This, he's a dickhead millionaire footballer there's loads of them. Good on him doing things for charity but people like Bono and Geldof do tonnes for charities and they're still a pair of throbbers. Some of the things he's supposedly done are funny, like the offering to treble a lads wages to sack in playing football and cut Bellamys grass when he was at Celtic, but some don't colour him in a favorable light to us at all, the supposed texts to Shearer after our 4-1 thumping off Man utd in the FA cup semi etc. He got away with being a dickhead when he was playing for us because he was class and was 'our dickhead' but now he's just another ex-player. Again I'm glad he's putting some of his undeserved fortune towards a better cause than amassing a huge collection of hats (Savage + Shola) but he's still a dickhead.

This He must be like Messi in training to get picked and then because hes grafted so hard all week on the training pitch and sucking off Ashley he is too exhausted to try on match day! Aye they always used to say 'he's a beast in training' I couldn't give a shite he's played enough games now that we know he's not going to put in any performances, looks like he's given up on football tbh. They use English commentators so it's fine.

A way that thumped Liverpool 3-1 the fucking ball bag. I can't stand anything to do with Liverpool FC or Dogleish now tbh, they're the biggest disgrace in world football at the moment yet the media seems to be turning a blind eye too it. Imagine if Clubs like us were acting the way they are now, we'd get torn to shreds in the media.

Whereas an extended cup run would be beneficial? Ummm... As opposed to extending the cup run more than what is already needed. You completely misinterpreted my point if that's what you got from it. My point is if we're going to have a shot at winning this and keeping a good position in the league we need to avoid having to play replays, it's not a complicated point it's common knowledge in fact.

First one last night, it's going to take some getting used to having this new lad as Spartacus but he did a canny enough job. Decent start to the series imo.

Agreed, they'll give all the effort a league one or two side will but they're also of a better quality. Hope we play a 1st choice 11 and not back-ups + youth.

Yeah well, I won't complain if we win like. Wasn't really what I was saying, I'm meaning anything less than a win and I'll be pretty gutted. A draw means another 90mins or more which is shit for our thin squad.

Agreed about Bellamy but tbh not many on here would have turned him down if he was going to play for Newcastle again, he's played well wherever he's went. It really does seem like they just watch highlights especially the Carroll, Henderson and Adam buys. -
I fucking hate Russell Howard every time I see him on anything I just think he's trying really really hard to be funny but he's just not at all, I've never once so much as cracked a smile at any 'jokes' that tosser's come out with. No idea how he got famous, him and that Jack Whitehall lad are a pair of complete jeb-ends.

£80m (ish) spent on Downing, Adam, Henderson and Carroll 4 player's that are at best midtable players (Downing probably a bit better than mid-table and Adam a bit worse than it imo) is shockingly bad, I'd not really given it all that much thought but it's worse than I thought it was. The man is a total mug seeing Spearing plod about in midfield is the icing on the cake. -

Gloom's post has a lot of great advice. There's no stupid questions tbh mate in answer to your questions I agree completely that white rice +pasta taste better but trust me you'll get used to the whole wheat versions, the reason to avoid the white varieties is they provide a big spike in insulin levels and your body likes to store it as fat. If you want to still eat some make sure it's only in the meal after a workout as this is when your body is extremely sensitive to insulin and the spike can help your body grow. At 5-10 9 stone and a "i can everything and not get fat" type you sound like an ectomorph, basically look to what Gloom wrote you need to eat ALOT to grow. Look for a bloke called Dr John Beradi he's a top nutritionist and his stuff is pretty much gospel especially for ecto's, think of what Gloom wrote as 3 square meals with 3 snacks I'd shoot for 6-8 meals a day (depending on how long you're awake). The cottage cheese Gloom mentioned as your last meal is to get some casein protein down which your body takes a long time to break down which provides constant protein throughout the night. it's tough going at first and you're basically shoving the food down (eat quickly and your body wont feel full) but it will get better. Since you're an ecto I'd shoot for 3,000 - 3,500 calories a day to start with and as you put on weight increase your intake, its nigh on doubling your basal metabolic rate but it'll shock your body. Try and get a good 4-5 liters of water daily as well (again it seems alot but if you put down a big glass with each of the meals you'll not be much off). Don't worry if you're not able to get that level of food down daily just shoot to be eating every 2-3 hours and eventually your stomach will increase in size making it easier. Like Gloom's mentioned stick to compound lifts, since you're not into the gym that much I'd start out 3 times a week with a Push/Pull and Legs split (so basically back and chest one workout then legs next workout and alternate between the two), after 4-6 weeks you may feel more into going to the gym and start enjoying it if so then start to increase to maybe 4 days then eventually 5 days a week and work in more assistance lifts with the compound movements (i.e dumbell flyes and tricep pull downs) .

Increase your intake of calories with low GI carbs (brown rice, whole grain pasta, sweet potatoes etc) and protein. Eat eggs for breakfast with some whole wheat toast or porridge. If you go to a gym carry on with a 4 or 5 day split, or if you're not at a gym start going 3 days a week with a days rest in between each workout and train the full body each time. Throw in a couple of HIIT session or a few 30-60 min walks each week to keep your cardio at a decent level. If you want to get really into it find a basal metabolic rate calculator online which will tell you the calories you should be consuming to maintain your weight then add around 500 calories onto that to start out with and see how you progress. If you want to be really basic about it just eat more (clean stuff like you say not too many big macs) and lift weights in the hypertrophic range (3-4 sets of 8-12 repetitions).

Aye I hadn't even contemplated it yet, I'd lost interest in the Carling cup since we got knocked out. I skimmed the thread and it gets good when they start talking about how Senegal have been knocked out 'which shows how shit the two 'dembas' are' think they're missing the fact Ba scored plenty on his own they really are deluded if they're going to start calling Ba shite. They should stick to what they're good at, discussing the subtle differences between blue and red panda pops and if orange or white cheddar is better on top of chips.
