I'd rather Hughton but it doesn't really have much bearing on my dislike for Pardew. Pardew was, is and will always be a complete bellend. My dislike of him comes from his shit tactics and kissing up to the owner, the fact the bloke is a smug tosser just adds to it.

A lot of the things he cleared off the line were as a result of him losing his man, I never minded Simpson tbh he was a capable lower prem/upper championship full back but Debuchy is a clear step up from him.

I think Debuchy deserves to be in the group you've said have done well tbh, we're far far worse off defensively when he's injured. He's looked excellent in some games and often one of the better players on the pitch when he plays. Calling him Danny Simpson is very unfair, before he settled in that would have been valid enough to say but now he's clearly head and shoulders above the bloke. He clearly aims for people when he crosses and despite our strikers being woeful he has 4 assists, Danny Simpson on the other hand just lumped the ball in the box without looking. Defensively he's on another planet to Simpson, he uses the sideline excellently and doesn't just back off into the box like Simpson used to. If the rumoured move to Bayern comes off he'll look fucking immense crossing balls to Lewandowski and having strong defensive partners alongside him.

Sunderland will manage to stay up now in all. Is Moyes sticking around for the end of the season? He'll no doubt assist in the bamps great escape.

It still doesn't excuse why a 27/28 year old professional athlete has let himself get into such shit shape. He has responsibility for his own career, if you had a shit boss at work it wouldn't excuse you if you started doing fuck all all day. I agree he's been poorly managed but he isn't fulfilling the minimum expectation of an athlete. All of this is the reason he's playing for us mind, if he was in great shape all the time and was a hard worker alongside his undoubted talent he'd probably be at a CL club, rather than at a club managed by a tosser like Pardew.

I blame Pardew for a lot of things but the fact is Ben Arfa is being hugely unprofessional. It's not good enough to come back fat as fuck and use the excuse that the manager is a nob and hasn't won owt. Pardew of course shoulders blame too but I can't absolve Ben Arfa just because Pardew is a joke. We can't play Ben Arfa for 90 mins with the shape he's in, he's fat as fuck, he struggles against fresh opposition and is better ATM coming on as a sub when his opponents are tired. I'd give him more than 20 mins and that bit is on Pardew. Pardew clearly doesn't like him or players of his ilk and I'll never agree with Pardew on this, but Ben Arfa is doing fuck all to prove him wrong. Letting himself get so pathetically out of shape helps Pardews argument that Ben Arfa is lazy. Would Pardew pick him if he was in good shape? Who knows, but if that was the case then the blame would solely be on Pardew. I agree with Ewerk, Gemmill and PL Pardew is a twat but Ben Arfa is acting a right sack too.

Agree with MT, without Remy we wouldn't score again this season but he'll get a couple if he plays tbh. We've created some chances in games and the difference is he'd tuck them away or create openings with his movement.
