  1. Aye there’s been a distinct lack of discussion around testicular fortitude on here as of late.
  2. “@hekitike9 Hugo is fine. I assure you! No injury! So it's ok to score even more next season. But where ? I asked the question if he would go to Newcastle. He smiled at me!” This is doing the rounds on Twitter. The smiling at the question could mean fuck all, but it seems like the cutting his holiday short story was right as the blokes other tweets say this was in Reims.
  3. It’s got the “here we go” treatment from Fabulous, so seems it’s done.
  4. I like Pope tbf, I know Dubravka is a canny keeper but he’s also missed half our games over the last two seasons - however you rate them both as AH says we now have genuine competition in that position rather than dropping from Dubs to Darlow for half the season. A relatively small outlay as well given the state of the market.
  5. Aye why are they fucking bothered about suggestions a bloke that hasn’t played for them in fucking ages shouldn’t be first choice for his national side (something else that’s nothing to do with SAFC)? Bunch of irrelevant plebs.
  6. I’d love us to say “sounds good, we can’t compete with them at this stage so the offer we made is our final offer and we will be looking at other options, let us know within the next week as we plan to be in advanced stages with others”.
  7. Agreed, if we can work to bring in say 3-4 Bruno/Trippier type signings, and then a couple more Pope/Targett/Burn type signings it’ll have been a brilliant window. Like you say those Bruno type signings are going to be dragged out as we are dealing with agents, clubs, and sometimes even the players themselves that know there’s a market for them - in the past we were often the only one in for a player (like Joselu for example). Ashworth is experienced and will know how long to spend on a target and when to give a final deadline before moving on.
  8. Staveley keeps looking better and better from this court case . Loving the idea the rancid fucking cunt that is Mike Ashley asked to be allowed to keep a stake in NUFC and Staveley told him to whistle. I live in hope that one day I’ll hear that Ashley has went bankrupt and can no longer afford his extra relaxed fit jeans and size 3 lonsdales, horrible little prick he is. He’s so full of shit about the sponsorship fees as well. As AH says, even if it’s true that he had been paying - he clearly knew he was underpaying if his defence was “ohh yeah well you know takeover and all that so we paid nuffink but we were going to double the amount” (even double was clearly low for all the exposure his tatty brand had). Chancing prick.
  9. This toonpolls lad is claiming he sent Ekitike a picture of a birthday cake saying where can I send it, and Ekitike DM’ed him with the message in the video. I was skeptical when I saw the screenshots but this seems to show him clicking through and showing it all then the profile - not sure how you’d fake it unless he’s sad enough to splice videos together. People are having a go saying the handle on the DM is all caps whereas Ekitikes is all lower case - I’m not sure that matters as the profile he clicks through to looks to be Ekitike, and I don’t think Twitter handles are case sensitive. tldr; might be something might be fuck all.
  10. Even if they were the best performers the world has ever seen Sunderland is still a hovel, their football club is a wank lower league side, and their stadium is a generic template.
  11. “…but secret geordie cabal member number one there’s a problem, the staffies keep fornicating and defecating everywhere” ”that’s a problem how? Our studies show the mackems are now showing pride in the ever increasing mounds of dog todd throughout their town. There’s also posts on their forum discussing how there’s no major sites of staffie love making in Newcastle, maybe we will even run a look north special on it to further fan the flames of pride” ”good idea should we send Jeff to cover it?” ”No, you must be the new member, send the new reporter from North Shields - make him slightly judge and show disdain for the story and make sure he mentions he’s from North Shields. They’ll be so overcome with rage that even if they themselves found the staffy orgie to be disgusting they’d be nothing but boastful towards it.”
  12. And what wouldn’t be true about points a through d? . So they’re now abbreviating Ed Sheeran and Elton John? fucking hell man you’d think they’d never had concerts before the way they’re fucking banging on about it, do they think anyone gives a fuck? They let people perform at their stadium, people choose to perform there, the same acts would perform anywhere so long as there was demand and capacity to do so. It’s not like Elton John is weighing up between playing at both grounds thinking “well I’m a MLF and the Geordie’s are all deluded animals so I’m going to perform in a flat pack stadium in the middle of what looks like abandoned land” it’s not they deep lads. They fucking LOVE that airshow as well man, it’s canny for kids but fucking hell again it’s not something you should bother holding up over other towns/cities as it could be held pretty much anywhere on the coastline.
