And Norwich have went and got Leroy Fer, another player I'd of had at Newcastle. The Cisse move is a nightmare, whatever your stance is on the topic he's our only option at the moment.

The Thinking Man's Game: Stats, Metrics, and Modern Football Thought
Howay replied to JonTheMag's topic in Newcastle Forum
Thinking about how Robbie Savage and Garth Crooks are paid good wages to do what they do winds me up more than thinking about footballers exorbitant wage. -
Aye Remy and Sinclair coming in with Bent as cover would be fantastic.
-
The City game being moved benefits me as I'd of been on a plane for what I heard was the original date for it. Still wish it hadn't of moved for the lads wanting to go tbh, it's not on all the pissing around of fixtures (I get it gives the club money but still...).

They got knocked out in pens. Adnan scored his penna mind.
-
Watching the Iraq u-20's play Uruguay U-20's. This lad called Adnan just turned Varela (however you spell it Man utd's recent buy) inside out he's scored against England and in this game, get him here Carr!

Hardest bit about cooking the pancake that bit.
-
I thought he just really loved pancake day.
-
Aye exactly. We finally have a little bit of depth at Centre back, I don't understand why we can't afford to just get Remy without giving them a player.
-
Aye I'd rather Remy (as long as he's not actually a Rapist of course). Bent is a good goal getter like and I've always rated him but like Jon said the contract length he might demand would be the sticking point for me, late 20's/early 30's is often seen as a strikers best age so long as the strikers main attribute isn't pace mind. I'm surprised Lambert is pushing the bloke out as hard as he is especially with Benteke agitating to get away, is there any news stories of Bent being a bellend? he always come across as an ok bloke to me. The thing with the Remy deal is if it's true about that whole Taylor swap deal I'd sack that one off.
-
"Mr Ayers was gunned down as he walked from his car to his mother-in-law’s home. It is understood that weeks earlier, he and Taylor, who were involved in rival Sunday league football teams, had a falling out that led to shots being fired across a pitch and a samurai sword attack in a changing room." What the fuck? That Pancake bloke seems to be running about Liverpool shooting and stabbing people, hoying it up Steeeeevie Geeee's missus and generally doing what he wants. Do the police bother there?
-
This, I thought Remy had a £7m ish release clause. Mental if we'd even consider giving them money plus Taylor for him.
-
Thought it would take him a bit longer to hit rock bottom like. So this is probably why we released him? as it happened in January and he got the chuck in March. Glad we're rid of the lanky tramp.
-
Aye the more speed in the squad the better tbh, and Sinclair is rapid. A big reason that Robson side was so good was down to the speed with had with Dyer, Bellamy etc. We could have a pretty rapid counter attack with Sinclair, Sissoko, Ben Arfa.
-
This, he had a good solid first season in the premiership with Swansea. Him and Rodwell both made the wrong choice last summer. I'd definitely take Sinclair here, he's still young too.
-
Great to see him win it, played brilliantly. Chuffed to bits for the bloke shouldered all that pressure for years. Quality.
-
This, I've read he has a £7m release clause if that's true it's mental we're in for Kone and not in for this lad.
-
The more you think about it the more unbelievable it is, "ah weww aaahve alweadee booked it innaaye" he's not worked since 2008. Surely the first thing you would do is either reschedule or cancel the holiday, he's "needed" at the club the most during windows surely he can bugger off in between. Unless of course he's left Carr, Pardew etc to carry on trying to recruit players while he's away and if that's the case I hope he stays on holiday.

Shane Ferguson tearing apart international opposition
Howay replied to Christmas Tree 's topic in Newcastle Forum
I'd far rather see Santon play Left wing for us. -
Seems that way, Perch said he understood the new policy, Pardew tried to offer him a new deal so he tried.
-
See Norwich have signed Redmond, around £3m is the rumored fee. Surely the sort of player we're supposed to be interested in, young and somewhat low fee with a big possible upside. Could have offered Shane Ferguson as part exchange as Birmingham like him.
-
Thought it was a high point for him tbh, he was probably closer to having a point than he normally is to be fair.
-
That was quick, que end of transfer window "well we tried for Kone". We should try for that Charlie Austin lad for £5m anyway, young and has a good record over 2 year in the championship.
-
Kone is canny like, he'll pick Everton anyway but if we were to get him I'd hope we'd bring in another striker. As J69 just said though if he comes in that'll be it for us on the striker front.
