. You dont pick a team, you are born into one. -

Rarely have a mickey mouse club had a higher opinion of themselves. Their best ever season they came THIRD. They'll never be half as big as Sunderland, and I bet Parker, Nobby, Dyer, Bowyer and Bellamy are fully aware of that now. City wouldn't be a good investment in my view, but if you look at all these clubs who have been taken over, I think ridiculous as it may seem now, but we'd probably be the best investment at the price he got us for. A club is only as good as its fanbase, and ours is probably the third largest in the country, there's no where where the scope for growth is larger than it is here. And you thought you were poorly run. Ljundberg - 70K / week Bowyer - Now playing in the reserves. Neil - 70K / week Dyer / Bellers - perpetual crocks. If you are looking for an outside bet for relegation, they are the team.

Im not saying this is the case with Ashley but some of these new owners seem to have come steaming into the prem with there eyes shut. Look at Liverpool ownership issues, Wet Spam having to lay off players...they had Ben Thatcher trialing for them last night , now City. Guess what fellas you arent going to make mega bucks running a football team.

No stotties at M&S, mate. I was still impressed at seeing a Greggs in London I must say. We've had Greggs for ages down here. Theres a new morrisons round my way now. Pie shop in house? Fucking hell no wonder you're all big lads. Good meat though. You should go to the Morrison's in Byker, no wonder Smooth Operator's lass doesn't go outside the house anymore. Shut in? Harsh.

It would have been more convincing if you had posted the first line and edited the post for the second. Just a thought.

What is really funny is that your ignorance and lack of subtlety makes you push it too far. You've gone past Ricky Gervais and now you are currently sitting somewhere between Jim Davidson and Bernard Manning. And theres nothing more boring than someone whos only line of banter is to shock with nothing else to back it up. I bet you fancy yourself as the brightest person you know eh? here, you dropped this. Knew you didnt have anything to back it up. One dimensional. Goodnight. Oh and tomorrow, try M&S instead of Iceland for dinner. Push the boat out.
