  1. Colo telling Santon to close Kranjcar down there, imagine how utterly dreadful our defence would be without Colo there.
  2. Aye clearly handball that, wasn't deliberate but his hands were away from his body and it changed the direction, cheers ref.
  3. Central midfield just getting completely bypassed like we all feared...
  4. Williamson is so fucking bad is there not an under-12 lad we can call up in his place.
  5. Well Williamson and Simpson have been utterly fantastic for both goals, neither marking their man for the 2nd, Willaimson in no mans land when he should have been tighter on Saha and Simpson standing behind Saha when he should have been on Bale.
  6. Thanks for that Simpson stay in your fucking position next time you prick.
  7. Chuffed Man utd won, which is something I thought I'd never be saying, also chuffed Evra celebrated in front of rat man the ref can fuck off pushing him away people are so quick to defend Suarez and his feelings. Disgrace not shaking Evra's hand I wasn't sure if Evra would want to shake his but either way Suarez should have extended his, agree that there's no way the FA will ban him for that but they should as it's clear he's learnt absolutely nothing.
  8. Absolutely no doubt in my mind they skipped the metro into town but when they got off at Haymarket the inspectors were at the turnstiles at the top of the escalators so they sprinted past them where a speccy ripped the Reg Vardy sponsored mackem shirt off the one on the right in an attempt to grab him which is why he's sporting his vest, his 80's hairdo slowed him down too much. The fine they received on the way home meant they had to go without cheesy chips and panda pops for a week but the knowledge that their well scrawled abusive 'banner' will wind up 'the barcodes' was worth the week away from the pleasures of an Iceland feast and a month on the metro loser list. Personally I'm cut deeply that Brewcie is one of them and not a Geordie hero it upsets me to the same level as that 9-1 loss does. Seriously man they do things like this to get our backs up but I actually cried laughing looking at that, yet when we turn our attention to them we create 100 page joke books that they are so unbelievably devastated about they work on getting it banned because of the cover.
  9. They ALWAYS win 2-1 as well but if you ever talk about that 5-1 or the 4-1 you should get over it it was a season ago now. Also Julio Arca the best fullback in Sunderland's history ended Shearer's career which was the greatest thing to happen to Sunderland in years.

    The Falklands

Because they don't want to be Argentinian.
  11. Howay man don't mention the 9-1 it still really hurts. If we hadn't of lost our starting half back to Tuberculosis a week before it'd of all been different.
  12. Aye this will be the formation, the central midfield is the worry but it's not like we have many options.
  13. Enrique would start, Bassong at the moment with Taylor injured maybe. Barton on the bench/on the right and Carroll would make the bench over Shola.

    Demba Ba

He's got everyone googly eyed, howay Cabaye you're losing your men. It's interesting what he says about the differences in training regimes as well.
  15. Wouldn't stake my life on it, just all I've heard is that they were smoggies which does seem odd giving that he kicked a boro player but you know they're a bit funny down there with their 7 toes and 3 eyes.
  16. Aye that and he doesn't grasp that this thread was made when Pardew was first appointed so the title is hardly 'fickle', don't think we'll be seeing much of this mug for a few month after March 4th anyway.
  17. Aye we have pictures of our past greats on the walls and they have a goalkeeper celebrating in front of a gutted Shearer, they're not obsessed though. Still liked John Hall's story about the little picture he kept on his desk of a mackem sitting looking down in the rain at the SOL during one of out many wins there with an Aldi bag on his head as a retaliation.
  18. They were smoggies apparently, really confusing though especially the lad that kicked the boro player.
  19. They're going mental in the comments calling him classless, to be fair though it'd be like going to the house of someone that's stalking you. They're obsessed with Shearer even to the level where they have a huge blown up picture of a penalty miss of his adorning a wall inside that shithole ground of theirs, I bet he said 'no thanks' with a big grin across his face good on him.
  20. Agreed and it's really Cruz's 1st because he was badly injured last year incredible that in his 2nd year he's easily beating double coverage, JPP is a monster. Agreed about Amukamara I was expecting him and Patrick Peterson to both be gone in the top 10-15, obviously Peterson went quickly but Amukamara really slipped. Think we're going to see a lot of talented players going lower than they should in this draft too. Edit: Speaking of Cruz http://www.cbssports...475988/34773707 not really surprising tbh I'd probably give it a try after such a great year.
  21. Vastly overrated player but probably can be classed as an above average defensive midfielder, think he's still not up to the standard he played at pre- Bullard leg break.
  22. He's waiting for Barca or Real Madrid man because as we know it's nothing to a manager like him to win the CL and title multiple years in a row with teams like those.
  23. This along with alot of Tom's post is the crux of it tbh. The 'old guard' Terry, Ferdinand, Lampard, Gerrard etc need dropping their international careers are over they've had plenty of chances in tournaments and they're not suddenly going to win it now in their 30's (I know Italy 2006 but them players still give a fuck whereas this group stopped caring at 26). It's been a big difference between us and sides like Germany (I know they have better players) who when they started to slump they dropped their older lot and went straight to the youngsters allowing them to come through together which is what we should have done straight after the 2010 debacle, instead Capello played the youngsters in friendlies we've played better football but as soon as the important games come round it's back to the old shite and we're back to struggling for goals against USA and Algeria. Cahill, Richards, Smalling, Jones, Cleverley, Wilshere, Welbeck, Sturridge etc should all be more involved than they are currently (as well as players like Adam Johnson even though he can't get many games for Man City) in the same vein that Gotze, Muller, Kroos etc were blooded in quickly. These players will actually try for England (as shown against Spain). I think the point made earlier about Capello looking for a way out was a good one because speaking out in the way he did hasn't been his style over this tenure (or his previous ones) and it seems a bit odd he'd come out like he did when Terry quite obviously made the comments he stands accused of. Load of waffle really but Capello is a good manager but it didn't suit him or England, maybe cliche but we need an English manager either Redknapp or even Pearce would be my choices (I think Pearce would pick youth and he is very passionate about the national side) obviously the Team GB Olympic team is a slight problem for Pearce.
  24. Aye he's an excellent club football manager he just isn't great at international management (or pretty disinterested in it, refusing to learn the language etc plays into that), they're very different jobs.
