Signing of the season: Hall Top goalscorer: Isak Most assists: Gordon Biggest surprise: Kelly Best Young player: Livramento Player of the season: Isak PL finish: Winners Trophies? PL

Georgia’s keeper looks decent
-
Nope. Kane is too slow Bellingham/Foden can play 10 and the false 9
-
Pickford TAA - Guehi - Stones - Walker Saka - Rice - Wharton - Gordon Foden - Bellingham Plenty of legs and runners in that line up. Obviously thats going to be far away from what Southgate picks.

He will probably go with palmer and Mainoo as they got the most positive comments from his media mates last night, despite the fact that nothing really changed in the 2nd half when they came on. The real issue is his incessant, inherent cautiousness which isn’t going away in the next 5 days.

Got my training shorts yesterday. Adidas badge and NUFC badge will be off in no time I reckon. Definitely not the quality of the other Adidas shorts I have in my possession
-
The training shorts do however have the 3 white stripes Ordered.

Looks like they spent 2 mins on the design of the shorts and then fucking forgot to add three white stripes...

Trips really shouldn't be anywhere near that squad. He's got more in common with Henderson and Rashford. -

Southgate is probably available -
They'd be better off getting her in the squad
-
Didnt she borrow the money off Ashley? Then she had to pay it back in a hurry when she criticised him in public not long after...

I'm loving this new version of the Premier League where the games are played and every decision is reviewed by teenage geeks watching detailed frame by frame replays and then league positions are awarded depending on the strength of your team of accounting consultants... Its absolutely thrilling -
None of us know what conversations are going on behind the scenes about what the target is for the rest of the season. We may be happy with 8th-10th and no Euro football next season to give us a chance to have a realistic shot at qualifying for the Champs League again. Or we may be pushing for 7th to get us into the conference and give us further experience of playing European football and getting the club used to that idea. With that in mind I think Howe is experimenting a little bit with tactics and personnel. I think the obvious tactic last night was to sit deep and hit them on the break, but long term thats probably not a tactic that we want to be using regularly. So we used a high press and told Gordon to stay further up the pitch. It didnt work particularly well, but the more we get used to that style, the better in the long term. Hopefully we're going to give him 2-3 years to get it right before we think about making a change, but these days you never know.

Disallowed as he's not a real Eddie...

Not sure why we always seem to think the only chance we have of winning a trophy is to get the most favourable draw possible? So the narrative is we need to get Coventry at home in this round, Wolves in the semi and then Leicester in the final? Man City away isnt ideal but bring it on. Lets get stuck into them.

All that mattered last night was that we won. But we are a challenging watch at the moment... Longstaff displaying the physicality of Thauvin doesnt help -
The red scousers unbelievably managed to defeat a side 10 places and 25 points behind them in the league. Wow, how unexpected, said absolutely nobody except the fawning media and deluded fans.

I think our best move would be to just leave him on gardening leave until 2026. Fuck Ratcliffe, Fuck Ashworth and Fuck their fucking awful fans
-
Does any money we get for Ashworth help with FFP? If, so squeeze as much out of them as possible. If not, he can do the full 20 months horticultural experience.
