  1. Your manager is an idiot, and you've extended his contract. He's taking off your most likely player to score and put on someone who hasn't played in months. Great. With substitutions like that, i hope you lose. Martins deserves better. Take owen off or take off a midfielder and go 4-3-3 like you used to last season which worked so well.
  2. Don't think Barton is why you lost, but you still need to get rid of him. Wherever you guys travel to, he will always be booed. Not because he is a Newcastle player, but because he is Joey Barton. Do you not think defeaning boos affect the rest of the team? Fact is, he is a negative influence and you all can do better. Especially when you're playing Butt and Barton together in the center I mean, who is getting paid to create chances? Replacing Barton with a creative CM and Geremi with a RM who knows how to cross the ball would do wonders for you in January, but I'm sure you know that. What's the hold up in selling the club? I thought Ashley wanted out?
  3. He played and got the ball. If you're saying that's a penalty (and worse, of course, a sending off), then basically you're saying you cannot tackle in the penalty area. I can see how it was given in the heat of the moment, but looking at it from replays it shouldn't have been given. There should be a video ref, not for every little incident, but this is a perfect example of where it is absolutely needed. Yes but there isn't. Fact, the ref is seeing this from the back. Fact, from the back, it looks 100% like a penalty. Fact, if it's a foul it's a red card. Tackle in the box all you want, but if you get mainly man and little bit of ball, don't cry when it's given against you by a ref that's seeing it from the back. Obviously if there was a video ref and he saw on a replay that he had touched a little bit of the ball as well, they maybe it wouldn't have been given. But we don't have that, and so it's a fair decision. Maybe a little unlucky, but it's fair. Like I said, if it was the other way round, most people would want that given for them.
  4. Except for the only one who was a referee, and he agreed that it was a penalty. Especially from where the ref was seeing it from. As he said, it can still be a foul even if there is a touch on the ball. And if it's a foul, then it's a red card. I think it was a fair enough decision from Styles. Maybe a little unlucky, but in no way is it an absolute clear cut call. Can't be too upset that it's gone against you, it was a very very risky move from Beye. Referee was seeing the back of the players, and from that angle, it's a penalty 95% of the time. Maybe if he saw it from the side he might not have given it, but even then, I'm pretty sure he would have given it and sent Beye off. You can talk angles all you want. Beye got the ball, before he hit the man. Nevermind the angles. Thats why you have linesmen. It was NEVER a penalty. Risky or not. He pulled it of, but still they penalised him for it. It either a penalty or not a penalty. Not maybe, or might, or could have been, or nearly. It's yes or no. It was a good decent last ditch tackle, and a shit call from Rob Styles. The whole Robinho attitude, tells everything. Lying with one eye closed in pain, and another eye on the ref to see if he gave a dodgy penalty http://eplvideos.com/index.php?ind=videos&...w&iden=1143 If that was given against you, you would be in here crying like a little girl. So don't use double standards. It may be a LITTLE unlucky, but you cannot say "It was NEVER a penalty."
  5. I think there is a winner in this for someone..
  6. City looking very impotent.... EDIT: wow never mind.
  7. By the way Coloccini is a great great defender. He's looked very impressive. Given that he's playing in a new league and amidst all this crisis, and yet still looks so solid is a testament to his class. Once he fully adjusts to England, and if you guys sort out the rest of your team, he could be a real rock at the back.
  8. Is Dunne crazy, what was that??
  9. Here's a clip of the penalty incident. Come on, that's a pretty fair decision. It's certainly not outrageous, you can't be up in arms because that was given as a penalty. In fact, if it was the other way around, we would all be up in arms if we did not get a penalty in this sort of a situation. http://eplvideos.com/index.php?ind=videos&...w&iden=1143
  10. 1 Who are you 2 Why are you here 3 why dont you fuck off Maybe i will if this is how welcoming newcastle fans are....asshole.

