Agreed, I like Behrami a lot he looked good in the few games I watched him in the Euros and the few times I've seen him for Lazio.

I thought Winehouses performance was shite last night tbh just a mumbling mess and when she come off the stage you were just waiting for her to fall over while she stumbled about mumbling rehab. Jay-Z was good from the half hour or so I watched of him.

They really aren't getting any information from inside our club now

NUFC bid 50 million Swedish Kronor for Sebastian Larsson!
Howay replied to bassplayerjj's topic in Newcastle Forum
I hope this isn't the level of player we're going for like I think we can do better even in our current position. -
He signed a new contract with saint ettiene till 2012 iirc, don't think he ever turned us down can't remember hearing of us ever having a bid accepted or anything.

newcastle fan from burnley? call me a glory fan I dare you

Just wondering but didn't this used to be considered tapping up a player and against the rules? Fergie couldn't complain like. Didn't he do exactly the same with Ferdinand, Robben, Stam, Saha and Van Nistelrooy with varying degrees of success? Aye true I was just wondering if there's still a rule against it as noone seems to care anymore iirc Klose was tapped up by Bayern.

Nope meant more like the 2005 CL final. against a team of 50 year olds that had tired by half time They were good enough to be in the final that year. the best team doesnt always win and you have picked 1 big game out for gerrard. what about in games against chelsea, man utd and arsenal in the league? and imo gerrard stands out alot more than he should because of liverpools team being so bad. As 2J shows that Milan team is a very good team, he does play well in big games if Liverpool are so bad and he's the one that stands out then that surely means he's doing most the work when they play Chelsea etc so when they beat them or draw surely he is playing well.

you can say that about any player though. etoo and messi wernt exactly up to their normal standard against man utd and thats because they are playing against a better defence than what they normally do and messi is arguably the best player in the world Messi always looked dangerous and never went missing. He always wanted the ball too. Contrast that with Ronaldo in the same matches. i wouldnt have really said he looked that dangerous. i can only really remember him having one decent chance and that went wide. But my point is even if you think messi had a decent game he wasnt up to his usual standards which is because hes playing against a better defence than normal and therefore cant play aswel, which is why i dont think ronaldo should be singled out for saying he isnt world class because he goes missing in big games. I really haven't seen Messi play in enough big games to comment in all honesty. well to explain my point i can use henry as my example. Henry in the Premiership was amazing against every team. But when it came to playing teams like man utd or chelsea he wasnt up to he usual standards he was just decent as he is playing against a better defence. However imo there is no doubt that henry is world class and therefore the same should go for ronaldo. It's a fair criticism of both players imo - i.e. the questionable big game temperament. And both are (or at least were in Henry's case) world class. Some really good players thrive under the big game pressure, some don't. No one is saying he isn't world class though. well the point was that ronaldo goes missing in big games. Can you name me a attacking player that doesnt go missing in big games that currently plays in the premierleague? Gerrard (if you class him as attacking) always seems to perform.

Yeh. Total shite... He's fucking having a laugh now isn't he first calling Arteta average and now calling Zlatan crap Have you ever seen Ibrahimovic play Torres? 32 goals in 53 games for Inter is a very good return he also contributes loads to the rest of play not overrated at all. Sure I have.....................every time we knock Juve out of Europe! He`s one of the highest paid players in football and is really crap value for it..............as park life said. But I've just proven he's of good value with a goal tally in excess of 1 in 2 also as sloop john mentioned he contributes loads of assists. Yes he is on massive wages but most players are, he is just as good if not better than other players that earn around as much as he does.

Your bids are coming after ours tbh

Drogba is world class imo he's quick, powerful, two footed, good finisher and quick thinking albeit he's a cheater and can be stupid at times (like the Champions league final) but that doesn't mean he's doing that because he can't cope with the opposition. I definitely think Downing is overrated and can't believe he still gets picked for England squads.

Unlucky mate, you'll just have to hope he doesn't do too much damage before you get rid. Agreed on the Karma point though .
-
I have heard that he is soon to be a Spurs player. good lad. Hope he is an understudy to a more experianced keeper. One of the best saves to shots against ratios in the league last season iirc he'd be fine as the first choice imo.
-
Sheringham, no idea really but he's played for enough clubs.

If we end up with no players (a big if btw!) I won't be blaming Spurs, I'll be blaming big Mike.... It's not his fault as soon as the papers get wind of our interest Spurs immediately ring up and offer "twice whatever Newcastle have offered for this pukka geezer". I dont think we have ever outbid you for a player have we? Add to that the fact we have a 50K wage ceiling. Players just want to play for us because we have a manager with a great reputation. Darren Bent is on 90k a week iirc.
