  1. mumford are ridiculously good live, worth it over eminem
  2. Van Nistle was a much better player at Real too but then again it's hard to sell a good player when they've always been shit (see Kleberson / Djemba-Djemba)
  3. They are determined which is apart from the ability to pass and hold position seems key in this WC as Ghana, Jpn and Chile have proved. Miss those opening Chile games as they really seem to enjoy their football. alexis sanchez looks fantastic. foot man got that one right.
  4. You grew up in Wylam? yep from 2 to 7 i lived there
  5. to the tune of: Andy Carroll! we're depending on you! Andy Carroll! we'll hoof the ball up to you! I got a ticket and fresh hope! so we're depending on you! from my heart and soul we're depending on you! so much tear is on my pillow like a flowing river (toon toon) (toon toon) my King Kev forsaked me and Mike Ashley is greedy no we're like a (toon toon) Premiership club (toon toon) with no aspirations! so Andy Carroll! we'll hoof the ball up to you! Andy Carroll! we'll hoof the ball up to you!
  6. they will when every match they play this season they're greeted with abuse
  7. if any of this is true then these guys are in for a fucking slaughtering
  8. I wish I hadn't been watching ITV - that was, without doubt, the worst production of a football match I have ever seen - atrocious just doesn't even scratch the surface. There seems to be this obsession that all displays of emotion that any of the protagonists display have to be viewed over and over again in those fucking ridiculous HD slo-mos- i swear I nearly kicked the fuckin telly in - the game was being played and all we were seeing was Gerrards celebration, Tim howards shouting some tourette induced verbal volley at his defence or Capello doing an impression of Mrs Brady old lady on the sideline - just totally infuriating - i wouldn't care they played a blinder getting Adrian Chiles and even squeezed a Clash song into the build up but ,dear me the rest........ amen. we must of missed 4 minutes of the game due to unnecessary replays
  9. 30m for Milner is unbelievable that's at least double what he's worth
  10. Lucio / Samuel is the best center back parternship I've seen in ages
  11. not much to spend? :security:
  12. he still scored two goals though right? Messi and Xavi missed good chances as well and didn't make up for it by scoring
  13. There's only the white horse really, one of the best pubs in London though, I'd rather go there than FB, and its only one stop further on. White Horse? Sloaniest pub in landan! I didn't take you for a public school boy.
  14. :D Tell me one big game he's been amazing in. Just one, and don't give me any Serie A shite when he was rthere, no such thing as a big game there. Tell me a big game he's set the ground alight. erm, Arsenal vs. Barcelona? Italy vs. Sweden? Barcelona vs. Real Madrid? when was the last time you watched an entire Serie A game?
  15. Avoid going Knightsbridge for drinks / clubbing like the fucking plague. Notting Hill isn't too bad, got some great pubs - Windsor Castle and The Churchill are both excellent - and is only a few stops from Fulham Broadway on the tube so you can get to the match easy.
  16. no I've not! I've got to read it for my Masters next year though. Yeah, penal servitude in Siberia was brutal, utterly brutal, I'm quite amazed that anyone complains about anything nowadays knowing what people went through purely because they held revisionist beliefs. you should read Natasha's Dance by Orlando Figes - fantastic book on the evolution of Russian culture from the foundation of St. Petersburg to the Stalin era.
  17. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/a...ure/8636011.stm picked up a copy of this the other day after my friends dad recommended it to me as i really know nowt about the financial crisis, it's a hefty book though, it's not even 500 pages but it looks like 1000.
