My criteria of geordie is from Newcastle upon Tyne or Gateshead. I'll give you Gosforth Park to the North and Wallsend to Wylam. Heworth to Ryton. That's my interpretation. Whitley Bay for eg have a different accent in my view. Listen to how they say Tyneside. Would you class someone a Geordie who was born out of the area (anywhere) but moved into say central Newcastle when they were 1yr old and lived here 20 years? Also, would you class someone as a Geordie who lived in newcastle since birth but moved away after maybe 20 years? For me, I was born in the general and have lived in Benwell, West Denton, Newbiggin Hall, forest Hall, Longbenton & Gateshead for 36 years but now live in Lanchester so as far as I am concerned I'm as much a Geordie as anyone. In my scenario 1 above, Id class them as an adopted Geordie if they appeared as one. Oh, and I quit smoking about 8 years ago and never looked back. Dont have any desire to start again. Do sometimes catch a whiff from somewhere and I still like the smell, apart from off a person when they aint smoking and they dont realise how much they stink I was born in Limerick, though moved over here at about 3 months old. I class myself as a geordie, though I do get ripped by my mates for not being a proper one

I read that in its entirety a few months ago and it kept me entertained for hours

That's right, you Englandish folk only get 6 weeks off I got 14 Maybe having less time off from Education would have served you better? Maybe you should shut the fuck up, k Anth? I think I'm going to. I can't be chewed with insult tennis!

The 6 weeks Holiday is in full effect! How many of these knackers are from the same IP address?

Aye they dont need to go there though to 'see' it via telescopes etc. Like I say I'll hoy the link up to the documentary so you can have a gander

Aye, its a bit of a mindfuck thinking of what was there before the universe? What is that big black space made from? It must have started as something. There must be an end somewhere? I'm sure I read somewhere that they reckon 'space' is made up of dark matter, and if you travel 14 billion light years you reach the 'edge of the universe' which is a wall of cosmic background radiation, I'd love to know whats behind ut. Would love to fully understand atronomy / physics and stuff! There are some great documentaries on this sort of stuff. I'll dig them out later and post them

You see, I think this is a common misconception. Local Authorities are subject to both internal and External Audits on how they a run. Its easy for people to assume they are over staffed but I honestly dont think that is the case. Can you tell me which departments of which organisations you think are over staffed? I'm not disagreeing to have a go by the way.

All forms of Religions IMO were used to control people years ago, i.e. "Do as we say and you'll go to Heaven". They are total bollocks. Any way on the subject of 'God', I would like to think there is something afterwards, and sometimes I sort of think that life must have had some sort of intelligent design (I mean, the first cell ever created? Did all of the chemicals just bump into each other in a massive co-incidence?). Though deep down I reckon when you're dead thats it - Nowt.

Saw that this morning, actually spat me coffee out!

Rob, Ive worked for 3 local Authorities and I'm yet to meet a "Diversity Manager" or anything similar. Obviously Councils have "regeneration departments", But just because they dont empty bins or field customer services calls doesnt mean they aren't providing a service. I honestly think alot of people read Tory propaganda like this: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12...th-sickies.html And swallow it whole!

That's this months mortgage payment gone isn't it Not quite although it's more the fact she already thinks I'm a plonky Can I be rude and ask how much? I recently got a bottle from the year I was born (81) at a distillery in scotland. Was toying with the idea of hoying it on ebay.. £45 for the Caol Ila and £37.80 for the Bladnoch plus £10 postage. That's with a discount for forum members (discount varies but I got £20 off the Caol Ila one). That sounds like a lot of money perhaps but it's actually 'cheap' because it's an independent bottling, i.e. Bladnoch bought the Caol Ila cask then bottled it themselves. If you bought something like a 25 y.o. Caol Ila from the distillery itself it would over £100. Definitely. Btw, what are you looking to sell? I might be interested. I honestly can't remember the name as I'm not massively into Whiskey, just saw it was from 81 and made an impule purchase. I'll have a look when I get in and let you know

