What may come in is what really does worry me. I've no doubt we'd be linked to name like Big sam, Bruce or OLeary - none of which fill me we any hope. Id see no option but to let someone like Roeder run things until the end of the season while we gave a good luck around and not just pick up the first guy who's on his way out of another club anyway... again. You'd think they would be looking now, but we all know its in good NUFC tradition to do things arse about face.

Similar story ran by the Guardian:- Graeme Souness's grip on the manager's job at Newcastle United, which seemed to have been maintained by Lee Clark's injury-time equaliser against Middlesbrough at St James' Park on Monday, may be forcibly relinquished before Newcastle host Mansfield Town in the FA Cup on Saturday. The question on Tyneside continues to be when Souness goes rather than if, with Sam Allardyce the leading candidate to replace him. It is believed the compensation Newcastle would have to pay Bolton Wanderers is not prohibitive and that Allardyce would be prepared to accept a position he declined prior to Souness's appointment in September 2004. Article continues There was much activity at St James' yesterday and Souness may have been reassured that some of it centred on an attempt to prise Danny Murphy from Charlton Athletic. Newcastle are willing to offer Amdy Faye, bought by Souness for £2m a year ago, and Lee Bowyer as bait. But Souness's future was also understood to be on the hierarchy's agenda. Doubts at board level pre-date the Carling Cup defeat at Wigan in November, when the chairman Freddy Shepherd's car was surrounded by fans demanding Souness's removal. Wigan had seven of their reserve team playing that night. On Monday, with Newcastle trailing 2-1, there were chants of "Souness Out" from the Gallowgate End. Souness said he did not want to hear Wigan mentioned after beating Arsenal and West Ham but it will be brought up after every poor result because the League Cup offered a chance of a trophy in Alan Shearer's last season. The Middlesbrough match followed weak efforts at Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur. Before travelling to Tottenham Souness had a run-in with Stephen Carr, who was being asked to play at White Hart Lane after being out injured for two and a half months.Having observed how Emre Belozoglu and Kieron Dyer broke down after being brought back early, Carr said no. One man who did travel to Spurs was Glenn Roeder, who sat with Shepherd. Roeder, formerly manager of West Ham, is now academy director at Newcastle and is likely to be interim manager should Souness go before the Mansfield match.

Ive now had a dabble at each of thoe Arcadey things. How the hell some of those scores were reached Ill never know. In grim determination I will get to the top of one of them

Actually, this was, or at least a previous inversion of this was the first toon board I posted on. Before that I used to post on 24-7 until PC made the original Toontastic. So for me, it is the oldest! Oh, Im about 30% through trying the arcade thingies. Judging by the scores Ive had, at the scores you lot have had, there has been some serious serious loafing going on. Good to see

I am a Catholic actually. Or at least my parents decided I should be. Maybe the Ghost of JawD past will have something to say about that in my later life. I can hear my Gran nagging me now. Hmm... think I came off the rail a bit there ... Brrr still cold though.

Im back but sadly the heating isnt. Or at least wasnt and now is struggling to catch up. Bloody freezing.

James Milner as well, though I dont think he can be recalled. We know the squad needs improvement, but would you throw more money at it? Is that the answer? Lets say we had £15M so spend, would you give him at now leaving nothing for the summer, or mak him do loans and have the £15M for a new manager (possibly) in the summer?
-
Me. No no seriously. Or you. If fact, ok I wouldnt have the respect of the players so Id use maybe Shearer / TM for that. But anyone could see against Liverpool that his midfield had been put together on the bag of a soggy tab box. Against Liverpool? The bloke was having a laugh. Some things that have been done have seriously left me speechless. Selling Hughes for what, two buttons and milk bottle top? Letting Bernard go and bringing in Babayaro? THAT Liverpool midfield selection. Telling us we had to get used to winning 1-0. I could go on. The club used to be ran by a committee and not a manager, we could do a better job with a few of us than him, and that aint a joke.
-
Thing is though, when do you want him out? now? end of season? yesterday? I think we all were shocked / stunned / gutted when he arrived as the rest of the league giggled behind their hands at us. Since then he's made a couple of good signings, Owen (his signing or Shepherds?), Emre & Parker. As with most managers you then have the dross Faye, Boumsong (sorry, but £8M? better than Bramble, but £8M? when he went on a free?) and so on. The problem though I dont see as his transfer dealings. Though, I have to add in here, Hughes? Why? We could have done with him a few times now. Tactically, the guy is inept, that much has become clear. I was prepared to give him a chance, despite loathing the bloke, but then I think you have to. Trouble is, while its easy to say bring in X,Y or Z instead, its just not that easy. Do we give him money now or let him do loans only? For me, I dont see how he can leave until the end of the season. But, the club should be looking now and not waiting until he steps out of the door. £50M the bloke has had, look at spurs, look at liverpool we should at the very least be at that standard. But leaving now? who comes in? Shearer? Knowing our blood luck we'll start being linked to Bruce, after all, he's around where Blackburn were when we got GS.

I actually think I may have sickened myself of Greggs. I work near the one at the top of the Bigg Market and went through a phase where I went there pretty much every day for a month.. might have overdone it slightly. Popped into the Forest Hall one on Saturday to get a pasty for my mam and couldn't face having one myself. How times have changed. *Sigh* 73043[/snapback] You! No greggs! *runs to check Greggs share prices* Oh my.
