  1. Following MF's lead and playing through the AC series, I picked up AC 1,2, brotherhood and revelations for about 10-15 quid in game last summer and I've barely bothered with them till now. I clocked the first one a while ago and got through half of two but can't find it, so I'm on brotherhood. First time I've ever played it and it's quality, I keep getting my assassin mates killed like as I sneak into a Borgias tower and set them on the main guy, they kill him but then get a right kicking from the rest of the guys. It's a far bigger game then I thought it would be. Just picked up the 3rd one for $6 used off amazon, I know you all say it's shite but for about 4 quid I can't complain. The fourth one is about $20 on amazon atm, I'll wait until I've clocked these 3 to bother with it but I might have a PS4 by then anyway.
  2. Aye, he's spot on. How depressing man.
  3. Ken sounds radge as fuck like Deaders.
  4. Even more apt if you stick an L on the end of Trivia.
  5. Surely people wont show up for cup games now? They've pretty much come out and said they're throwing the games, so it doesn't even matter if it's a fiver to get in may as well just get another pint in the pub and (depending on the pub) a go on the trivia machine.
  6. I wish I could have one, I occasionally go through spells of wanting a team to do well if they're good to watch (like the Dortmund team recently) but I still don't get any excitement from them scoring. It's what I've always wondered about glory hunters, do they really get any enjoyment out of watching? Like I've known lads grow up toon fans then at 12/13 suddenly announce they were Liverpool fans and when Liverpool score they do the most pathetic showing of fake emotion I've seen. The saddest part is I felt nowt when Shola scored against Cardiff in the final game, I hope that doesn't continue into next season, if it does I'd like to thank Ashley for totally fucking destroying my interest in the game.
  7. More reason why it was so utterly pointless to keep giving the shitter games when we had Bigirimana playing in the reserves.
  8. Aye true enough Aimaad, just need to get through 20 or so games then coast the remainder of the season. If we're struggling then we can bring in a few in January to avoid relegation. What really astounds me though is that someone like Moyes could easily hit Ashley's goal of survival every year with even less risk + investment than Pardew, surely it'd be worth investing a bit more in wages to bring him in? Then again Moyes is a risk of getting highly unfasionable sides into Europa league contention, something Pardew has accidentally managed once which almost cost us!
  9. So I guess that explains the dog shit performances we've seen in the cups under Pardew, the next statement could address how we now get turned over by the mackems everytime, or is that simply just to try and further kick any passion out of the fan base.
  10. Five signings are needed eh? Then the article goes on to mention eight players possibly leaving (including the loanees) so we're planning on thinning possibly the thinnest squad in the league by another 3 players ffs.
  11. Especially considering 33 points and our GD would have kept us up! It's disgraceful how they can say that and expect people to go "aye fair point, look at Wigan and Birmingham" They're shite, and were shite, the fact that teams as bad as them have gotten to cup finals is evidence against their argument of not bothering. If the winner got 10m and Semi-Finalists got 5m I'm sure we'd be trying, but as it stands there's not enough money in it for them, they've owned up that they're not interested in the cups they may as well of come out and said it's down to money and not some shite research about how Wigan Athletic got relegated when they won it.
  12. Yup, they've turned us into the most uninteresting thing in an industry that is meant to be entertaining. We discuss budgets and balance sheets more than any other fanbase (maybe apart from clubs that are going through administration), I understand it's very important but it's still depressing how much it is forced down our throats by the club, like Gemmill pointed out our cup runs are now decided by fucking research teams who weigh up whether it's worth bothering. Even League two teams give the cups a go man.
  13. I think the saddest thing is it's not even a case of us being just shite, we've been shite before and people rightly backed the club and the team to try and turn it around, but the ownership and management are now fully set on simply securing Premiership position for the foreseeable future and nothing more or less than that. I'd seriously rather us just be fucking shite and at least have the desire or ambition to want to turn the club around.
  14. Aye, think the renewals are already in now in all. Mike must be annoyed that he can't just petition the FA to let us be 10th for the next decade and not have to bother with the actual football nonsense.
  15. Aye, couple more million for Mike to hoy in his pocket.
  16. Too depressed for sarcasm now TS. Maybe they say "Pardew will pump your lass and that'll get you out your marriage for a lower cost"
  17. Honestly I think our pitch is to say, come here and prove yourself in a more competitive league and we'll flog you once your market value rises above what we paid. edit: So aye what Andrew said.
  18. How utterly fucking depressing. There is absolutely no point in us anymore, they've finally just come out and said it. Don't want Europa league positions, don't want relegated and now don't want cups, so that leaves us with season aims of being ko'd the cups asap against shite in the 3rd round and coming between 14th and 8th.
  19. Fuck this man, what's the point? They're flat out fucking saying it now. By the time we played Cardiff in the 3rd round of the FA cup it was quite clear we weren't going to be going down this season, so why didn't they give it a go? I mean pretty much since that game we had the worst form going anyway so it sort of proved we had very little chance of being relegated. Seriously coming to the point of losing all interest tbh, between Pardew's dull as shit tactics, the complete lack of any ambition/player signings and now them coming out and openly saying there's no point bothering with the cups, there's no point in watching us anymore. I fully understand the lads wanting to have a pint in the pub and watch, if I was still back home I'd definitely still be doing it, but I'm not sure how arsed I can be getting up early (or wasting my saturday morning) to watch this shite (of course saying all this I no doubt will be ffs).
  20. Aye I'd of only brought one of them tbh, for their experience. I like Lampard but just can't see him having much impact in the heat and humidity at his age. We're against 2 South American teams who will deal with the humidity far better than our lot, playing Gerrard and Lampard will see us overrun tbh. Our best shot is to put on the youngsters that have a lot of pace and energy and try and play as high tempo as we can, Gerrard and Lampard would slow us to a crawl like they have for years. It's a shame we've had so many injuries like Walker, Wilshere and Walcott , I know Wilshere can play but he might not be at his best.
  21. If we got rid of that lot we'd need about 10 players man. The state of our squad is a fucking joke.
  22. That's about the best squad he could have picked really. There's a few here and there people would swap but I'm glad he stuck with the youth, we looked a lot more lively and positive through qualifying playing. There is fuck all point bringing the 'experience' as they've all failed spectacularly in their primes why would that change now they're all north of 30? I don't mind seeing Gerrard there but he shouldn't start every game, it's time to let the young lot have their chance.
  23. He's a lot better than Rafinha. His work rate and speed up and down the wing would be a good asset as well.
  24. He'd be class for Bayern. Provided of course they keep Lahm at CM.
  25. Aye and sadly he's not the only one.
