  1. Wiki Apparently he's owned by West Ham. In a 4-1-2-1-2 Def. mid: Emre Right wing: Dyer Left wing: N'Zogbia Att. mid: Tevez Strikers: Owen, Martins Hmm, probably a bit too attacking minded, but I think it could work especially at home against teams outside the top 6. Anyway, the reason I mentioned him was that if we decide not to go for a targetman a la Ashton but a creative centreforward a la Beardsley, I think Tevez would be ideal...
  2. Just had a thought... Tevez as a playmaker behind Owen and Martins, could it work?
  3. 3-0 Charlton Darren Bent! Hammers going down!

Off topic, but should we try and get McBride in the summer? Reckon he would be a very good signing for us. Edit: Just found out he's 34, hmm.

    Ryan Giggs

Just scored a brilliant goal... Top class.
  6. I think there's a draw after this round which then predetermines the route to the final. Let's not get ahead of ourselves though, eh? 2006/07 Draw and match calendar
  7. If Darren Bent is a £16m-striker, this guy is worth at least £20m
  8. Best chance yet was when we fucked it up in Lisbon. Exactly, no-one we faced then were as difficult as Sevilla and Bremen would be. Bremen look distinctly ordinary after the winter break, nearly threw their comfortable lead from the first leg away and it needed some great goalkeeping for them... Yep, Wiese had some great saves. Wouldn't mind Huntelaar here Rosendings who just moved to Bremen from Ajax said before the first leg that ten Cate doesn't seem to be a great fan of him, so there might be the good chance to move for him. Not that I expect Newcastle to be so clever... Well Roeder was watching him last summer Anyway, they would probably want around £15m...
  9. The game against Alkmaar won't be easy. I've put the teams I think who are going to qualify in bold. As I said in the other thread recently, we can win against any team, but also lose, especially if we don't really improve with the injury list easing. Agree with those teams. As I see it, it's a 50-50 game.

  17. Tomasson on loan would've been a decent bit of business imo. He has always said that he'd love to come back to SJP. Loved the fans and the atmosphere.
