  1. Good performance, when they set out to park the bus in the 2nd half I thought we were heading for a 0-0 as we've found it tough to break down teams intent to spoil this season. We crafted a lot of decent opportunities against 2 good centre backs, hopefully Debuchy is back for next match mind because Simpsons crossing is pretty shoddy tbh.
  2. 4-2-4 against us and Chelsea would be brilliant.
  3. Nervy as fuck now, these are a good side regardless of Pardews dig, hope that means he underestimates them a little and goes to attack them rather than a repeat of the 'defensive' tactics we showed against citeh.
  4. I thought he'd stated his belief multiple times, not just in one interview. The my two mates are black defense is quality by the way . As for the salute, didn't he do it on multiple occasions at Lazio? I thought he got a few bans and fines for doing it, could have been another player like, as someone else mentioned he knows what the gesture means and tbh I think he intended to use it in that way not just as a 'roman salute'. Like NJS said in all, even if you take the salute out he's still went out of his way to say that Mussolini was misunderstood, but now he wants to sweep it all under the carpet. Regardless of the idiots politics it's a shite appointment anyway.
  5. Aye there's a lot on there saying just because he's a fascist doesn't mean he's racist.... except he is . They've made a lot of horrific appointments but this could be their worst, like many have said screaming and jumping about wont galvanize a bunch of millionaires half of which will probably jump ship the second they're down. He's a very dis likable bloke, I really don't see how this will result in anything else but relegation. It'd be tough for a good manager to take over them and keep them up let alone this cockend.
  6. Found this on BBC comments: "I don't think any New Labour MP has any right to criticise others for fascism, considering they spent over a decade playing the race card against anyone who found fault in their immigration policies and increased surveillance to levels that wouldn't seem out of place in North Korea. Di Canio at least flat-out says he's fascist, he doesn't try to dress it up, plus he was a good footballer." So it's fine if he's a fascist as long as he doesn't try and hide the fact he is, the "plus he was a good footballer" bit tops it off.
  7. They've not had a manager in that time with a positive goal difference either. Mick McCarthy's record man!
  8. Aye, as terrible as O'neill is offensively he made Sunderland a pretty tough team to break down, can't see Di Canio doing that and with the impotent attack they have if they concede they have no chance of winning.
  9. Di Canio I thought it was a joke at first but this could really happen! I'd worry he could get a reaction from the players but I really think they are that god awful and have a tough run in. Absolutely horrible cath word of a bloke in all suits them down to the ground. I also don't get this obsession with Sunderland fans on everybody having to be nails, because Di Canio is a facist nutjob that suddenly makes him a hard man? and why does it matter anyway what's he going to do smack Pardew on the touch line I'm sure that'd go down well. This must be a bit of a gutter for them mind, especially the ones naming Bielsa and Klopp as the quality of manager they should be aiming for .
  10. Aye seems the way under Hodgson, get in the lead and focus on keeping the shape more than anything else. Really thought we had them in the first half, would have rather seen Defoe start over Welbeck in all mind as Welbeck's hardly been on fire this season. Think Baines deserved a start over Cole and I'm sick of James Milner tbh.
  11. Imagine if the England players showed that level of passion and enthusiasm. Montenegro really kicked on in the 2nd half but England should have had the quality to see that one out, we went from short passing in the 1st to mainly long ball in the second which was disappointing. Whenever we did get possession the players kept trying killer balls rather than easing our way back into the game and holding the ball for a bit, unfortunately England didn't bother responding to Montenegro's upped tempo until they equalized. Ah well.
  12. Scummy act committed by a bunch of scumbags. Are Wigan fans /the club willing to say a similar thing about Mcmanaman?
  13. Staggering. Utterly staggering news, it's as if they try to be wrong. How did the linesman see the contact but not the full extent of it? The bloke went in above the knee that's a straight red in any interpretation of the rules. Did he turn away just as the contact happen? Useless twats. Charging carver in all that has to be them making a joke of all this, a bloke nigh on cripples another and the guy that yells at him for doing that gets the ban
  14. Absolutely nightmarish officiating in that game. Fuck Wigan btw hope the dirty pricks go down.
  15. Fucking hell, the commentator is kicking off about that kick from Perch, while saying McManaman just "caught" Haidara.
  16. Aye, if Halsey missed it because Gouffran was in the way like you said before that linesman wants shot with shit, he couldn't have been further than 25-30 yards away and surely would have seen Mcmanaman was coming in at a ridiculous height. Depressing decision tbh and I don't blame Carver for kicking off at all.
  17. I really don't understand how Halsey gave nothing for that. All 4 of the officials missed it completely? How many times does a player get stretchered off as a result of a challenge and its not a free kick at the least? Can't be many. Horrific ref hopefully he sees the replay at half time and is harsh to Wigan 2nd half. Doubt that mind.
  18. Aye he'll be off for looking at mcmanaman funny.
  19. Exactly, an above the knee lunge, it'd of been a red if it was 5-6" below that let alone it being the height it was ffs.
  20. I cant get over the commentator, on watching the replay he says , "he caught him a bit there, but he was going for the ball" in a relaxed voice, it's a clear red any day of the week he flew in at above knee height ffs absolutely horrific challenge. Halsey missed it is no shocker the useless prick.
  21. Sometimes I forget how much they hate us in all, couldn't be more irrelevant. Hope he scores on his debut, the bunch of sacks. Tbh I hope the loan does him good, chuffed we made this move and hopefully we'll make a few more like it.
  22. Salt of the Earth round there man! My Dad's side are all from Benwell, Scotswood road and Elsick, My mam was the posh one of the family as she's from West Denton. One of his work vans was nicked and we found it somewhere in Benwell with half the kids from around there jumping on it The tools and ladders no where to be found obviously.
