Newcastle United vs Dirty Inbred Mackems (Sunderland)

What's all this aboot Deaders -
The 4-5 minutes in the 1st half where Barry, Parker, Smalling and Cahill passed it between each other in the England half was actually painful only for Cahill to lump it forward and promptly see it headed back to him.

Having a canny game on it atm with Sheffield Wednesday, into the 4th season and it's my 2nd in the Prem after back to back promotions. Went with any free's and cheap players I could get to get me into the Premiership, best buy was Leigh Griffiths from Wolves for 150k led the Championship scoring chart and I finished 2nd behind Wolves. I've decided to make it a challenge and aimed to get an English squad (or as English as I can get it) and over 2 seasons in the prem have; Ben Amos, Kyle Naughton, Kyle Walker, Kieran Gibbs, Steve Caulker, Adam Johnson, Henri Lansbury, Danny Drinkwater, Jacob Mellis I've tried for Sturridge and Nathanial Chalobah numerous times but they've both no interest in joining and Wolves + Burnley beat me to Josh McEachran and Fabian Delph. Most the players cost about £2m a pop with Johnson being the most expensive at £4m. Colequin from Arsenal, Yaya Sanogo, Deryk Boyata and Carlos Fierro are the main non English players that are going to be hard to replace especially as Sanogo was pricey costing £6m from Man City's reserves. My biggest flaw with the game is the longer your game the easier it gets like Gibbs is a fantastic left back and they'd want a fair bit over £10m in the 1st season but by season 4 they were touting him for £3m, I just targeted the bigger clubs reservists and found players like Kyle Walker and Adam Johnson unhappy in their reserves. The other annoying bit about the game imo is how it overrates your manager, after winning League one and half a championship season I was being offered the Fulham job and now that I've finished 9th in the Premiership and won a league cup I have been offered Barca, Chelsea, Man utd, Man City, Arsenal etc bit over the top for a manager with 1 decent season of managing a Premiership team tbh, I reject them as it's a bit more of a challenge with Wednesday but I took the England job

I've got 11 and just get really frustrated at not being able to score, losing 2-1 or 1-0 after pummeling the oppositions goalie is a pain in the arse. Good game besides that mind and if I could get the scoring part down it'd be funner.
-
Isn't that Pieters the one we were linked with before we got Santon? he's getting a dry bumming here. Very dull 1st half Parker and Barry successfully killing any quick breaks we have by either holding the ball too long or pirouetting to find the furthest back defender.
-
Can't stand him, remember him during the world cup (think it was the 2006 WC) where he had a half Croatia, half England shirt what a bellend. U21's won 4-0 good match like Lansbury scored 2, looks a canny player.
-
Under 21's 2 up at half time, Caulker and Lansbury the scorers. Been a canny match so far very comfortable for England.

Hart Richards-Cahill-Smalling-Baines Gerrard-Parker-Barry Johnson-Welbeck-Young Glad he's went with the younger lads in most positions but he's bottled the central midfield, don't like Barry playing there at all.

Class, the bit where he points to a few 'famous' glory hunters to somehow prove he isn't one is gold. I've seen the 'Gateshead Reds' buses and it's cringeworthy there was a bloke that lived in my street when I was growing up and he was a member of the 'Gateshead reds', used to drive to Gateshead to meet them on a match day total cunt of a bloke and that Lee Stewart makes me think of him. "Keegan left Newcastle got boring so I became a Man Utd fan how does that make me a glory hunter?"
-
My worry for Redknapp being appointed is the serious threat of a possible Parker Captaincy (as he already is tonight) and persisting with players like Lampard when it's time to move on from them.

Speaking about these friendlies anyone know if Tiote is off to play against Peru? and I've seen it's been postponed to March 1st, not ideal having him fly to Peru and back ffs. Edit: Read it's in Paris, that would be better like. -
He's a total mug, I've seen him sat outside various nightclubs in Whitley Bay in his Range Rover complete knacker. He should concentrate on his football as all the 'potential' that he had is quickly fading and he's just turning into a poor player, hopefully some lower league club comes in for him and we can shift him.

