Dawson's a canny player, normally solid. We're just really exploiting his lack of pace well with Remy.

Shocking dive and disgraceful decision. The commentator on the channel I watched it on was absolutely desperate for Chelsea to get a pen kept saying things like "I feel like the ref will give a pen", he seemed chuffed when the referee decided to give one in the last minute. We'd never hear the end of this if it was the other way round and won West Brom the game, Jose's record would be finished and they crying and whinging would start.

Aye Boruc is ok but his eccentricity is so high he is prone to doing some mental stuff. I just replaced him with Jason Steele from boro and I'm more solid defensively.
-
Aye I'd like to see Arsenal batter them like. I keep hearing people dismissing Arsenal as "they always fall apart" which is odd as wenger has already won the prem multiple times. They have a genuinely good side especially with ozil in there and Giroud looking a real handful every game.
-
Quality bloke, surprised at the mention as well. Hope they win the league this year.

Nowt at all, utter shithole to be honest. The air show is okay for kids but it would be a lot better if they just held it somewhere nicer.

And yet large parts of Sunderland make those places seem like Darras Hall.

Having a canny game with Southampton, finished 8th and won League cup in season 1 after buying Mateo Musacchio for £2.3m and Honda for £1.5, Mateo struggled all season but he's settled in more now 2nd season, Honda can't get a game as Ward-Prowse has become really good very quickly so I loaned him out to Fiorentina. Expected a decent budget for season 2 and got £7m sold Schneiderlin for £16m to Madrid as he had been unsettled for a while, and I got given £6m of the £16m, so went and got Jordan Jones from Boro, Fabio Borini for £2.2m, Sebastian Coates for £1.7m, Jason Steele for £750k and then I spent the rest (with future clauses and adjusting my wage budget) to get Stevan Jovetic. The chairman is still unhappy I didn't buy enough star names or Italian players, but I'm not exactly sure what he was expecting with £7m. So far looking a bit more solid defensively (scored a lot last season but also conceded a lot), Osvaldo (Prem's top scorer with 26 1st season) has carried on scoring for fun. Through to the group stage in Europa league and 2nd in the prem after 8 games. Enjoying the game so far tbh, seems to actually run better than FM13 did on my laptop.

The Secret Diary of Lee Ryder (aged 44 and a half)
Howay replied to Craig's topic in Newcastle Forum
Agreed. Although I do agree with HMHM's point that any attacks against Ashley is a good thing, even when it's coming from a former Ashley groveler. What a shite situation it is tbh, I can see Gemmill's point about not going and the points the lads that still go make, if I still lived back home I'd have a rough time making the choice too as I love going to the match but he really is openly taking the piss knowing most will still turn up. My dad packed going in a year or so after I moved away as he's completely disillusioned with what Ashley is doing and it makes me furious knowing Ashley has done that, a bloke from Benwell that went to nearly all home and away fixtures (excluding most euro away ones due to money) before I was born and every home game and the odd away before I moved countries. A few of his mates that have always went have started packing it in as well, it's a real shame to see such apathy forming in what Stevie and a few have labelled the more hardcore fans. Just praying that he sells up asap. -

I don't really understand the banning of journos like, is he really that precious? I guess he more likely just wants to generate lots of press off the back of this, if that's why then he's achieved his goal again. I'd like to see the national papers etc participate in a media blackout to see what would happen (of course they'd never ever do this the Mike Ashley circus guarantees them website hits etc).- 10610 replies

Fraser Forster or The Scottish Football Thread.
Howay replied to mls1-CelticFC's topic in Newcastle Forum
Really hoping this parasite moves onto Rangers, they suit him better than us as he can win SPL titles with little funding which will probably give him lots of easy good press rather than working to generate bad press like he does with us. Of course there's always the possibility of someone worse coming in... -
Aye the way Hart is playing he might Miskick something into his own net.
-
Another humiliation as a weakened cup team rolls over and takes a kicking like we're told to expect since we can't possibly compete with them. 4-0 to City, we'll be lucky to have a shot.

The only problem being Kinnear can't drive seriously the bloke is that useless. I'd honestly like to think that if Kinnear was appointed he'd be greeted with an empty stadium for his first home game.- 10610 replies

Agree with all of that, including the feeling of considering giving up. Being shit is one thing, but not trying to improve is just a joke. Someone mentioned earlier when people were talking about motivation of the players and 'surely they read the paper' etc, but like you say they don't "get it" and I don't think they do read the papers, or watch the news, it's hard to shut that stuff out for British lads but for foreigners it's a lot easier. I mean Dummett will be getting earfuls from his mates and family, meanwhile the foreign lads will have moved on.

Howay replied to Kid Dynamite's topic in Newcastle Forum
Aye, the only benefit I can see is we wont play them next year as the way we're set up we're never competing for this fixture again. They've been the bottlers for years, it's our lot now.- 10610 replies

Howay replied to Kid Dynamite's topic in Newcastle Forum
I'm far from happy with the players, they're a total and utter disgrace. Only a few of them actually tried to play football today, the rest couldn't be bothered. I'm furious with them. I'm also just venting about Pardew, because honestly mate I'm sick of the lot of them.- 10610 replies

Spot on, I was saying to someone the other day it's been quite a while since we comfortably beat someone most games I remember recently it's been backs to the wall for the last 10 minutes or so to hold onto the 1 goal lead. We also get ripped to bits relatively often, it's almost nailed on that one of the next 3 games (City, Chelsea, Spurs) will be a 4-0 loss. It shouldn't be that way, Man City haven't had great away form this season but no doubt they'll give us a right good kicking as our lot will yet again look like they just turned up for the game from a pub lock in.

Howay replied to Kid Dynamite's topic in Newcastle Forum
I agree that he was given them, it's just worrying that a manager can't motivate a group of guys that were humiliated 3-0 by this lot last time. Agreed on the last point as well, we're really in shitty shape with the run of games we have coming up we could well be in or around the relegation spots in 3 weeks.- 10610 replies

Well at least we'd show ambition to get back up to the premiership under big fat Mike if we went down again, would be a great deal more entertaining than the utter shit we're being served up now where our ambition amounts to trying to survive in the Premiership using the lowest possible amount of resources. I'm not against the high amount of foreigners in the side, but it would be nice to have some influential British/Irish lads in the side (like we had with Nolan and co.) many have rightly hinted that we'd not see the utter disinterest we saw today if it were the case.
