Aye the channel I was watching had what I think was a mackem commentating (didn't catch the name) but he was pretty pro-Newcastle which made a nice change. They still went acka when Liverpool equalised like Chez said mind, but he did make "would have been booked if he hadn't already" about Gerrard (as well as making it about 2 toon players). I'd really like to see Dummett start against the mackems, he's impressed against Jesus Navas and the amazingly amazing "new SAS" strikeforce that 52,000 paid money to see today. Like many I'm really sick of the fawning over them 2 mind, at one point the commentator said "Suarez's touch is just a joy to watch, people come here just to see it, Uh and there it was again" as he received a 2 yard pass and passed it back to the same guy .

Really pleased with our performance there, we were the better side 11 v 11. Sadly the long ball over the top undone us again when Yanga got sent off. Play like that next week and we'll be comfortable, I'd like to see Dummett start in all thought he put in a good performance. Good to see Tiote playing well again.

Good read that Stevie. I completely agree with all of it. Another thing I'm fed up of is the media over hyping opponents, it leads into what someone else said about the press almost working against the side. I don't think we're a great international side, far from it, but we're still a pretty strong side compared to most and I'm tired of being told how tough teams like Montenegro, Croatia etc are; I fully understand we shouldn't underestimate anyone but they almost built it up to such a high level that you'd think England faced a monumental task beating Poland and Montenegro at home to qualify, when in all reality we should have felt confident. How many players from either of those sides would get into the England team? not many. I just want to see more pride from the press in the national team, their negativity feeds into the fans and I'm sure the players. Like Gloom said we're good enough to give anyone a game on a given day, I'm just really fed up of the negativity and hearing some of my mates say "why watch them they're fucking shite, we'll barely get out the group and get knocked out after it like usual" but sure enough come the world cup they're watching every game until it goes pearshaped and the "I told you they were shite" comes out. I can't remember tbh but I don't remember Holland being seen as finalists for the 2010 world cup, there's no reason that cant be England. Again I'm not saying we're amazing or I think we'll have a great world cup but for a change it would be nice if the country would be proud of the side and let the players know that rather than sending them out with the feeling that if they win it's "well of course they fucking should of" and if they lose it's "told you they were shite man".

Just started watching this, 2 episodes in and I'm enjoying it. The wife suggested it as since 30 rock ended we don't have any shows to watch together, as I'm not going to watch pretty little liars and she wont watch Hell on Wheels (she assumed it was 'another motorbike show like sons of anarchy' based solely on the name and says breaking bad is too depressing). Some of the jumps Claire Danes makes at times are a little painful but so far it's enjoyable enough.

Aye not the most pleasant sounding thing. Being Hung, Drawn and quartered wouldn't be the most pleasant of experiences either.

Love FM but my laptop is utterly shambolic at running it, unless I play with 1 or 2 leagues. I'll probably still end up getting it mind, had a great game on 2013 where I started at Swansea and then went on to build a predominantly British side with Liverpool but it took forever to do a season on it even on the quickest settings, no 3d matches or anything. Can't afford to buy a new laptop so might just have to put up with a slow game I always say I wont get this and Fifa but always end up getting them.

Seen Gravity tonight and really enjoyed it, very intense throughout. Definitely see it in 3D if you fancy it, it was incredible.

Aye very bizarre, all those hoardings have been used in the past. Even a small amount from local business is better. The cup bit is sickening, I don't understand how a businessman as successful as him can't see the connection between success on the pitch and higher commercial success. It's getting harder and harder to stick with it tbh, we've been a lot worse on the pitch but the complete lack of ambition and the admittance that they're not arsed is fucking sickening. They can piss off with the inflated prices line in all, why not bring in lukaku on loan. Good tidy result happy with that. Good to see Cisse back on a scoresheet and Gouffran is class, Barney's point is exactly how I feel about Gouffran tbh. Have to say though Obertan is fucking useless missed that sitter after Gouffran's excellent set up, runs with his head down so he had no idea there was a man in a far better position when he was going for goal (although 2-0 up I can't really blame him for having a go, it's just annoying to think if we were a goal down he probably would have done the exact same thing as he wouldn't notice the other player), even when Sammy made a poor pass to him that was slightly behind him he slipped over of course he slipped over. Gouffran is what Obertan should be tbh, I don't know whether it's lack of skill/coordination/intelligence or a combination that make him rubbish. Truthfully I'm not angry at him more just frustrated as he can be a player we've seen it in (very brief) moments.

Think they targeted Debuchy today and he had a poor afternoon, we need to sort the marking out big style as although Debuchy let them get a cross in for the 3rd they had 2 men in the box to our 3 and neither were picked up, Santon was a good 8 yards off the lad that scored. The marking on their 1st goal was embarrasing. Very disappointing result, we have so many good players yet seemingly if Ben Arfa isn't on top form we decide to lump it.