It's on my Birthday in all so we best absolutely hump these tramps, recent form pretty much goes out the window just hope they bottle it like they normally do and give their players a miserable couple of minutes drive home from SJP to their Tyneside apartments. -
Class. It's the aggression that cracks me up as soon as you accuse them of glory hunting, "my dad's from Manchester/Liverpool/London". I watched the Mackems play Arsenal and the camera went to the away end and there stood a lanky streak of piss clutching at his 'Jarra Gooners' flag, look down on them more than Mackems tbh. Like you've said the best way to deal with them when they pipe up is to tell them they're opinions worth nowt. My mates brother is a Liverpool 'fan' despite my mate and the rest of their family being Newcastle fans, his bedroom man pictures of Gerrard, Liverpool wallpaper, Liverpool curtains oh dear he's 22 in all, had an argument with him that Carroll is twice the player David N'gog is and he was having none of it sure enough a month later when Carroll moved to Liverpool he was the greatest player in the world and had 11 goals in half a season despite him being injured since that argument when I reminded him of his thoughts a month earlier he went ballistic and denied ever saying that then whinged about how shit Newcastle are it kills him we're above Liverpool.

They should bring back the Intertoto cup.
-
Aye in my experiences with them the ones from the area despise Newcastle United then the ones from outside the area will kiss up to it any chance they get to get on your side like you say. There was a lad I went to school with who was a Man Utd 'fan' because his dad worked in Manchester for a few year throughout school he never shut up about how Newcastle were shit and how great Manchester were, I never took any offense as he was just a glory hunting bastard. He goes to America last year and pulls out the toon top fucking nobber wears it in every picture I've seen him in, now he's 'Toon through and through' but it's quite obvious to everyone that he's done it to make him seem interesting as an English Man Utd fan is nowt new to American's he deletes every message people put on his facebook relating to "what happened to the Man Utd fan?". Can't stand Glory hunters full stop like, the ones that clog up phone ins especially "next we have Mike from Croyden" "ello maayte aam goin' to tawwk abaaht wooney".
-
Too much Footie manager some people, Ferguson's track record with youth players will mean Man Ut'd proper fans will always back him, the ones that started following them aged 16 or something are another story.
-
This sums up this odious twat, abusing a 19-20 year old kid who's by all accounts a canny player because he's sticking up for his boss. The bit about "you're so loyal to Arsenal you fucked off to Wolves" makes no sense he was loaned out which Wenger does all the time with his younger players as a 'loyal' fan I'd expect him to know that. Frimpong's right Morgan is a total mug calling himself a loyal fan, what a rough club Arsenal must be to support if the 'bad times' are not winning a trophy for a few year but making the CL all of those years he's a die hard all right. I can't stand Morgan 'I've got 4 season tickets' what's that meant to prove? he never attends he's too busy wasting his time on his failing show in America. The man's an embarrassment he used to do a column in the back of one of the supplements that come in the mail on sunday which was comedy gold, basically him discussing how amazing his life is and how he met Tom Cruise this week and George Clooney the next but they were actually trying to avoid him and he even quoted them saying as much too him but rather than be insulted that they thought he was a horrible little man it spurred him on that these people knew him, completely vacuous human.

Newcastle United v Wolverhampton Wanderers
Howay replied to Christmas Tree 's topic in Newcastle Forum
Cabaye should start and probably will, is it fair to Guthrie as he has played well? maybe not but Cabaye is a better player. I'd start Guthrie on the right as Obertan doesn't merit selection anymore and Taylor is coming off injury. -
Fucking class that, all asking why we do it while they're all quite obviously in a frenzy over it. Edit: The post from one saying a lad asked if he drank Villa pop, cut him deep that.

So they finish above us for 3 years and that's it we're suddenly very similar in size. That thread proves what many of us know of the majority of their fanbase (not that it needs proving) how many threads are on that site relating to changing the name of our stadium and other things Ashley has done, yet I don't get 'outraged' by them taking the piss as I expect it as they should have when this happened daft bastards. They have some nerve having a go at the layout and look of this site btw with that lovely multicoloured headache of a betting site banner at the top of every page and the very thin post boxes. Overall Niall leaving is and should be a worrying sign for them, from previous posts on here it seems like he convinced Ellis Short to buy the club underneath the guise it was profitable and had a stadium that sold out every home game or at least it could have been those things which of course wasn't true. Wonder how long Short will stick around now.