The whole of North West could not just little Stafforshire towns. Manchester is no where near as ugly as Liverpool though and its the people who are to blame. Ask yourself a question smart arse what the fuck as the North East provided music and football wise? Can they follow Liverpool and Man Utd or the beatles and Oasis Nah Ant and Dec, Newcastle and Sunderland on the floor laughing me tits of you loser Oh shit sorry mate yous provided byker grove well better than corrie and brookside Why do you keep mentioning these two in the same breath as the beatles? Why not mention Sting, Dire straights, Brian Johnson or the Animals? Using your 'best' band and trying to compare it to who you think are our shittest is hardly a worthy comparison it it?

I read that todays Skunk and the various strains are 10x stronger than the weed of the 60's.

See when I used to do them 97-2002, it was a real lottery, I bet not one I ever did was more than 50% MDMA. I remember one time doing a "pill" turned out to be Ketamine, I think it was anyway, worst thing ever, instead of my pupils being like saucers, they were like tiny pins. The drug of choice at my work is powder MDMA, but I doubt I'll get involved in that neither in the future, apparently its better than any pill though. That stuff is lethal, completley different to the pills like!

That's my view and I don't see why Rob should get abuse just for pissing against the wind either. I dont think he should either, but the comment complaining about people signing up to spam the board was out of order IMO.

Genuinely upsetting to read that. Agree that he should never be allowed out again. I've never supported the death penalty but people like this make me question my judgement.

Bloody Hell! I dont really know much about how these things work, I just assumed that they would get £50 here and there for tip offs names etc etc. Though that is alot I imagine if they are ever found out thats the end of them like!

Beware Scousers bearing gifts. Take nothing of value other than drugs. Have a good time Cheers, incidently someone else mentioned being careful of scousers (The Birkenhead lot). My Mule has let me down, Is security fairly thorough on the way in? Never actually been to Creamfields although my sister has. She said there was a wonderful array of tracksuit bottoms tucked into Lacoste socks on display though. Last event like that I went to was probably a Helter Skelter at Milton Keynes. I also remember going to Tribal Gathering back in the day which was mental due to the size alone. Sorry, that's not much help, is it? No Worries, still interesting to hear! And Helter Skelter? What was your favourite set? Dougal and vibes, or Hixxy? I actually went for the Jungle / Drum and Bass although the Happy Hardcore DJs would play some great sets in the old skool room. It's still going I think but they either do Jungle or Happy Hardcore events whereas the ones I went to did both (plus hardcore/nosebleed techno and old skool). Even though I don't like happy hardcore the atmosphere was better than at an all jungle night which can get a bit 'moody'. I never quite understood why events like Helter skleter and dreamscape played d'n'b in the same room as Happy harcore, two different styles at a different pace for different crowds, why not hoy them in separate rooms? Though tbh I would have spent most of the night in the techno / dutch gabber room Imo it worked because you had crowds moving about and mingling rather than people just staying in the same room all night. It's all about the craic and not just the music. I see what you mean though. Aye, I see your point about moving about. I suppose it would stop you standing in the same spot all night and seeing more of the venu,e bumping into people etc

Can dee, we'll get J69 along as well eh? No fan of The Trent though. Me and Tooj quite often go to Tilley's beforehand these days. The Trent's decent pre-match and post-match (soon clears out though) as it's got people who've gone for years on a match day (although the new owners seem to be trying to wreck it) and it's quite a sound crowd without having loads of radgies or owt but it's proper stoodentsville the rest of the time and not really my cup of char either. What actually happened with the Trent, havent been in for years and heard the owner sold it to conerntrate on world headquaters, has it changed?

Got tickets for Creamfields - Well looking forward to it, never been to a massive event and always fancied one ever since the days of Rezerection in Scotland. Has anyone any useful tips/ things to watch out for, essential items to take?