  13. To be fair the one lad that says “In Sunderland it feels like most the shite has been condensed into a couple of areas” is right, it just so happens the shite is condensed to anywhere with an SR post code, the remaining bits are average bits of countryside where either various stray dogs go for a shag, or Uncal Mick, Lal Mick, and Plain Mick do overnight camp outs and drink loads of white lightening mixed with blue drink. It’s one of those things they often go at but I’ve no fucking clue why they do, it’s a topic they’re just better off adding to the ever growing list of ones to avoid. Sunderland is a dump, it simply is, they can bring up Benwell all they want and while it is rough and shite (before any Stevie types start - I get a pass on slating it as my dad grew up in Benwell), as you say all cities have areas like that, but in comparison Sunderland doesn’t have areas like Jesmond, Gosforth, Benton. They won’t count the coast, despite it all having a Newcastle postal code, so equally I’ll rule out any of their coastal areas which rules out any hope of them bringing up a nice area nearby. Not even being biased tbh, Sunderland is just a shithole. In many ways I wish it wasn’t as crap as it is, it’s a fucking embarrassment for the region but thankfully people outside of the UK generally haven’t heard of it.
  14. I’m surprised Svetlana and Natalya can stomach being that close to him and his rancid shoes regardless of how much he’s pretended he will pay them. There must be a support group for all the people he’s offered to pay for photos after he sprints off back under his bridge with his can of Kestrel super.
  15. He’s a twat, I don’t even get the point he (and it seems a few others) are even making. The same idiots were tweeting and retweeting “all we demand is a club that tries” - we’ve already spent £13m on a player, signed two promising youth players, and if negotiations had went our way would have two £30m players in and it’s only week 1 of the window.
  16. I am warming to the idea he’s just trolling people now.
  17. “Toucher” He’s a crease, even the mackems give him a wide berth.
  18. He responded to a tweet with this, the tweet or account have been deleted but it’s just sad to see people basically having a pop at the owners to a level where one of them wants to respond. We’ve had 7 fucking days of this window, we are after a higher calibre of player, and in that time there’s been internationals/people on holiday. We’ve already signed a £13m player, and have had accepted bids on at least two players that we know of, while signing two promising youth players. I think the issue is people refreshing twitter and getting this constant feed of “it’s so close” “oh they’re actually not interested” “now it’s close again” from various media sources. We’ve already done more than we probably did in the first week of a summer transfer window under Ashley.
  19. Aye out of interest I took a quick look at the exempt items in the UEFA FFP rules and they didn’t mention anything on fees, it focused on just infrastructure and staffing as you mentioned, as well as outreach programs to assist local youth clubs. It did say that while these infrastructure and development costs are exempt the proceeds from sale of youth players is included, another reason for the focus on it.
  20. This has to be the most absurd out of their new topics to attack us for. “Haha they might get beat to players by PSG and Milan” so will almost every other club on the planet you nonce supporters, if we do sign both will they be posting about how gutted they are that we beat Milan and Paris? Or will that interest never have existed?
  21. I mean they know themselves what they’re saying simply is not true.
  22. I think this guy isn’t the most reliable source but I’ve seen tweets from other spots on this so maybe something in it. It definitely seems like they’re working hard to improve our youth playing staff, the two defenders they’ve brought in so far, linked to this lad and a Brazilian youth player as well. The fee is high but I’m not sure how youth players factor into FFP? I remember seeing youth and women teams mentioned as exemptions in some way but I can’t remember if that was just for infrastructure rather than player fees.
  23. What I said aligns with what Luke’s saying, so write it off lads.
  24. It’s his agent fucking about I reckon. The lad is hugely ambitious but he’s the type that wants to play and show what he can do - which is pretty unlikely given PSG’s attackers, by all accounts up until this RMC report he was more than happy to sign and the only thing holding up the deal was agent fees. His agent is probably trying to tempt other offers, or saying he’s heard of interest to get our lot to up the agent fee in a panic to get Ekitike in. I think the Botman situation is similar, a lot of this is new to us as we’ve basically been signing rubble for 15 years and now we are aiming for high profile players who are starting to attract (or have) interest from CL teams so we’re in that weird middle ground where the players will come due to the ‘project’ but the agents see a massive pot of money and want to extract as much as they can so they play these games.
