  1. Hit last night, the damage round where I am is just from trees falling and power lines coming down. The shore line and New York City are really bad, some of the smaller islands were completely underwater. We still have power where I am but most the town I'm in is without power. The boardwalks of some of the coastal towns are completely gone, a lot of piers have collapsed. I saw a picture somewhere of Seaside Heights where a roller coaster has fell into the Ocean. We're lucky round me tbh, it's been a coastal storm mainly. They're saying the difference between this and Irene is that Irene was a tropical storm when it hit NJ are whereas this was a category 1 hurricane.
  2. I'm in Northern New Jersey Bobby, moved over here about 11 month ago now.
  3. It's areet where I am, millions without power. Can't get anywhere mind due to downed power lines and trees. Luckily I'm more in land, the shore areas are pretty terrifying some parts completely underwater. There were 50 houses burned down in Queens in all sadly think the death toll will keep rising when the services properly get into some of the worst hit areas.
  4. Agreed tbh, we were poor and they were also poor. They controlled the ball 2nd half but they were still unimpressive. Not having a go at them mind just thought the game was very poor and neither side played well, a draw would have been a fair reflection but we got a fortunate goal we've also lost points in similar fashion so there's no sympathy from me tbh. Agree on the last point too btw, not many keepers would have pulled both those saves off especially the 2nd.
  5. The result was all thanks to the magic of the Ameobi brothers, Shola's flick on which led to the 1st and Sammy's skillful pass allowing Cisse to guide it goalwards.
  6. 1. What have you made of your start to the season so far? Poor, we failed to capitalise on last years great form and bring in the defensive cover we needed and it's cost us this year. We've also played poorly with underperforming players in the majority of our games. At least we're not losing mind. 2. What are your opinions our our start to the season so far? Very good start, you have a very capable side which seems to be especially good on the break. Could be 'new manager syndrome' or just a purple patch but who cares? you're doing well. 3. We've recently seen Alan Pardew given a new eight year contract, what are your reactions to this? Happy enough I guess as he's locked down if we do carry on improving but as others have mentioned Ashley will have put in all sorts of clauses so he can drop him if we start underperforming. 4. Mike Ashley always seemed an unpopular figure around your parts, what are your opinions on him? Horrible (Even though he's lost weight) fat bastard. He's turned us around financially and for that he does deserve credit, lots of it, but he's also fucked around and made a lot of decisions that, at times, seem only to piss the fans off in order to generate exposure for his brands. Still we could have the Venky's... 5. What are your opinions on WBA as a football club alongside its supporters? Good club, no complaints with any of your lot I've met and you all stick with your club good and bad. Can't say the same about your neighbours Villa mind, total bunch of fucking tramps. 6. Which players in your side should we look out for, and which players in our side do you fear? Obvious one is Ben Arfa, the lad can do whatever he wants if he's in the mood and there's literally nowt the opposition can do to prevent that. Ba is very prolific, Cabaye has a fantastic range of passing plus wont be put off by being roughed up like some players can and Santon is really growing into a top player. Of your lot I'd say Long, he's quick and looks a tidy finisher, Mulumbu is a bit of a beast, McAuley seems to be creating a bit of bother for sides and Odemwingie I know he doesn't play every game but his past record against us is good. 7. What are you expecting for the remainder of the season? Hopefully an improvement in our performances and with some strengthening in January I think we'll be comfortably top half. 8. What are you expecting from WBA for the remainder of the season? Do we have a chance of Europe? Honestly no idea, you could do what dick heads like Mark Lawrenson expect and crumble or you could make the Europa like we did. I'm not going to give it the old 'it's only temporary' as it pissed me off when it was said about our form last year, you're performing at the minute and that's what matters there's no reason your lot can't make it, a 8-12th finish at worst. 9. What side is Alan Pardew most likely to put out? Krul-Simpson-Colocinni-Taylor-Santon-Jonas-Cabaye-Bigirimana (probably Perch though)-Ba-Cisse-Ben Arfa 10. And finally, score predictions. If we turn up I can see us winning 2-1, without Colocinni in the side I'd fear another rout from Williamson + Taylor being hopeless against quick counters.
  7. Fucking hell, saw a post where one said "I'd celebrate if he died tomorrow, not going to lie." Gene's fear of one of our lot being murdered by these classy scumbags may not be too far off the mark if these feelings are true. Think stuff like this should be held up to them when they claim we're obsessed with them, they're relevant to me the 2 weeks surrounding the derbies and that's it whereas they're wishing death on our players and saying they'll celebrate if it happens.
  8. Maybe since our home kit is predominantly white this year they think it is too similar to the tramps kits.
  9. I see they're saying Ben Arfa was in Rose's back pocket all game, did they miss his part in the goal
  10. Aye I was gutted he took Ben Arfa off, maybe Pardew was nervous the animals would lunge in like normal when it's getting late in the game. Colo was the biggest loss mind, I know he was cramping but he looked pretty disappointed with the substitution himself.
  11. I thought the ref ruined that game tbh, give free kicks for very petty small incidents, yet barely gave a free kick against the countless fouls on Ba. If the Tiote incident was a red card then Larsson should have been off for kicking Shola in the chest, it was a yellow for a late tackle but nowt more. Cuellar should have been booked for going through the back of Ba, Gardener should have been booked for taking Santon out after Santon skinned him and Larsson's kick was a clear booking. We were the dominant team but the sending off obviously changed us and we sat so deep that you felt they'd score, what I didn't expect was how pathetically bad they are as an attacking force. If Fletcher hadn't of wailed and rolled 20 times after Tiote kicked him I'd of not noticed him playing, that McClean is utter shite and Johnson spent the game in Santon's pocket. Sessegnon was also non-existant, is this what he's been like this season? because he was decent last year. I think it'd of been a comfortable 2-0 if we'd kept all 11 on but a draw away from home with 10 men to a mid/lower half team is ok.
  12. Choose being second best. Choose no job. Choose special brew. Choose your sister. Choose a council flat, Choose Eric Gates, Sewpa Kev and Quinny over Alan Shearer. Choose obesity, high cholesterol and nee teeth. Choose Smearing shit on the walls. Choose smashing up metros. Choose Uncal Mick. Choose sweat pants bottoms as formal attire. Choose a television on hire from Bright house. Choose a shit Saturday night out and wondering who the fuck you are on a Sunday morning. Choose sitting on the couch watching the mags play in yurop, stuffing fucking cheesy chips into your mouth. Choose cheese on your chips, with blue pop to wash it down, then a night on the special brew. Choose a Smoggy thug over a French International. Choose life in Sunderland . . . But why would I want to do that? I chose not to be a Mackem: I chose something else. And the reasons? Too many to mention. Who needs reasons when you get to be a Geordie?
  13. Why the fuck would you ever be proud of being from Sunderland? Imagine wherever you go most people assuming you're from Sunderland, that must make you feel like your 'city' is so irrelevant. People from outside the north east who have no interest in footy don't know what a mackem is but they sure as hell know where a Geordie is from. Irrelevant horrible shit hoying pigs, Sunderland is down in history as being the epicentre of the cholera out break, that's their history fucking bamps.
  14. Wow, just listened to that. It's frightening that the bloke is that stupid. A highlight was where he started saying that Standard Chartered do the same thing Wonga do and the bloke went "do they? tell me what they do?" "well I don't need to tell you what they do we're talking about Newcastle not Liverpool" he brought the argument up .