  12. Two questions. 1.) Do you really not have anyone besides Geremi who can cross the ball? Because he's pretty bad at it. 2.) What happened to Guttierez? I think he's injured, when's he coming back? Good luck in the second half. Man City are doing clowning, you might still be able to win this.
  13. Terrible defending, absolutely atrocious, terrible shot as well, but a bit of good fortune for Newcastle.
  14. Pretty bad miss from Duff. Have to score those, or at least lay it off for Martins. It was on his favored left foot too. Bad bad bad.
  15. I am confused what formation you guys are playing now with a man down...
  16. Beye got a tickle on the ball after taking out the man. I'd say that 9/10 refs would have given that as a penalty. The only question I had was was it in the box, but yeah, I think the penalty and red card was a fair decision. Should have stayed on his feet.
  17. Pretty bad tackle from Beye. Guthrie with a ridiculous challenge as well. Newcastle imploding here... Where is N'Zogbia, is he injured? If not, why isn't he playing?
  18. The press and the media really have it in for us and they have for years and to be quite frank we are sick to death of hearing fabricated stories that are only conceived to damage the club - so in this instance I am quite happy for Kinnear to have a go at them and the rest of the league seem to agree. Where did we say we wanted Mike Ashley to come and drink in the stands? If he does we aren't going to tell him to get shot are we? Can you tell us where we asked for Joe Kinnear? He is an interim manager and not permanent therefore he is of no great consequence to club history. A lot of people had forgotten about him and it was a shock when he got the job. Who says Joe is a hero? He has just won some respect by wanting to get on with the job and get the media crap out of the way - that's his last pre match interview. You know fuck all about this football club so take it elsewhere - we can read the papers too and we don't believe them. Also don't come here and tell us ''what we want'' when you have no clue. Ah yes, Newcastle United. The constant target of the media. Everyone's out to get you aren't they? Tell you what, is there a news source you guys do like? That you believe is fair and gives your side of the story. I'd like to be able to get my news on Newcastle from where you guys get it, so please let me know what is a good source. Secondly, are you going to deny that Ashely was looked upon as a legend because he wore a toon top and sat in the stands? I'll pull up conversations from this very forum that prove it. Only in Newcastle. You didn't ask for Kinnear, but you are delighted that he's conducted himself like an angry fool for all the world to see. I know plenty about this club and the mentality of its supporters. I know what you want, you want what any football club wants, success and stability. I just find the way you go about trying to get this is laughable and amusing, and apparently I'm not the only one. Tom I'm waiting for you to let me know where I should go to get reliable news about NUFC...thanks. I could go through all of the ridiculous stories quoting incorrect fabricated hysteria, born out of no source whatsoever to harm the club, however there are far too many and I really don't think you are worth too much of my time. Our side of the story rarely gets a look in because people simply don't want to hear it. They don't want to hear about us wanting to watch decent football and finish mid table. They don't want to hear about wanting a respectable owner and some stability. They want to hear about fans fury, they want to hear about fans who think Newcastle have a divine right to success, how Keegan is the ''messiah'' and how only a geordie will do. It's all born out of finding a story - if you want to believe all that fantasy then do - I couldn't care less. NUFC.COM or the NUSC will be a reliable source for our side of the story - not that you want to hear it. What do you mean the way ''we'' go about it? It's not the fans fault, without the fans this club would be nothing. I was asking if there was a local newspaper that you believed told it like it is. Supporters forums are supporters forums, and I read this one from time to time, but I'm asking is there any media that you trust? I find it hard to believe that there is not one single newspaper, news station, or any other media outlet that you believe tells it like it is.

  20. Man SOME OF you ppl are hilarious. Only some Newcastle fans would be proud of a manager that behaved this way, that too before he's even been in charge 1 game. Shows what kind of people you are, what kind of standards you hold yourselves and your team too. Where other teams want an owner in a suit who is smart and loyal, you want an owner who will sit in the stands and drink beer with the fans. Whereas other teams want a dignified manager that makes the team look good, you are proud of a manager who says f**k 70 times in one of his first interviews to the press. Can't believe it really. I would have thought that the way he could endear himself to you would be to win a few games, but clearly, all it took was saying f**k a few times and he's the new hero. Brilliant. You lot are going places...
