  1. Sadly I don't even think losing to Cardiff would have mattered, if he can survive losing 7 in a row, barely winning any in the last 16, headbutting someone and getting battered with alarming regularity, I think he'd have survived losing 9 in a row. Honestly don't see what will get the cockend fired, maybe relegation? but even then maybe not.
  2. The Pardew for England thing was a joke, he posted a winky face one time that he said it which was his get out clause for later.
  3. Aye her story lines were annoying, every bloke going wanted to rape/kidnap her. Johnny Drama trying to keep her in an underground bunker so he could hang out with her was bizarre in all.
  4. "Spent games willing the opposition on against us" don't agree with that bit at all like, the cardiff game is the closest I've ever come to wanting us to lose but come kick off I was back to wanting us to win.
  5. We would finally get to see how truly great Shola is in training after years of being told it as well.
  6. Aye, I just got tired of seemingly everyone working against him on everything. When he finally did persuade someone to help him their boss would come along and fuck that right up.
  7. 'milk turns quicker that Mertesacker'. I hope Podolski was missing on purpose mind.
  8. Aye, it doesn't sound as good when the commentators yell his name so Steeeeeeevie Geeee wins again. Toure is just incredible mind, to do a run like that in the 93rd minute man is utterly amazing, and it's not like he was stagnant in the centre all game either. He's one of them players that makes everything look so effortless, that pass against us a while ago through to Aguero from the centre circle that took our whole defense out the game looked pretty simple until you watched again and saw how unbelievable it was. Imagine if Ashley had sold up to the Man City lot and we were watching him every week rather than Dan Gosling.
  9. He's been incredible this season like, 20 goals from midfield a lot of them absolute worldies as well.
  10. Aye, took a season to adapt but since then he has pretty much a 1 in 2 ratio in the league.
  11. Agreed, if you go back and read the first few pages like CT told people to do thinking it would highlight his point it's clear most (if not all) thought there'd be a few hundred walk out and most not know about it. In actual fact there were a few thousand walked out, the whole stadium booming with anti-Pardew and anti-Ashley chants as well as international coverage of "Newcastle fans engaging in an organized walk out" numbers weren't mentioned much and the media wasn't calling it embarrassing or a failure, by the original feeling towards it and what it ended up being it's a success. Of course if people HAD been expecting 20,000 and international media coverage (which no one did) and there was only a few thousand walk out, then that would be seen as a failure.
  12. The 20,000 was only used as a discussion point in the leaving early/not turning up altogether debate. Ant's post on the first page is one of the only actual estimates and he said he'd be shocked if 1,000 did it, so by that 2,000-3,000 isn't bad at all.
  13. Aye Cabaye tbh, since he's left it's been fucking embarrassing.
  14. Is he of the point that the squad is deep enough, so the people complaining about it should shut up? or that the ownership shouldn't get any stick for the thinning of the squad? or that it was impossible for us to hold on to Guthrie? or just the usual ambiguous attack that means he's sat nicely on the fence.
  15. Good post Aimaad, agree with all of it. Aye, I think the problem we all have isn't that we're losing players like Guthrie it's that if we're letting them go or selling them we should be improving on them, which we aren't doing. There are examples where we have/at least tried which I am happy with, such as letting Simpson leave and bringing in Debuchy, or losing Enrique and bringing in Santon, but we've not been doing that enough so it means we're left with a thinning squad and a youth system that isn't bringing through the talent to fill the difference. Losing Guthrie wouldn't be brought up if we'd improved Bigi and he was playing regularly now while we waited to replace Cabaye, but unfortunately they've not done that and we're watching Dan Gosling. Up front has been the worst for me, we had Carroll, Shola, Lovenkrands and Best, we really needed another striker to partner Carroll and have the other 3 as back ups, instead we kept Shola out the three got Ba in, then later Cisse and then lost Ba; so we're down to Cisse and Shola, and only Cisse is contracted into next season, with again no youth coming through. The drop offs in our squad are too big now, whereas they used to be closer and that's a big problem, one which 3-4 signings wont rectify especially with further thinning coming.
  16. Brilliant, they include such stellar clean sheets like the 2-0 win over Morecambe ffs. I saw somewhere that the mackems have 13 in total this season so it's not really something to brag about.
  17. Aye, Bigi will probably go somewhere like Nottingham Forest, progress well and move on to a premiership team (unless of course Forest got themselves promoted). Vuckic's injuries look to have ruined the lads career, which is a shame as he looked canny, he didn't have much pace to begin with and the injuries have took the little he had. The point about Guthrie wanting out could have easily been corrected had the club wanted to, he was only on about four grand a week couple a bump in wages with the feeling Cabaye was going to leave in the somewhat near future and a bit of convincing would have probably swayed him. Colocinni seemed to be more set on leaving than Guthrie ever was and we've convinced him to stay.
  18. While I am enjoying some of the pictures/videos mocking Liverpool, I can't help but feel nervous that Man City might lose one of their games and leave these people feeling very daft. (aimed at no one on here btw, just some of the daft sods on Facebook and other things acting as if there's no way Liverpool can win it now.) I also get what PL and HMHM are saying, there are obviously a lot of decent scousers out there and I have some sympathy for them as it's shite to miss out on it, we would know. The glory hunters (I know a few of these as well) can obviously fuck off and it's hilarious watching them post things like "GET IN POOOOOOOOOOOOOL" when they're winning 3-0 but come the 3-3 all those posts were deleted.
  19. Aye for sure, what was it he was asking? like 20k a week? They're saying Taylor is one of the highest paid members of the squad ffs so Guthrie should have got around 20k at least. We seem to get rid of a lot of these more productive squad players (Routledge, Best, Perch etc) which is a real shame, obviously it's because we can get some sort of fee for them but it really weakens us.
  20. Aye once PSG and Monaco started spunking cash about he was bound to back down. Once Psg were named as one of the teams in violation I don't think anyone thought there would be bans handed out. I agree that a £50m fine seems a bit illogical in all tbh, kicking them all out of the CL for a year would have made a massive statement and really shocked all these teams now they all know it's the joke they were acting it was.
  21. Aye, Pardew saying 3 to 4 as if it's exciting that's a fairly normal summer window for a lot of teams ffs. We need 2 up top alone, a winger (or 2), a cabaye replacement and a left back (as it seems Pardew has lost faith in Santon and he can fuck off if he thinks starting the season with Paul Dummet there is a viable option), that's 5 minimum to me tbh and that's provided we don't lose Debuchy or Krul.
  22. Don't see why we'd get rid of Bigi, he's far better than Gosling who is starting games and looks like he'll turn into a decent prem player at the very least.
  23. Stan Collymore ffs, I respect Robbie Savage and Garth Crooks' opinions more than that boring bastards which says a lot.
  24. I missed that , he's a clueless mug like the left back for left back every game and his recent insistence on using Gosling prove it. Liking the new avatar mind AH, playing the cones of Dunshire looks funner than watching a Pardew side.
