I've defended him, not saying 'he must go' or shite like that but tactically Pardew has been fucking dreadful this run of games. I've not read through the thread so if Ben Arfa is injured then fair enough but Pardew is seriously taking the piss persisting with Obertan, I was thinking what has to happen to get Ben Arfa in the starting line-up and I really feel that if Obertan was injured Sammy Ameobi would be played ahead of Ben Arfa. I thought Vuckic had a canny game but we looked lifeless, there was seriously nowt about us in this game Demba Ba was our only player, Colo had his worst game in 3 year and I thought some of Tiote's passing was horrific (iirc his very poor pass attempt to Obertan led to Brunt getting the ball and passing to Odemwinge for their 1st). I seriously don't understand why we played such a high line against perhaps the fastest striking partnership in the league has Pardew never watched West Brom before? Like I said before there was nowt about us tbh and aye we did miss Yohann but this is why Ben Arfa should have started over Obertan or Best. Watching replays of the freekick that led to Ba's 1st Obertan had passing opportunities but his head was completely down eyes on the ball, he was just running hoping to be fouled imo so he didn't have to do anything total shite player, there's no more 'give him time' he's had half a season now and he looks even more incompetent than when he 1st started playing. 1 point from Norwich, Swansea and West Brom is very poor, what's more worrying that's come from these games is Pardew's ineptitude with substitutions and sometimes dire tactics.

Really disappointed by this one, we should have comfortably beaten this Swansea side. Obertan needs dropped to the reserve teams bench he's seriously that bad. Santon looked composed and it really let Jonas attack most the game, Colo is class, Perch actually played decent I thought despite not having much to do. Ba is quality and Best played well alongside him I'd of really fancied us to win if Ben arfa had played over Obertan, even Sammy gives us options down the right. The only reason I doubt Ben Arfa had a knock is it wouldn't make sense to have him on the bench if he was unable to play.

Absolutely baffling why he didn't get on today we needed a spark something Ben Arfa can provide but we leave fucking Obertan on till the 80th minute then bring on two youth players, seriously not the time to play Sammy but especially Vuckic. Ben Arfa can play anywhere across midfield yet Pardew seems to have in his head he can only play one specific position that he rarely lines up with.

This. Aye he's not the best but he's better than R.Taylor imo if Jonas played on the right Simpson would look fairly solid. I'd prefer us to just keep him and pay him a little more than risk getting something worse.

Iirc Onouha wasn't great at the mackems, although Messi would struggle to perform with that shambles so I guess it doesn't say much. Because it's not easy, we've got prospects in our youth like Richardson and at CB Tavernier is supposedly good but we'd loaned him out and were unable to recall him. The fact they've not renewed Kadars contract sort of shows they no longer have faith in him, they no doubt thought he was good but we don't know any circumstances maybe his progress stalled or maybe he's lazy it could be anything. They are definitely looking it's just a difficult task.

Look man, they see Kadar every day in training the very fact that Simpson and Perch aren't really tall enough to play the CB position should tell you that they obviously don't like what they see with Kadar. Don't bother bringing up his International caps either it means nothing at all, players like David fucking Nugent have England caps. Aye he's 6' 2" but he's not a big lad, his 13 appearances in the Championship doesn't mean an awful lot either the fact is Hughton brought in Perch so he must not have rated Kadar and the other youth prospects too highly either.

Mali will get into the knockout stages tbh and iirc they'd draw a relatively easy side if they come runner up in their group, we'll have him back about a week and a half into February.

It was very poor to concede so many but in terms of the defence, not sure he could have done anything else other than start Kadar. Which doesnt make him a shit manager. Agreed, we were just a total shambles when it came to set pieces. If Colo and Taylor had started we'd have won that game IMO, there'd have been no chance Holt would have had 2 free headers around the 6 yard box if those two had started. I don't rate Perch one bit but people really need to calm down about Kadar he's no world beater himself and there must be a reason Pardew isn't even considering him.

He surely has to be dropped now, I know Pardew doesn't like the thought of Ben Arfa on the wing but he'd definitely offer a lot more than Obertan who contributes nigh on nothing every game. The pass he made to the touchline that was supposed to be to Gutierrez from about 8 yards away was criminal and I'd let him off for a mistake like every player has but it's more the norm than a mistake for this bloke. Sammy comes on as a late sub every game and causes the opposition headaches with his pace and willingness to make them put a good tackle in. I know we're thin with all the injuries but either Sammy or Ben Arfa would be a far better prospect on the right over Obertan.

Aye anytime I saw him he barely done anything, for £20m I'd want a midfielder that can control the midfield Henderson was/is nowhere near being capable of that and tbh doesn't look like he ever will be. £3m-5m tops for a player like that it's not hard to be the midfield stand out when your partner is Lee Cattermole ffs. Edit: still laughable he has an England cap too.
