  1. Aye reeto you're winding us all right up with this one, good work special lad.
  2. and as soon as you start eating again you will pile it on. Aye, I told this to a lad I went to school with who did a starvation diet type thing and he told me I had no idea what I was talking about. He dropped a few stone then as soon as he started eating his body instantly stored it all as fat obviously not knowing when the next meal would come and he promptly put it all back on plus extra
  3. Bang on the Mackems were in uproar but he never physically touched Gordon so there's nowt wrong with it. Iirc they were all moaning a few year ago (think it was the 4-3 game under Souness) when they had a disallowed goal after Whitehead (?) basically rugby tackled Given while another player tapped it in, then they say Nolan restricted the Keeper .
  4. This is what's been making me laugh this season like, every fucka seems to be forgetting we've only just been promoted this is our 1st season back. We're not even playing bad football his analysis of lumping it to Carroll and Nolan couldn't be any less accurate.
  5. Should post more, Stevie. Should write for the Chronicle there'd be hell on
  6. Seem to have taken quite a long look at a picture of Stevie there Danny
  7. Harrison, actually. Harrisburg is in Pennsylvania. Of course, Harrison, the home of the "New York" Red Bulls, is in New Jersey. The Cosmos don't have a stadium and aren't registered for any competitions. I think they fancy they're going to be the Harlem Globetrotters of "soccer", going around the country and playing exhibition matches. It sounds like a huge publicity stunt and one that will end in failure, tbh. I know it's in NJ, same as the Giants and Jets play in NJ. Hmm doesn't sound good like, when they scheduled to start up I read somewhere it wasn't till 2013 they think till they'll be playing.
  8. Aye it's nice stuff like, the NY Red Bulls just got a new Stadium built in Harrisburg I watched them play Chivas USA in it decent ground but one of them flat packs tbh. Any news on where the Cosmos will play? be interesting to see who people follow like because most the 'soccer' followers have switched to the Red Bulls but obviously started off Cosmos fans before they went last time.

    Spurs

We play you at the weekend that's why Spurs are being talked about, same as we talked about the Mackems pre-derby game. Fwiw I think Spurs have done it right and Levy has worked hard at it they wont 'do a Leeds' and Redknapp would put them into financial problems because I honestly don't think Levy would let him, and I know that was just coming from the scouser with a Newcastle obsession. And to be fair most of the thread was just Stevie and Rabit sharing a knuckle supper last night. Spurs will be relevant until ten to five this Saturday tbh. And aye you're right, it's class all these fans of other clubs coming on just before we play them and calling us obsessed for talking about them in the run up to the game. There is a NUFC vs Spurs thread for that. All I can see on here is some daft kid obsessing about us and our transfer policy and Stevie putting him in his place. It's fine, the country is obsessed with us. We are the media darlings, Bale is the son of god, VDV is THE SIGNING OF THE SEASON (copyright sky) and Redknapp is a managerial mastermind. Embrace it. Oh dear.

  13. I actually had that argument with a Liverpool fan not so long back after he called Carroll shit, he told me he thought N'Gog was better and the lad believed it. It wouldn't surprise me if queen of the spelling bee up there thought the same.
  14. I agree. Our spoiling tactics worked well first half, Barton especially was winding them up something rotten. He did well as captain. Then Perch was left isolated against Lennon and that was it. Will be interesting to see how Enrique does vs Lennon as he'll be the paciest he's faced this season. I have full confidence in Jose though, an absolute quality player and could make a big difference this time. Aye Enrique is fast in all maybe not as fast as Lennon but he's got the beatings of him physically. Enrique's strength is his biggest plus imo many wingers underestimate his pace and knock it past him only to either be beaten to the ball or have him out muscle them, I think the latter is what we'll see him do a lot against Lennon.

Fucking hell CT I hope you're joking
  16. you know he's good when we're hoping he's crocked and they're hoping he passes a late fitness test. Still nee Tiote which isn't good, I think he'd have been a monster in this game because of Spur's lack of physical power in midfield as mentioned in another thread. Could be close one this I think a lot depends on if Carroll's fit.
  17. Like Tiote? I'll probably get slated for this but I'd like us to sign someone like DJ Campbell in all honesty I think he'd compliment Carroll well. Slated? I'll fucking batter you! He's shit, pops up with a few goals more out of luck than guile. I swear, we'd be better off with Airey winning a chance than spending money on Campbell. Guilty fave of mine the little bassa
  18. You are a Liverpool fan. At the moment you're the biggest laughing stock in the country so I would pipe down and look a bit closer to Anfield for jokes to tell on the boat. Not at all cos Paul McCartney is coming in as director of football and Kerry Katona is going to give all her Iceland money to LFC and then they'll buy Messi and play him in midfield alongside Souness who'll come out of retirement for King Kenny.

Aye canny decent player tbh, him not playing much is only because Bale's class he'd definitely do a job for us and if that's the position we decide to play BA he'd be good back up/impact sub. I know. He has this image that he's a bit of a twat, but I think he comes across OK me like. Don't know about his taste in women like, but football wise he works very hard, and he's quite good on the ball. See Bale, it's hard to believe it's 12 months ago he nearly went to Forest on loan. Aye, let's be honest nowadays most players can be twats, as long as it doesn't affect him game it's not an issue. Aye seems like he puts in a good shift and a canny ball. Ana sometimes all these lads need is a chance, I think given a good run of games O'hara would be a solid signing for us. Plus signing someone like him would free up BA to maybe play alongside Nolan sitting behind Carroll with Tiote sitting deep and Barton on the right. See if that was our regular side, I'm not being deluded here, but we really could come 6th. The two dippers are shite, Bolton won't stay there, and who else is there? Sunderland? 6th is not out of the question imo. Aye you're right it would be a very potent team attack wise plus O'hara and Barton don't shirk defensive duties, would be a canny team and gives Carroll 2 different types of players to play off as well as decent service from both wings.

Aye he definitely seems to want to move him back there, at the moment though his form on the right is nothing short of incredible (probably the best I've seen him play including his City days) so I'd keep him out there for the forseeable future.
