Just heard about this, in total shock here. Great man, great player absolutely gutted about this. R.I.P Speedo.
-
The man is a complete tosser, I highly doubt we'd be very far of relegation every season if we got the results he predicts. Like Tom says here we'd have 10 points so far this season if we'd got the results he predicted, we'd be in massive trouble if so.

Aye they hammered him last night "I took all these children away from their homes without fully knowing where they were going, what am I a Penn State recruiter". He was interviewed this week in all said he wasn't a nonce but he "probably shouldn't have showered with boys" and that he touched their legs etc but isn't sexually attracted by them, they've also released info saying his houses back garden overlooks a elementary school playground and he used to sit and watch them every day. Sounded like a full on nonce in all heavy breathing the lot, lock him up.

well they had more points, no? you still get 3 points for a win..etc etc. They lost a group game, we didn't, points are irrelevant in this comparison. Only a yank would rely on a stat like that. .....check your facts stevie, same amount of games they won two group games and drew one....england won one and drew two.....whatever, agree with alex's post they would have been seeing a better opportunity to go through where as everyone including the england XI knew germany was going to drub you. They lost a group game to Holland.

Utter pish. Japan lost today to wait for it.....drum roll................NORTH FUCKIN KOREA. That team in our group, Montenegro are better than Japan. Confident enough of Japan beating England to put money on it, people are getting way too carried away here as 'shite' as people like to think England are we're still a very strong international side.

If we can manage a draw I'll be chuffed, despite how well we've been doing I see it being a loss though.

The lad at CSKA moscow and the young kid on loan at Feyenoord (?) from Arsenal are supposedly canny (only seen each of them play a few times in European games admittedly), but I do get Stevie's point. I reckon the best answer has been Alex's that the best athlete's gravitate to where the money (and fame) in the country is, Weightlifting, badminton, table tennis etc are dominated by Asians, so even though millions of them probably do play football they're simply lads who weren't born with the coordination or balance etc to make it as a top player whereas the lads that do have that skill and may have been top players ended up playing Table tennis or weightlifting. Or maybe the (slightly racist) answer is they may not, for the most part, have the right genetic make up for the sport. Similar to how West African nations produce better footballers to east African nations, (as genetically they tend to be more powerful and explosive and eastern Africans tend to be better at distance running due to the altitude of many east African countries) same as most black American footballers can trace their roots back to west African countries. So imo it's probably a mix of interest (they prefer watching to playing) and genetics (?(stereo typically Asians have better hand eye coordination which is why they dominate table tennis etc))

Are you Newcastle Ant? I agree the wages do my head in and the agent fees are mental sometimes (Urby Emmanuelson's agent asking me for £6m!), I managed to get Daniel Sturridge for £2.6m in my 2nd season after having a ton of loan bids rejected for him my first season (wasn't able to pay 100% of his 60k a week) and he only wanted around £40k a week from me. I'm struggling to find a formation that allows me to comfortably beat teams I'm the overwhelming favorite over which is a bit frustrating.
-
Slovakia are shite man, their world cup group was Paraguay, an imploding Italy and NZ. They got comfortably beaten by Paraguay and then lost in the next round how does that make them good? Not quite sure how it's laughable to say Wales, Montenegro and Bulgaria are better than Armenia, Macedonia and Andorra.
-
Russia are canny but Slovakia aren't anything. Wales, Montenegro, Switzerland and Bulgaria are all better than Armenia, Macedonia and Andorra tbh I'd say they're both easy groups and both similar in difficulty mainly due to us having 1 less team in the group. We both struck lucky.

This is the shocking thing, the bloke is 6' 5" and built like a barn door in all so it's hardly like he was intimidated by a naked 60 year old all he did was turn and leave the facility then ring his dad afterwards. He's not going to be at their game on saturday 'for his safety' he should have been gone before Paterno tbh.
-
Penn state had no real choice imo, Paterno and the others had an eye witness to a bloke diddling a ten year old in the shower and didn't go to the authorities. Paterno was in his 70's at the time he surely knew better, it's actually unbelievable that when the higher ranks 'punished' Sandusky by doing nothing more than banning him from bringing children to Penn State's facilities which is basically saying 'just don't be a nonce here eh' not one of the guys in the know about this (the 2 higher up's, Paterno and Mcqueeran or however you spell it) thought I'm going to the police about this, it'd be the 2nd thing I did after I punched Sanduskys lights out. I'm canny sure I've heard this vile fuck has touched a few more lads up in the 8 years it's took to bring it all to court, if true that's on the conscious of the guy's who didn't act. Imagine if he'd killed someone they'd all be accomplices to murder. I do feel for Penn State fan's though it's a terrible way for their Sir Bobby Robson figure to have his reign ended and the Penn State board will be a joke unless they fire all those that didn't act (including the bloke that witnessed it).