  21. Yes we'll just build from the back - everything sorted. It would solve a lot of problems actually. Invest in a good midfield and you'll see the results. But if you'd rather have amazing strikers with Cacapa and Butt playing behind them, well, what can I say. You could at least move N'Zogbia in CM. Try something new with the resources you have.
  22. I hope you get your problems sorted out soon. Nice talking to a few of you who welcome a neutral's opinion. Good night, and good luck in future games.
  23. Yeah, but at least they are creating chances every game aren't they? If I am a striker looking for a new club, would I be more interested in joining a club with a good midfield creating chances or a team like newcastle in which I will get 1 or 2 chances a game, and am expected to score those? Although the fact is an incredible midfield being fronted by Smith and Ameobi is going to be no better than an uncreative midfield fronted by Owen and Martins. I am fully aware that Smith and Ameobi are total crap. Surely you could recruit 2 strikers to start for you that aren't as world class as Owen and Martins? Some strikers from a UEFA cup team in Italy or Spain? An incredible midfield + 2 decent strikers would be a good way forward for you.
  24. Yeah, but at least they are creating chances every game aren't they? If I am a striker looking for a new club, would I be more interested in joining a club with a good midfield creating chances or a team like newcastle in which I will get 1 or 2 chances a game, and am expected to score those? Totally different argument now. Fuck off man. Its the exact same argument. Spurs have a better midfield than you, and thus will create more chances, and thus will score more goals. Feel free to disagree with my logic, but I think it makes perfect sense. More chances = more goals, not sure what's debateable about that.
  25. Do you play a lot of Football Manager then? No I don't actually. But its common knowledge that you build from the back, whereas you are trying to build from the front. If you are creating 10, 15 chances a game, your strikers will finish a few of them. But you guys are creating 1 or 2 a game, and thats not good enough. Am I wrong in my assessment? Yes. We don't have a manager long enough to build from anywhere. Please if you're just going to bleet out like that piss off. Why did we lose Keegan? Partly because he wanted 2 more defenders and Mr Wise he said no. I'm just calling it as I see it. I can't think of any other team that has "better" strikers than midfielders. Usually its the other way around and there's a good reason for that. It wouldn't be the end of the world if you sold Owen and Martins to buy some quaility midfielders. Obviously if you can buy quality midfielders without selling them that would be better, but you need people who can create. Not 1 player who can create, but 4. Overhaul your midfield and the goals will come, and with it wins. Then you can sing ei i ei i o The problem is you clearly have NO IDEA of what has, is and will be going on at the club. You're not producing gems of wisdom, you're producing nuggets of nonsense as you have no idea of the context. Do you know who our other strikers are if we lose Owen and Martins for instance? (Owen is gone in January anyway now most likely). Like I said the reason we lost Keegan was that HE was trying to strengthen defence and Wise was trying to sell everyone and buy no one (look at our squad we have a decent 1st 11, but almost no squad to speak of). We have major problems are NUFC, none of which will be solved by "strengthen from the back" platitudes. I'm not interested in your internal problems. I'm not a Newcastle fan. I'm a neutral looking at your side and observing that you have a terrible midfield who couldn't create chances to save their lives. I'm not saying sell Owen and Martins and buy nobody. Buy replacement strikers, but cheaper ones that aren't so high profile. Use the money to strengthen your midfield, because average strikers can score if your midfield can create. Sure you might not get the wonder goals that Owen scored today or Martins has scored before, but you'll get goals. As far as I know, theres no colum in the league table for "Amazing goals", it's just "goals scored", and if I was part of the management, I would be thinking about what the best way to get these goals would be. I'm saying the best way is to create lots of chances. You might disagree. But I know you have lots of internal problems that I'm overlooking, I hope all that gets sorted out sooner rather than later so that you can focus on building a strong team.
