I think it's like J69 has mentioned a lot of it is down to the deep position he's been given. He plays further up the field for France and that's his best position, I'm also worried that he's getting sulky and wants off mind rumours of bids coming from Man utd for him and he was given captaincy when Jonas was vice captain smacks of an attempt to placate him. I understand he's a better choice for captain than Jonas probably is but it just seems odd that he leapfrogged the vice captain.

Krul out for the season with a dislocated shoulder, shite.
-
Pretty similar myself, I don't think he deserves all the blame today as the players definitely have to take some flak themselves. I'm just getting tired of never looking like a good side given the players we have. We've barely put in a good 90 minute performance all season (Can't really think of many at the moment anyway), it's like someone mentioned before we've never been good going forward under Pardew and this season it's really shown. We basically rely on Sissoko or HBA to pull off some magic or Cisse to score a ridiculous finish. He was outdone by Paolo Di Canio today, at home, with better players it's embarrasing. Again he's not solely to blame like I say I think if our goal had stood we could have went on to win it as the momentum was in our favour and heads definitely dropped after that and the Krul injury, which in itself is odd given that in recent weeks we've not been giving up on games. I struggle to remember a Newcastle team look so uninterested in a derby match tbh. Another thing with Pardew is at times he seems to play into peoples hands, starting Marvaeux a player who everyone knows struggles with teams that close down quick against a team we all knew would close us down all day was odd. We can argue all day about how he's been left out to dry after we didn't re-invest much in the summer but regardless we had better players in every position than they did today, we were at home and we got humiliated. Like I've said I've defended the bloke for a long time but I'm growing tired of it.
-
Aye it was clear as day exactly what he was doing, if we'd closed them like they closed us it wouldn't have been a problem.
-
Agreed, he epitomized our lot today in that instance. A pathetic pass attempt and then jogging back rather than busting a gut to get back, then half thinking about bringing him down before bottling it.
-
Probably the truest thing you've ever typed. Our lot showed no heart, after a week of hearing about how up for this all the players were we looked like we were playing a friendly. Has anyone heard anything about Krul yet? I'm fearing a fracture of a break, it didn't look good the way he was holding it when he went off.
-
Spot on, Pardew was hardly to blame for Jonas' embarrassing pass attempt that led to their first, or the linesman calling a perfectly onside goal offside and an offside one onside. We've been fucked over, combination of shite play and shite officiating. Shite performance all around, Pardew included but he doesn't shoulder 100% of the blame. Now we'll never hear the end of this for the next 20 year.
-
Because them two never put in any dirty challenges, pair of fucking jokers. Like you say Gouffran went to turn him and Johnson stuck his foot there, he was up quick enough to take the kick himself anyway. Regardless Rose went in two footed that's worse.
-
Webb can fuck right off mind, Rose gets booked for a two footer and Taylor gets booked for going for a 50/50 he's perfectly entitled to. They're a right bunch of diving pricks in all.

Honestly it's mental just how true the cycle is.

The Road To Amsterdam ArenA (UEFA Europa League 2013) - THE END

Good performance by the lads, and good tactics by Pardew trying to overcome a superior side from a losing position. We come close in all, agree we lost the game in Portugal. Very impressed with how we performed against a side of that level tbh, hope we show our quality on sunday -
Benfica are on another planet altogether ability wise compared to the shite the mackems call footballers.
-
Aye he's got great spirit, even when it's not working out for him he never shys away. Agree with J69 that because of the way he plays he's going to be offside a lot but he'll create a lot of 1 on 1's because of this. Glad he's finding form.
-
To be fair Pardew seems a canny passionate manager, his reaction to the winner against Fulham showed that. Without their spoilers like Gardener and Cattermole to drag the game down to a kicking match I think they'll struggle massively with us.
-
The only chance I see them scoring from is either a free kick around the box from Larson, or a pen. They're a woeful team going forward, the delusion from them never surprises me I remember after the 5-1 they were saying they'd win the next one 6-0 "because the mags won 5-1" not really sound logic.
-
Good performance, when they set out to park the bus in the 2nd half I thought we were heading for a 0-0 as we've found it tough to break down teams intent to spoil this season. We crafted a lot of decent opportunities against 2 good centre backs, hopefully Debuchy is back for next match mind because Simpsons crossing is pretty shoddy tbh.

4-2-4 against us and Chelsea would be brilliant.

Nervy as fuck now, these are a good side regardless of Pardews dig, hope that means he underestimates them a little and goes to attack them rather than a repeat of the 'defensive' tactics we showed against citeh. -
I thought he'd stated his belief multiple times, not just in one interview. The my two mates are black defense is quality by the way . As for the salute, didn't he do it on multiple occasions at Lazio? I thought he got a few bans and fines for doing it, could have been another player like, as someone else mentioned he knows what the gesture means and tbh I think he intended to use it in that way not just as a 'roman salute'. Like NJS said in all, even if you take the salute out he's still went out of his way to say that Mussolini was misunderstood, but now he wants to sweep it all under the carpet. Regardless of the idiots politics it's a shite appointment anyway.
-
Aye there's a lot on there saying just because he's a fascist doesn't mean he's racist.... except he is . They've made a lot of horrific appointments but this could be their worst, like many have said screaming and jumping about wont galvanize a bunch of millionaires half of which will probably jump ship the second they're down. He's a very dis likable bloke, I really don't see how this will result in anything else but relegation. It'd be tough for a good manager to take over them and keep them up let alone this cockend.
-
Found this on BBC comments: "I don't think any New Labour MP has any right to criticise others for fascism, considering they spent over a decade playing the race card against anyone who found fault in their immigration policies and increased surveillance to levels that wouldn't seem out of place in North Korea. Di Canio at least flat-out says he's fascist, he doesn't try to dress it up, plus he was a good footballer." So it's fine if he's a fascist as long as he doesn't try and hide the fact he is, the "plus he was a good footballer" bit tops it off.
-
They've not had a manager in that time with a positive goal difference either. Mick McCarthy's record man!
-
Aye, as terrible as O'neill is offensively he made Sunderland a pretty tough team to break down, can't see Di Canio doing that and with the impotent attack they have if they concede they have no chance of winning.
-
Di Canio I thought it was a joke at first but this could really happen! I'd worry he could get a reaction from the players but I really think they are that god awful and have a tough run in. Absolutely horrible cath word of a bloke in all suits them down to the ground. I also don't get this obsession with Sunderland fans on everybody having to be nails, because Di Canio is a facist nutjob that suddenly makes him a hard man? and why does it matter anyway what's he going to do smack Pardew on the touch line I'm sure that'd go down well. This must be a bit of a gutter for them mind, especially the ones naming Bielsa and Klopp as the quality of manager they should be aiming for .
