I know he works hard but Almiron has fuck all ability on the ball, we really should have replaced him this summer. Pretty much any time the ball goes his way the move is killed. Trippier has been brilliant so far imo, Targett had a shaky start but grew into the half, and I really like the pairing of Schar and Botman.

Shame about Bruno, I know he was limping a bit during the Tranmere game always a risk when we have to bring him on against a team of throbbers whose entire game plan was to hurt our players. Targett deserved to miss out imo, he was very poor against Tranmere and Burn has been decent there imo. My only real complaint with the selections today is I’d rather see Anderson start over either Willock or Longstaff. I expect we will have a lot of energy in this one to try and make up for lack of quality, Wolves aren’t prolific and we are solid so hopefully we can get a goal which would likely win the game.

The scary part is their team still hasn’t really clicked playing a 9 yet. I watched a clip recently highlighting a number of times where he was wide open with an open net and his team mate just needed to square it to him but they weren’t expecting him to be in the position so took the shot instead.
