Too depressed for sarcasm now TS. Maybe they say "Pardew will pump your lass and that'll get you out your marriage for a lower cost"
-
Honestly I think our pitch is to say, come here and prove yourself in a more competitive league and we'll flog you once your market value rises above what we paid. edit: So aye what Andrew said.
-
How utterly fucking depressing. There is absolutely no point in us anymore, they've finally just come out and said it. Don't want Europa league positions, don't want relegated and now don't want cups, so that leaves us with season aims of being ko'd the cups asap against shite in the 3rd round and coming between 14th and 8th.
-
Fuck this man, what's the point? They're flat out fucking saying it now. By the time we played Cardiff in the 3rd round of the FA cup it was quite clear we weren't going to be going down this season, so why didn't they give it a go? I mean pretty much since that game we had the worst form going anyway so it sort of proved we had very little chance of being relegated. Seriously coming to the point of losing all interest tbh, between Pardew's dull as shit tactics, the complete lack of any ambition/player signings and now them coming out and openly saying there's no point bothering with the cups, there's no point in watching us anymore. I fully understand the lads wanting to have a pint in the pub and watch, if I was still back home I'd definitely still be doing it, but I'm not sure how arsed I can be getting up early (or wasting my saturday morning) to watch this shite (of course saying all this I no doubt will be ffs).
-
Aye I'd of only brought one of them tbh, for their experience. I like Lampard but just can't see him having much impact in the heat and humidity at his age. We're against 2 South American teams who will deal with the humidity far better than our lot, playing Gerrard and Lampard will see us overrun tbh. Our best shot is to put on the youngsters that have a lot of pace and energy and try and play as high tempo as we can, Gerrard and Lampard would slow us to a crawl like they have for years. It's a shame we've had so many injuries like Walker, Wilshere and Walcott , I know Wilshere can play but he might not be at his best.
-
If we got rid of that lot we'd need about 10 players man. The state of our squad is a fucking joke.
-
That's about the best squad he could have picked really. There's a few here and there people would swap but I'm glad he stuck with the youth, we looked a lot more lively and positive through qualifying playing. There is fuck all point bringing the 'experience' as they've all failed spectacularly in their primes why would that change now they're all north of 30? I don't mind seeing Gerrard there but he shouldn't start every game, it's time to let the young lot have their chance.
-
He's a lot better than Rafinha. His work rate and speed up and down the wing would be a good asset as well.
-
He'd be class for Bayern. Provided of course they keep Lahm at CM.
-
Aye and sadly he's not the only one.

http://www.nufc.co.uk/articles/20140511/shola-dumbfounded-by-red-card_2281670_3821960?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=facebook If that's true Dowd shouldn't be refereeing at the top level, fucking pathetic. This is a bloke that takes regular barrages of abuse from the likes of Rooney, Ferdinand, Terry, Gerrard etc, yet when Shola tries to defend himself about showing dissent he gets a further booking. Nowt will come of any of it mind.
-
Shame for Cole, as I think he's been excellent and always put a shift in for England where others in his generation have been inconsistent in internationals. I do understand it mind, Baines is brilliant and Shaw fully deserves his place and he's the future of the team for that position so it's good experience for him. I like the idea of the teams a few of you have posted, if we see Gerrard and Lampard lining up together I'll be switching off tbh. Our first game is going to be near the equator so a pair of plodding 30+ year olds that have had plenty of attempts wont be much to watch. Hopefully we see a young team and just go for it, our chances of winning it are slim anyway so may as well use it as experience.
-
"You're only 6 points behind Southampton" What an achievement to be that close to a team that were in league one just a few year ago.
-
After shouting Dowd down today he should put on that "whyaye man" costume and become a leader in the anti Ashley movement, he's good at yelling at fat cunts as he's the first man to get through Dowd's thick skin.
-
Finished below Stoke ffs, what a damp squib this season has been.
-
Aye, there was a 50 odd year old bloke running laps with an inflatable trophy, what a knacker.
-
Aye it's like sending a player off for stamping the ground in frustration and saying "well he was near that opposition players foot and was being aggressive".
-
Phil Dowd MOTM for them like, 2 soft free kicks and 2 soft sendings off to help the best attack in world football overcome the 4th worst defence in the league.
-
"Suarez done him a favor not staying down there" Why? did the rush of air as Dummett past him knock him over ffs.
-
The commentator there man when Sammy went down "yeah they go down very soft these days and I guess the referee feels like he has to give it in the name of consistency" aye consistent with the 2 soft free kicks they scored from.
-
Sammy's silky feet
-
He loves subbing Gouffran off mind.
-
There's the left back on
-
Fully agree, the defending was shite for both, Krul getting beat at his near post for the first then flapping at the second. Joke defending on both. Don't know why he took Gouffran off mind, think he's been one of our best players.
-
How the fuck did none of these Liverpool players get booked for that?