Woke up this morning completely sickened by this still. The 1881 T-shirts on .co.uk prove to me this move is exactly as Gemmill said earlier him saying 'I'm the boss' and just a kick to everyones bollocks. The upside for him is a ridiculous amount of free advertisement, in regard to ewerk's quote we all knew deep down he'd never change it back, I now find it difficult to believe that even when this fat cunt dies or sells the club that the stadium will ever officially be St James' Park again unless the new owner is a local why would they change it back? the outrage and storm over the change would have already been done and if the cunt does manage to wrangle a ten year deal or something along those lines it's done. The people saying it doesn't matter as we'll always call it SJP need to wake up as aside from the other millions or reasons mentioned as to why this is awful this is now ANOTHER thing opposing fans can hurt us with as soon as they want a rise out of us. I think it was mentioned earlier by HMHM but to a club like ours that hasn't had any silverware in so long pride and history are crucial to us the name St James' Park was a massive part of both it's not just a 'name' and anyone who says so is a complete and utter mug.
-
I've never ever softened my stance to this fat doylem, I never will I hate him. Just look forward to the day this fat waste of air dies or gets bored and we get a new owner who will surely get rid of this horrific insult to the fans. I feel sick to the bottom of my stomach the longer I think about this the worse it is, my earlier post about getting behind the team isn't even sitting well with me anymore this fat cunt is ruining everything he's mutating the club I grew up with, the club I love what a horrible arrogant total cunt of a man. This total shitbag isn't doing this for profits anymore this is a precise calculated swift kick to the collective bollocks of everyone born and raised in and around Newcastle, as has already been said he could have simply sold the rights but he knew NOONE would touch them same as noone would touch the naming rights for Old Trafford or Anfield. I hate him and will not type what I wish on this mug.

Completely agree with this, it's absolutely appalling if this is true. Back to the poisonous atmospheres of previous seasons. I'm not saying "it's just a name" or anything like that, but we should try to keep our feelings towards the owner seperate from our respect and appreciation of how the players and staff are doing. I agree fully, after all the hard work the players and staff have done to give the fans a positive and to keep us from thinking about MA and his cronies he goes and does something that will cause more protesting etc, I can't stand this bloke. I hope the atmosphere in the ground is nothing but positive.

Fat cunt, totally incompetent fat cunt. He really can't seem to help himself really anytime we're showing any sort of signs of progression he needs to do something to try and rock the boat it seems, what's becoming a positive atmosphere at games will again turn strongly negative anyone that still thinks this bloke is good for us is a mug. I'll never ever refer to the ground as anything but St James' Park. Just another needless smack to the face of every Newcastle fan from this total waste of skin.
-
He mortal again the fucking waster.
-
The bloke's barely played for us man, that massive post is all just theory. From his past we know he's a hot head but he's also an excellent passer and dribbler of the ball and he can defiantly improve our side we just need to find where best to fit him in and get him a good run of games in the premiership.
-
What a load of dross I like the bit saying the team isn't everyone's cup of tea considering its got more fan favorites in it than any team since Robson.

Newcastle United vs Everton match thread
Howay replied to Monroe Transfer's topic in Newcastle Forum
I have slated Guthrie in the past but credit where credits due he's been canny recently and hasn't made any large fuck ups like he has previously done, agree with Semimental that he's starting to put me at ease that he can be an effective back up for Cabaye/Tiote. I reckon we have the team spirit to thank for players who've previously looked a bit dodgy now playing tidy and effective football. All the players really seem to be getting on and it's encouraging to see, it really showed in the 2nd half as we'd have lost this game in past seasons. I like that Pardew doesn't seem to be asking too much of the players which allows them to relax and play their football without having too much expected of them (Guthrie, Raylor etc), admittedly wasn't very chuffed about him when he was appointed but he's really pushed on from the decent base Hughton built him and has us playing good football as well as turning us into a tough team to beat when things aren't going our way. Never thought I'd be so happy to see an international break mind with the team looking a bit tired from these 2 games and all the knocks that were picked up today. -
Aye he was good for us in the Championship, not a prem standard player now though lost too much pace. Hope he does leave now but I'd wish him luck in finding a new club.
-
Simpson was solid tonight, liked the towel trick. Also really liked the dive he took in our box to ease pressure ive noticed he's done this a fair bit to waste a bit of time / ease the pressure recently.

Cracking performance that by the whole team. Guthrie and Obertan impressed me and Ba was top class, totally controlled stoke away could we be the real deal?