Cheers, I was chuffed when I got Forlan as I'd completely forgotten he plays in Brazil now. I don't mind playing the computer tbh, on the higher settings anyway but do you get more coins playing online?

Ah reet so it's mostly off the trading. So the best option is to just save and get the premium packs and hope my luck turns round? . I've had some utter shocking packs while my mates been getting Oxlade-Chamberlain and that. Do the players from the team of the week come in the premium gold packs? or is that another thing entirely. http://www.ea.com/soccer/fifa-ultimate-team/show-off#bArZyTTvnHGOe:ps3 That's my best team at the minute, so as you can see it's mainly mid 70 players Dzeko's the best player I've had in a pack and I sold him on for 3,500 but since him I've been getting Koln players and Brazillians who play in the Brazillian leagues. I've noticed the position change cards are going for fortunes in all is that common or just because the games new.

I'm just playing this UT for the first time, I'm doing areet building a toon side but how do people get the coins to afford the really good players? Do you just play tonnes of games or have you just been getting lucky in packs? I just keep getting useless crap in packs like 'rare' Forlan who no one wanted and players in the 75-78 range no 80+'s.
  18. Yaya Toure is the best and most impactful player in the league at the minute imo. I like watching Hazard play the same way I like watching Ben Arfa, blokes like that can do stuff while on the ball other players can only dream of. As much of a total Cath word he is I think Ashley Cole is utter class. I also rate Valencia highly he's very powerful on the ball and has a good end product.
  19. We'd have to retire the 23 shirt if he banged in 3 against them. It's the 2 games a season he should start tbh, he fucking hates them. A sherla pen in the 94th minute to win it would be utter class.
  20. I'd of sued that Chang bloke, it was definately at least harrassment from him. Taking money out of his charitable donations fund to hire private investigators if that's true Chang would of been better off leaving that bit out as it makes him look shockingly bad.
  21. I cannot read it without picturing Chang as the Chang bloke off the film the hangover. If it's true makes Liverpool more of a joke than I thought they were.
  22. Tickets for this lads testimonial will be like gold dust. Especially after he nets a hat-trick the next time we play the mackems.
