Was watching this earlier re: the polling

It's hard to say how long he would be given. Howe would be our first proper managerial sacking under this lot. We haven't really got a proper CEO with Eales needing replaced. Last time Staveley seemed to do a lot of the leg work (and perhaps some leaking with regards Emery) only to have to wait for the green light from Saudi Towers. If the Saudi's are as ruthless as everyone says with regards their projects we've not seen it here, everything has been meticulous. The PSR thing was the only major balls up, albeit one that seemed to fuck us in two windows.

It's just horses for courses.

I do wonder if there's more detail left out. If Mitchell has spent all summer saying Guehi was possible and then came to Howe after the season had started saying he was struggling to get him I'd be saying Guehi or nothing. Bringing in a CD with no PL experience and (presumably) wanting him to play it out from the back in a higher tempo league with no pre-season is a huge headache for someone who likes his teams drilled.

Troyes have been up and down the leagues since they've been a part of City Group. They'd be the ones in the third tier if Bordeaux hadn't had their issues and got placed there. It wouldn't be too much hassle to get Bordeaux stable again.
