  1. Reading the replies to this I think the mackems will have a new enemy in Bristol Rovers.
  2. That goal shouldn’t count, they bought him in January and going by everyone’s reaction about us that’s surely not allowed.
  3. Two assists as well I think.
  4. Steven Gerrard ruining everyone’s fun again the stupid squeaky prick.
  5. Bring Karen so I can spark her out in all, gan on Middleton you toothless wonder. What’s it with mackems and immediately on about fighting btw? RTG is obsessed with it “might have lost 8-0 marras but we kicked those 14 year olds in at the train station so we won the war”. Thick cunts.
  6. Brucies boys putting on a show in a dead rubber against the bottom team. He knows when to get a result.
  7. Aye he wanted to manage the rarely done, yet still possible, double destroy and exit in a season. Seems like the WBA owners have thwarted his plans and his summer holiday to Benidorm will be cut to only the end of pre-season. Pulled out all the stops with this one too, brought in his son Alex whose only talent is that his GCSE results spell out FUDGE.
  8. Aye, I can’t really see much else than a backlash. Jonjo will be out there in flip flops, and factor 500 all ready for Dubai.
  9. They were the better side in a poor game, the goal come from an absolute nightmare bit of play by Wednesday (defender under little pressure completely underhit his pass back to the keeper then fell over). I definitely can’t see how they’d think it was a formality tbh.
  10. That goal by the way, what the fuck was the Sheffield Wednesday player doing.
  11. I’ve seen loads say “the mags invented flags at games then” as the defense. While we didn’t why’ve they not bothered doing anything like this before? Total shit rip off.
  12. Oldest trick in the book that, I don’t believe him tbh he’s talked about winning the Balon D’or one day so those quotes fit. Like Wykiki says too there’s not a whole lot of difference between what the original posts said and what he claims was meant, the end result is the same really even if he didn’t directly mention them.
  13. “Never hesitated to protect us” didn’t he throw the players under the bus basically any opportunity he had to do so?
  14. I love their weird thing about Gateshead too. As if it’s completely insane people from Gateshead support Newcastle, who would have thought a town that’s about 200 meters from Newcastle would have Newcastle supporters. They’re fucking unreal.
  15. I agree I would prefer it not to be Richarlison, but he has more goals and the same assists in less games this season for a team that’s worse and has scored less. That’s before considering this is ASM’s best season in the PL for goal involvements, and Richarlison has exceeded ASMs tally every season at Everton, got the same as ASM has now his first season at Watford when he was about 18.
  16. Spot on. This is why I totally disagree with any calls to build a team around him, he’s absolutely not that sort of talent or player. He’s a complete individual and as you’ve pointed out completely oblivious to the flaws in his own game. I saw something by the other 14 that showed him as creating the most chances, 45, in the league outside of top 6 players. While it might be the case I think a lot of those chances are either missed due to his own dog shit finishing, or as Fish pointed out with the example where he passed late to Bruno - he’s delayed the pass and while a chance was created it’s not a clean one or he’s at least made it more difficult than it needed to be. Personally I’m not a fan of him as a player, I totally get most disagree with me but I think for most the time he plays he’s either a passenger or a downright liability. I also don’t think he was better under Bruce, I just think the complete lack of shape or plan made him look better, his runs were exciting and he had no options anyway so it was seen as our only chance at goals, whereas now there is a shape and a plan, he has options on most of his runs but he just refuses to take them. As your other post pointed out his crossing is frankly a total fucking embarrassment. I agree with him that he would probably set up more with better players, but every single player could say that - put Chris wood in the 2008 Barca team and he’d score more than he has here, it’s a stupid comment and makes him look a complete arsehole. The fact is for all his bluster and stats about his dribbling (btw can we all fucking agree having the most dribble attempts doesn’t equate to being the best at it), he hasn’t scored a goal since January 15th, and before his assist against Norwich hadn’t set one up since we played Watford back in September. He can moan about quality of players but Bruno has almost caught him up in terms of goals and assists with far less games, and from a far deeper position, yet has the same players around him.
  17. It’s a weird one, and maybe he was to blame for some of them but I just can’t see how he has the blame for conceding 2 in 2 minutes he has no real way of controlling that. The players absolutely had to play keep ball to settle down after conceding, but they immediately turned the ball over from the kick off - unless Guardiola was screaming at them to do that I’m not sure what he could have done to cause it. It’s possible he made subs or tactical changes in some of the others that led to collapses, I’m not an agenda driven little Manchester United glory hunter like Delaney so will defer to that sad little prick on that one but I just can’t blame Guardiola for his team collapsing against Madrid. His tactical set up absolutely leathered Madrid in the first leg as well, if the players could have took their chances they should have basically been out of sight anyway.
  18. Fucking hell, they’ll literally get annoyed with anything those idiots. I guess they’ve totally forgotten about all the times they bang on about South Shields .
  19. I’m not really sure how it’s Guardiola’s fault, I know he gets accused of overthinking at times, but they should have scored far more in the first leg, and lost because 2 goals in 2 minutes pushed them to extra time. I’d personally say more fault lay with the players if you’re being harsh and looking to point blame.
  20. The one we won under Allardyce (a while back I know) felt like a fucking loss.
  21. It could be, but again he only played about 9 games under Benitez - it’s not unusual for a young player to come through and look up to it for a short spell. His knee injury that ended that season for him definitely slowed him down too. I still think it’s just to ensure we can get a fee to sell or loan him out. I guess I’m in the minority that’s not seeing what all the hype about Shelvey’s upturn in performances under Howe is about, so I’d question why Longstaff isn’t getting more opportunities over him, or Willock, if there really is some plan to give him a role going forward. I view this point as our lowest ebb where we will build and improve, so the players on the very fringes, or unregistered, I just don’t see having as much worth going forward as some do. Not having a go at Howe btw and totally trust the team but just for discussion purposes I don’t understand this move.
