Was it Gazza that done similar when he was playing for Spurs against us and having Mars bars hoyed at him? Good on Alves, the quote MT posted from him is class as well.
-
Shelvey's a canny player tbh, but Swansea paid 6m for him didn't they? and he's had a decent season so they'll want at least that, can't see us spending more than 8m on a player so it doesn't leave too much room for negotiation.

I think it's a bit of a mix, some are really shit, some are average but really inconsistent. I just think the teams are a poor standard this year, I'm still shocked we could finish top 10 after losing 19/20 games. The Premiership is normally one of the harder leagues to predict, but this season has been very bizarre, it also feels like the points are spread more evenly than normal as it's only something like 9 points between 20th and 12th (maybe 11th I can't remember). There has been a lot of managerial changes aye, some odd ones too as I don't really feel Swansea, Cardiff and Norwich have gained a great deal from theirs.
-
He's a right cockend. Arsenal are far from being some unbeatable force, of course us fans can talk about how we stand no chance but to hear the manager come out and say it before a game is shocking.
-
Depressingly true.

This season's been shite tbh, not just because we're shit but just the standard has seemed low. The media keep acting as if it's been an unbelievable season because of the 3 horse race for the title but they've all had chances to make it their own but just keep slipping up. Ferguson must regret retirement a little as I could easily see him having at least 7 more wins by this point and comfortably be challenging. Meanwhile over half the league is utter dogshit, we're 9th and could very realistically end the season top 10 with 19 or even 20 losses. Sunderland will stay up, the Everton - Man City game is obviously the key game for the title now, if Man City win I can see them winning their last two and the title unless there is an 11 goal winning margin for Liverpool against us. What a crap season it's been.

what would it take to renew your excitement for next season?

This, the man is completely incapable of coaching players. -

Obviously Ashley selling up would boost my excitement again. But failing that Pardew has to go, even if we spend £20-30m I can't get excited with that utter tosser in charge. He basically insults or undermines the fans/city/club in some way most weeks, and tactically he's clueless. Him going is the absolute minimum I expect, if neither leave I cant see myself being excited at all. -
We need shot of this spineless wanker. I've never seen a manager concede defeat so often before games.

Dan Gosling will step up big to crush Gerrard's dream.
-
Aye sure he is, Bigirimana is as well mind and Gosling is playing over him.
-
Aye looks that way, pity Fulham didn't just hold on against Hull as I can see them picking up points for their last 2 games. Norwich are gone, we'll probably hammer Cardiff next weekend to help Sunderland stay up in all.

Alan Pardew - Poltroon sacked by a forrin team

Maybe getting Luuk here was an attempt to convince his brother to join, it can't be for his playing ability.- 10610 replies

Aye he's still a class player tbh, obviously dropping off a bit due to age but mobility was never really an important part of his game anyway.
-
Agree, he's a twat tbh.
-
aye wormtongue is a good comparison.
-
I'd rather Hughton but it doesn't really have much bearing on my dislike for Pardew. Pardew was, is and will always be a complete bellend. My dislike of him comes from his shit tactics and kissing up to the owner, the fact the bloke is a smug tosser just adds to it.
-
A lot of the things he cleared off the line were as a result of him losing his man, I never minded Simpson tbh he was a capable lower prem/upper championship full back but Debuchy is a clear step up from him.
-
He's fucking mental him like, that room looks like a serial killers room from a detective show.
-
I think Debuchy deserves to be in the group you've said have done well tbh, we're far far worse off defensively when he's injured. He's looked excellent in some games and often one of the better players on the pitch when he plays. Calling him Danny Simpson is very unfair, before he settled in that would have been valid enough to say but now he's clearly head and shoulders above the bloke. He clearly aims for people when he crosses and despite our strikers being woeful he has 4 assists, Danny Simpson on the other hand just lumped the ball in the box without looking. Defensively he's on another planet to Simpson, he uses the sideline excellently and doesn't just back off into the box like Simpson used to. If the rumoured move to Bayern comes off he'll look fucking immense crossing balls to Lewandowski and having strong defensive partners alongside him.

Sunderland will manage to stay up now in all. Is Moyes sticking around for the end of the season? He'll no doubt assist in the bamps great escape.

So CT wanted him sacked 2 month into the season after we finished 5th, but doesn't want him sacked after one of the worst half seasons in any of our lives? Give owa man CT.- 10610 replies

Do they really have to bother playing this one?
