  1. I don't think the question of whether to drop him or not is mental, the inconsistency of his performances is worrying going into a game like this. But like Stevie mentioned I don't think he done any less than what Cisse has been doing, I'd keep him in the same role he was in as he was up against 3 good centre backs on Saturday whereas he'll be up against two cloggers come Sunday. I'd start with the same formation and players against the mackems, as that way we keep Ben Arfa on but still have Gouffran and Remy grafting on the wings.
  2. Aye, I'm hoping Bardsley starts for them as I'm sure anyone of Ben Arfa, Remy or Gouffran would torture him (whichever way we line up).
  3. My mistake Tom getting myself mixed up with that useless striker they have, didn't realize they'd loaned Ki from Swansea. He's ok but I'd expect our midfield to dominate theirs.
  4. I think the ball scares that useless mug.
  5. Still really stings that one. Hope our lot approach this game in a professional manner, don't look down on this rabble and expect to just turn up and win. We have to stay above their level and not get dragged down to their level which we have a couple of times recently, Cattermole will be running round like a twat kicking everyone so hopefully Tiote and Cabaye just get on with their game and let him get sent off.
  6. Townsend had another class game today, Tottenham looked poor before their goal but ended up looking canny.
  7. Just watching the clash of the titans that is FC Dallas v Seattle Sounders, I never really watch MLS but was interested to see what Dempsey looked like; he looks distinctly average in this game tbh, don't know if he's just having a bad game or if he's really dropped to this level only a year or 2 after he was a decent prem player.
  8. Aye, what a feeling it must be to score for the toon. He's a left back normally right? he looked very composed in a less familiar position especially against one of the best strike partnerships in the league. It's good to see local lads come through tbh, I'd love to see us following Southampton's academy as an example of how to produce and bring through talent.
  9. Aye they've had a few rough ones this season but both had good games today. I've said it a couple of times but Dummett really impressed me, he's only appeared in tougher fixtures in his prem appearances and hasn't looked overwhelmed, to come on at centre back today and play like that was impressive.
  10. Aye sounds about right. He's a total piece of shit as a bloke in all.
  11. Aye agreed, Ferguson and co didn't work on him but Clark and Nolan did it's a bit bizarre. West Ham are playing some decent stuff mind, why did Allardyce set us up so shite the entire time he was here when he's capable of putting out sides like this.
  12. Aye seems to have calmed down a little bit mind, read something before on BBC saying Lee Clark had a big hand on settling him down while he was on loan at Birmingham. Nolan no doubt has had a word in all, similar to what he had with Carroll.
  13. That Ravel Morrison is playing some canny stuff.
  14. A good amount of them still fancy themselves to beat us, "it's only logical that things we will turn round for us next week and we start winning again getting points and have a good run up to the end of the season. ". If we approach the game like we approached todays they stand no chance, I understand the point that Poyet has had our number in the past but their squad (including all their shot confidence and fan unrest) is really really shit. Like I said before I just really hope the players approach this one in a professional manner, hopefully they have their backs up after being embarrassed last time.
  15. He really impressed today, I think it was his best game since possibly the 3-0 over Man U in 2012. The play where he overpowered Moses (I think) in the centre circle before surging forward was great, unfortunately he decided to take a shot when he had Ben Arfa moving wide of him as a good option if he slowed a little. Apart from that one mental ball where he hit sturridge he kept his passing simple like he used to.
  16. Aye, I want to see them come out with the same tempo we started today at and keep them on the backfoot. The fact they haven't sold out yet shows what their fans feel about the match, just hope like you say our players learnt from last year and aren't walking in already assuming it's 3 points in the bag.
  17. Really hope our lot go into next weeks game with the same attitude they approached today, we got arrogant last year and paid the price Pardew needs to keep them professional.
  18. Apparently Swansea haven't won at home in the league since March.
  19. Captain Cowell shorts looks nice and wound up today, look forward to his red card next week.
  20. Aye nice to see some continuity from them ahead of next week. Toothless up front and like a sieve at the back.
  21. Pacific Rim, think all the 'epicness' of the movie was lost watching it on telly tbh, enjoyable enough but seemed to drag a little at times. Charlie Hunnam was walking round like he'd had something shoved up his hoop again mind.
  22. Aye it's canny enough, watched the first 5 episodes. Agreed on Spader in all. I gave that new Agents of Shield a go last night in all, wasn't really sure whether it was ok or shit so I'll give it a few more episodes, some tidy lasses in it mind. Watched the first few of Brooklyn nine nine and it's canny bad but its enjoyable enough to keep me entertained for 30 mins. The new season of it's always sunny in Philadelphia has been class in all btw.
  23. "How do you feel to score your 100th goal?" Gerrard squeaked his answer before "ohhhh yeah, so you still remember your first goal?" and Gerrard proceeds to wax lyrical about how he remembers his first goal to near audible tugging from the interviewer. Of course they ignore a lad that just scored his first goal for his hometown club that very day . Que the "massive disappointment for Liverpool football club as they would have expected 3 points today" diddums I'm sorry that two teams play the game, they were 2nd best today 11 v 11 and looked poor generally aside from 2 mental lapses from our defense who were otherwise great. Like MT said the lack of praise for our performance especially after we went down to 10 men is a disgrace.
