  1. It's a bit misleading calling it down as debt without explaining further though. Surely a lot of those numbers can easily be cancelled out if the respective owners choose to do so. It's all about making money and sometimes juggling values around is more beneficial.
  2. Well if it makes you lot feel less like a circus, Chimbonda are going back to spurzz
  3. He might just sound like the biggest whining cunt ever
  4. What kinda money would you be looking at for him? £ 8 -9 Mill? More?
  5. I can imagine MON could use him. We need cover for left back as Bouma isnt fit yet, and Shorey isnt good enough it seems. He would cover for either Milner or Ash needing a rest as well. I really dont know whether we are interested, but a good indication would be if you see MON denying the interest. He is often out and dismissing agent talk regarding players from relatively big clubs.
  6. He has been linked with Real for ages. Thats why you see links to Pennant now, as Real Madrid have admitted through Marca they cant afford Ashley.
  7. Still not seen the obvious mate? He's a troll. Hell, he is a troll with warning lights and a sirene. You could argue our trophy cabinet, ups and downs, attendance in the third div., close proximity compition and you he would still right a 5 pages essay on ways to piss you off. But yes, quite dim.
  8. No need at all man. Can I just ask why Stevie gets away with his racist ramblings week after week? Whether it be darkies, members of the taliban, french cunts etc. it wouldnt be tolerated off anyone else Probably a troubled young man without work weighing up his lack in size creating war with the keyboards.
  9. I'd take Ashley Young over him any day tbf. But we would never sign a player with such a disruptive arrogance, or MON would never sign a player like that. Quite rightly too.
  10. That's his downfall - he doesn't have the instinct or the intelligence however you want to put it to know when to pass, when to cross and when to take on a man - he needs to realise this and concentrate on improving before he thinks he deserves a better club. I think he has the talent but he needs a good coach/manager to move forward - I hope its with us but as I said I see him as too much of a saleable asset for the current regime. Could see him joining us tbf. Seems like the right age, price range and position for MON to be interested.
  11. Superb player. No doubt he has attitude problems, but his quality cant be questioned. I find it a bit funny you think he would even consider joining you though. Its a bit like Villa fans thinking Huntelaar would join us. I never get why people cant stay a tad realistic.
  12. I might be missing the point, but to be sure... Barry never delivered a transfer request. Oops, I must be getting mixed up with that interview he did in the Sunday papers. You must be, because if he had delivered one he would more then likely be playing at Anfield atm. Just incredibly sad how greedy footballers are.
  13. I might be missing the point, but to be sure... Barry never delivered a transfer request.
  14. I think thats quite normal tbh. Looks to me a lot of big clubs run 4-4-2 with a more right midfielder then right winger. Bit like Beckham for United I guess. Now I'm not comparing Milner with Beckham, but the tactical side of bringing a more work horse then flair player is similar
  15. Ye. Its quite mad how English or even British players are valued compared to foreign ones, though I guess its reflected on the EPL. So many foreign players simply not handling it. I think its fair to say we have paid a lot for getting a future squad up and running though. NRC, Davies, Young, Milner are all quite young and you dont get that cheap these days.
  16. No probs, I actually agree on parts of it. Milner can be very frustrating to watch, especially when he tries to beat his man, but I think his crossing is quite good. Unfortunatly you expect more from a £ 12 Mill winger, but hopefully Robertson can do some magic with him. I honestly believe our staff is second to none on that area.
  17. Well I rate both, and I think they do their jobs quite well. Petrov is the better player though. I'd go as far as say top class. But he has taken his time to settle. NRC is the kinda energetic player you want on your books, and he has gained us a lot of points tbf. I just feel he hasnt anchored himself in any position yet, but the amount of possession he gains and the mentality he brings is top notch. He is a proper team player, and a warrior if we got one. Hopefully he can learn a bit from Stan though. Shorey has to improve his performances IMO, but we'll see. Bouma is coming back soon I guess. I think the idea of Milner is his work rate and defensive qualites for a winger. MON has hailed both Milner and Young as they can track back a lot, and I think he preferes his midfield a bit balanced. Which is why we have played Young, Barry, Petrov, NRC a lot. Coker does right midfield suprisingly well, and I so believe thats how MON wants Milner. I really dont think it goes against Gabby's speed, in fact I'd say it complements it. But we see things differently and I'm hardly objective.
  18. Not sure I get your point. If you are claiming Barry was overpriced, its hardly something you can blame MON for. He was our captain and obviously we wouldnt sell him on the cheap to the club who we have to rival for the fourth. You would have to be pretty thick to sell your players for less then the market value. Secondly, Barry was England captain at the time the price handled. Carrick and Hargreaves went for £ 18'ish Mill, why would Barry be worth less? I think we not only handled the Barry saga excellent in terms of not giving in to the top 4, but we also valued him correctly. The whole story still pisses me off. How Benitez can just unsettle a clubs captain, do it right before a crucial match, and get fuck all from the FA. I bet MON was mighty fucked off, and I think the fact that Benitez came with shit offers like the "mish mash of players" only nailed MON's £ 18 Mill value. Liverpool, fuckin cheap classless shithole of a comedy club
  19. Hence the Barry saga?? Not sure I follow your logic either. If a player performs to his price tag, then how could MON be wrong? The only player who has lived up to his yet is Milner, and he has hardly played! Luke Young for instance has according to my mate been far better then Boswinga so far. Who did the best buy? Its hard to be objective obviously, but as long as a manager gets results its hard to argue against it. Its a bit Cloughie over it tbh. You want a squad, a team performing and they need to work as one. That includes dressingroom issues etc.
  20. ^^ Enjoy it. Maybe I can return on this site 24th May
  21. Cuellar, Young and Milner? How are they shocking, they have hardly played football yet? :/ And FWIW Cuellar and Young has been bloody brilliant so far this season. Young is actually proving me wrong, as I didnt think he was worth the money. Cant see many RB's being better then him and available for less then £ 6 Mill to us tbh. Personal favo. Cuellar is easily worth more then what we paid. Just top class CB. The fact that we got Davies, Cuellar and Laursen is awesome. Milner is understandable though. He hasnt been given much of a time yet, but I can see why people think MON pushed it there. Still Ashley Young was fairly average coming to us, and he has developed into pure brilliance with MON and Robertsons help. Still I've learned not to question MON signings. I was sceptical to his dealings as Petrov really struggled settling in, never looked close to the money we paid. But this season he has argueably been the MotM in 70-80% of the matches we have played. Top class player. I also think MON knows the market isnt going to cooldown any time soon. MON also had to build an entire side with us, which a lot of people to realise. When Randy arrived we had a threadbare squad and players like Knight, Harewood, Salifou etc. they were bought for a reason. You need a squad. And you need those players who will accept the bench and be ready when called for. The very same players who grinded us a win away in Europe today! It just takes time to build a club again, but I think he is doing an awesome job. Never ever ever thought we would have progressed as fast as we have done when MON got here. Not in my wildest dreams. I think the main idea for most clubs is to look at what a manager does with a club in terms of success. I couldnt give a toss if MON bought Beye for £ 20 Mill if he continued our progress. And he really has earned respect on those terms. He can sign Bramble and I would support him. Anyway my 2 cents. Rip it apart.
