  1. Canny crowd now on that beach, Rice clearly loving it.
  2. How is this even a conversation, Colo is our best defender by a long way there's absolutely no way of twisting selling him and trying to replace him as a positive. The point that he's our best (or 2nd best) CB for over 20 years shows how hard it is to get in defenders, IF we sold Colo for £10m how do you think we'd get in two players of his level of quality and younger for cheaper? Ewerk's first point was that Colo is the difficult defender to buy, the ball playing one the Rio Ferdinand type then you just need to find the Vidic to go alongside him. Selling Colo means we'd need both a ball playing defender and a physical one. Edit: Fantastic news on both these two signing!
  3. "Maaaaa' ah telt yee theres nay cheeese on me chips and why you get wheeze a fuckin' red panda pop I only drink the blue wuns"
  4. Aaaaaaaaaaaand it starts they're all out the woodwork now, I can't wait to beat these dirty tramps so we don't have to hear their utter shite until 2 weeks before next seasons derby. Sunderland has more tradition, class and history than Newcastle where do these doylems get this shite. There really isn't much of an upside for them in with this fixture and they don't realise it a win simply equals out what we did earlier on to them in the season, a draw means we get 4 points off them and a loss is obviously restoring the natural balance of a Toon double over them. They'd need a repeat of the most glorious match in Mackem history the tremendous 9-1 thrashing of the dirty mags to overturn the 4-1 and 5-1 thumping's they've took very recently. The nerve of this mongbird man, acting like we're irrelevant to him if that's true why did you get on your 10 year old Raleigh bike complete with stabilizers and peddle your fat kite round to the community library to fire up the ms dos computer and spout 3 paragraphs about how much it doesn't matter.
  5. Quality interviews them like, cheers for posting them.
  6. They do have something we'll probably never have mind, the 2nd and 3rd worst points tally's in Premiership history and iirc the 2nd most relegated team in Prem history (behind Crystal Palace) with 3 relegations. Still love that 'whatever happens when I wake up in the morning and look in the mirror I'm a Geordie but when you look in the mirror you see a Mackem' or however it goes, devastates them every time.
  7. And as if we care whether he's a mackem surely it's worse for them to 'expose' that as he's their poster boy for 'fat Geordie bastards'. How will we ever recover from them digging this dirt up? The Towel thing is priceless in all, have they thought what a bunch of knackers they'd look if they do anything but win after that 'stunt' they'll look like Steve Bruce and his "wait till they hear the song I play when we beat them" classic. The stadium thing really is all they can try and go at us with now isn't it, after 3 years as "top dogs" it's slipping and they know it is. I try my best to just forget about these filthy doyles but the weeks surrounding derby days remind me, in fact it's only the weeks before hand the weeks following is them moping and not talking about football where your every mention of it is greeted with "you're still talking about that you sad mag cunt" Aye we beat you 5-1 last weekend and I'm still talking about it, when you going to drop the 9-1 shite that your grandad didn't even witness?
  8. Isn't Beefy a Mackem? I'm sure they always say something along them lines grew up a mackem but realised the error of his ways. They're fucking bamp's we could be playing in League one and they'd still bang on about us, deep down they know that when they're not in the same division as us we couldn't give a fuck about them. When we were in the Championship they looked up our results, they'd deny this but they know it's true.
  9. Shola Ameobi, is he still a youngster?
  10. The 4-5 minutes in the 1st half where Barry, Parker, Smalling and Cahill passed it between each other in the England half was actually painful only for Cahill to lump it forward and promptly see it headed back to him.
  11. Having a canny game on it atm with Sheffield Wednesday, into the 4th season and it's my 2nd in the Prem after back to back promotions. Went with any free's and cheap players I could get to get me into the Premiership, best buy was Leigh Griffiths from Wolves for 150k led the Championship scoring chart and I finished 2nd behind Wolves. I've decided to make it a challenge and aimed to get an English squad (or as English as I can get it) and over 2 seasons in the prem have; Ben Amos, Kyle Naughton, Kyle Walker, Kieran Gibbs, Steve Caulker, Adam Johnson, Henri Lansbury, Danny Drinkwater, Jacob Mellis I've tried for Sturridge and Nathanial Chalobah numerous times but they've both no interest in joining and Wolves + Burnley beat me to Josh McEachran and Fabian Delph. Most the players cost about £2m a pop with Johnson being the most expensive at £4m. Colequin from Arsenal, Yaya Sanogo, Deryk Boyata and Carlos Fierro are the main non English players that are going to be hard to replace especially as Sanogo was pricey costing £6m from Man City's reserves. My biggest flaw with the game is the longer your game the easier it gets like Gibbs is a fantastic left back and they'd want a fair bit over £10m in the 1st season but by season 4 they were touting him for £3m, I just targeted the bigger clubs reservists and found players like Kyle Walker and Adam Johnson unhappy in their reserves. The other annoying bit about the game imo is how it overrates your manager, after winning League one and half a championship season I was being offered the Fulham job and now that I've finished 9th in the Premiership and won a league cup I have been offered Barca, Chelsea, Man utd, Man City, Arsenal etc bit over the top for a manager with 1 decent season of managing a Premiership team tbh, I reject them as it's a bit more of a challenge with Wednesday but I took the England job

I've got 11 and just get really frustrated at not being able to score, losing 2-1 or 1-0 after pummeling the oppositions goalie is a pain in the arse. Good game besides that mind and if I could get the scoring part down it'd be funner.
  13. Isn't that Pieters the one we were linked with before we got Santon? he's getting a dry bumming here. Very dull 1st half Parker and Barry successfully killing any quick breaks we have by either holding the ball too long or pirouetting to find the furthest back defender.
  14. Can't stand him, remember him during the world cup (think it was the 2006 WC) where he had a half Croatia, half England shirt what a bellend. U21's won 4-0 good match like Lansbury scored 2, looks a canny player.
  15. Under 21's 2 up at half time, Caulker and Lansbury the scorers. Been a canny match so far very comfortable for England.
  16. Hart Richards-Cahill-Smalling-Baines Gerrard-Parker-Barry Johnson-Welbeck-Young Glad he's went with the younger lads in most positions but he's bottled the central midfield, don't like Barry playing there at all.
  17. Class, the bit where he points to a few 'famous' glory hunters to somehow prove he isn't one is gold. I've seen the 'Gateshead Reds' buses and it's cringeworthy there was a bloke that lived in my street when I was growing up and he was a member of the 'Gateshead reds', used to drive to Gateshead to meet them on a match day total cunt of a bloke and that Lee Stewart makes me think of him. "Keegan left Newcastle got boring so I became a Man Utd fan how does that make me a glory hunter?"
  18. My worry for Redknapp being appointed is the serious threat of a possible Parker Captaincy (as he already is tonight) and persisting with players like Lampard when it's time to move on from them.
  19. Speaking about these friendlies anyone know if Tiote is off to play against Peru? and I've seen it's been postponed to March 1st, not ideal having him fly to Peru and back ffs. Edit: Read it's in Paris, that would be better like.
