  1. They should just scrap the fucking thing. I thought it would be a heap of shit before it was brought in and it’s honestly worse than I even thought. They’re not really getting much more correct using it than without it, even the ones being shown as examples of it correcting something can often be the ref or linesmen not making decisions knowing VAR will review. There’s no way the % of decisions they’re getting correct over just allowing the on field ref to referee it is worth this fucking hassle.
  2. If anyone cares how their special red and white relationship with Stoke is going after a third rate manager fucked them off for far bigger club Stoke… it’s going
  3. Such a fucking weird thing to try and lie about . A group of lads born and raised in North Shields say they’re Newcastle fans “nee way marra it’s impossible they’re Newcastle fans”.
  4. He could do Longstaffs job imo, but as Craig said hopefully the midfield will be Bruno, Joe and Willock - I think I’d prefer to see him over Almiron or Fraser in that RW role in some games to see what he can offer there as currently we just get so little from that position. I’d honestly be tempted to see Almiron moved back into Willocks role as I think Willock offers so little currently and Almirons pressing is better.
  5. Fully agree, we play such a good pressing game that every opponent starts getting frustrated and flopping about - the refs more often than not start giving fouls. There was moment where Zaha stepped over the ball and just fell over no Newcastle player near him and he started screaming for a free kick, I honestly thought the ref would give it based on the decisions we’ve been getting recently . Its not often that the response to decisions is so unananimous in our favor but the Isak offside and so far todays decision I’ve seen nothing but confusion over the decision from everyone that’s not a Liverpool/Palace/mackem fan.
  6. Just another game where our lack of quality on the ball cost us, Howe’s game plan is so impressive Palace are a good side and there was very few spells of the game where Palace had any type of control or attack in numbers.
  7. Anderson looks to have real quality on the ball, really hope Howe starts giving him a chance over some of the players starting.
  8. He literally hasn’t. You only send it to the referee if there is a clear and obvious error made, what was the clear and obvious error made on the play? There was no foul on Guita, Willock was pushed into him the VAR ref rightly reviewed the play and should have saw that the push caused the impact to the keeper and not advised the referee to review his decision. Instead he wrongly advised the referee to review his decision with the sideline monitor - going to the sideline monitor is not VAR review that is the VAR official saying the referee is incorrect. Last post on this for me because you’re not going to own up to being wrong despite everyone telling you with people even citing the FA guidelines.
  9. Mason hasn’t done what he’s meant to do. He only should advise the ref to take another look if there was a clear and obvious error. The initial VAR review is perfectly fine, people are taking issue with the fact he told the on field ref to review his initial decision
  10. That’s not what anyone is arguing though is it? The initial decision was correct, it was reviewed by VAR which is fine but then the VAR official wrongly decided the on pitch decision was wrong and advised the ref to take another look - that’s the bit people are complaining about the VAR official shouldn’t have interjected there and advised another look he should have accepted the initial decision. Of course the on field ref makes a decision but at the same time I’ve never seen a ref go to the monitor and not overturn his initia decision.
  11. The review is correct and fine, but when he sends it to the ref to watch on the sideline he’s implying the referees decision is probably incorrect so is advising the ref to take another look. I really can’t remember many times (if any) where the ref watched the sideline monitor and didn’t change his decision.
  12. Longstaff must take heavy sleeping pills before stepping onto the pitch, never seen a bloke be caught so flat footed every time the ball goes his way.
  13. That’s actually a fucking disgrace, so our player is shoved into the keeper and they get a benefit from it? The officiating is a fucking disgrace.
