  1. Aye he's chatting shit like, Taylor is a local lad and gets probably more shite than Luque ever got. Like you say every fan base likes to see youth come through, but they still have to be good, Luque fails to take any blame for the fact he was fucking terrible while he played for us. He's also wrong when he says every Spaniard that comes here fails, Enrique did well. Colocinni and Jonas have both done well (I know they're Argentinian but they were both more suited to the Spanish style of playing that Luque refers too). Luque failed because he wasn't good enough to play his way and be effective or wasn't able to adapt. Some lads struggle with the transition but there's shit tonnes of Spanish lads that play in the lower leagues where it's far more the direct English style than in the Premiership, it's all about how well you can adapt and how hard you're willing to work. Of course coaching adds to it and will be vital for a lad as young as Perez, but Luque was at an age where the responsibility was on him a bit more. Colocinni and Enrique are perfect examples, they both looked abysmal when they first come and took stick, but they dug in worked hard, adapted and both become far better players, Luque in contrast bottled it.
  2. He wanted to end his career at Barca yesterday, now he wants a guaranteed job for life at Man City, the blokes a total fucking loon.
  3. http://talksport.com/football/exclusive-agent-reveals-toures-man-city-future-not-100-certain-and-hints-barcelona-move Wants more attention and it's not about the birthday cake as he can afford to buy everyone birthday cake. What a tart this bloke is moaning he doesn't get enough attention and one place he'd want to go is Barcelona? one of the only clubs in the world where he'd get substantially less attention. I really hope he's just agitating for a move away with all of this and they're not actually serious that he feels slighted because he isn't getting enough attention from his boss, otherwise when he retires he'll be similar to Leazes ranting away in pubs, except rather then telling people how right he was/is it'll be about how no one is giving him enough attention/respect.
  4. The people on youtube comments reckon Porto were after him too, mind the same bloke also is in an argument about why would a player pick Newcastle over Porto and he's said Newcastle offered to pay far more over the release clause which makes no sense tbh, as then couldn't Porto just meet the clause and discuss with him anyway? anyway either way can't say I'm thrilled with the prospect of signing a Spanish second division player, I know he's only 20 and could develop well but, Pardew can't develop players and we don't have time to develop them anyway we need strikers that can walk in and perform right away.
  5. The stuff just after the trial by combat. Good to know DK
  6. I wonder if Mansour goes round wishing every one of his employees a happy birthday and shakes their hands, if he doesnt fuck knows how he still manages to run his businesses.
  7. And the directors of every team have to come down to wish him a happy birthday and shake his hand, its just common decency.
  8. Can I wear jeans? Or is it business casual attire only?
  9. Why not eh? Happens all the time apparently
  10. I agree, Smallings dog shit and Shawcross has had a good season. He'd be a big upgrade on the Taylor/Williamson half of our CB pairing. Aye, Aimaad hes dead average but as sad as it is he'd do a job for us, obviously Diame would be the one I'd far rather see here but I cant see that.
  11. "I'll make an announcement following the world cup" and I thought the bastards that made everyone suffer their birthday week were bad enough this daft bastard still thinks its relevant a 6 week later. Honest man I dont give a damn if everyone completely ignored him (which obviously didnt happen) hes a grown man ffs.
  12. Class by littlefinger. I guess they're going to do the coming big event in episode 9, looking forward to seeing how they do it.
  13. Aye, I'm watching on Netflix but they only have the first 2 seasons and iirc it has 3, so I might have to do the same for the third.
  14. Good point. The whole thing reads like a 'support the manager because erm well he's in the position' similar to Moncur's point, of course that point is fucking moronic. I also wish this 'cockney mafia' shite would go away, only seem to hear it from the jeb-ends like Dick who are trying to calm everyone down or saying it's all a bit over the top.
  15. Aye he's a nob like, 31 and whinging your boss didn't acknowledge your birthday enough ffs.
  16. Linked to Diame, Noble and Shawcross today from various sources in the BBC gossip column. The press going for the 'well they obviously need to sign a lot of players so let's link them with everyone' approach. I'd love Diame and Shawcross mind, Noble isn't bad either, not that I think we'll get any of them mind.
  17. Imagine his face if he moved to Bayern and walked into the club on his birthday then in to a room full of people frustrated that he didn't bring cake.
  18. Finally got round to starting Luther, up to episode 4 and it's been cracking so far. Elba is quality like, brilliant in the Wire too, shame he seems to only be getting poor roles in movies/crappy movies like Pacific Rim, his tiny role in Thor and that shite one he done with Beyonce.
  19. Probably just go with the fog man back if Ter Stegen gets hurt, maybe they can change Mascherano into a goalkeeper now? he'd probably still be better than Pinto even though hes like 5 foot tall. Also this just come up on BBC : http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/27484318 I think it's quality, Yaya completely throwing his toys out the pram because none of the City owners shook his hand specifically for his birthday. The best bit to me is possibly when the agent says "He got a cake but when it was Roberto Carlos's birthday, the president of Anzhi gave him a Bugatti, I don't expect City to present Yaya with a Bugatti, we only asked that they shook his hand and said 'we congratulate you'." It doesn't say that Carlos got a handshake either though, just a Bugatti so I don't really see the relevance unless Yaya does want a Bugatti. There's also a bit later where he says to the reporter "if no one at your work shook your hand on your birthday you would leave it's perfectly normal", erm nah I'd be a bit miffed no one noticed but if only my boss failed to care who gives a fuck? what a fucking baby. Angling for an improved deal iyam.
  20. Barca appoint Luis Enrique, sign Ter Stegen and sign Messi to a new deal, not a bad day for them.
  21. Aye I've kept playing as I was worried I'd never get it but I'm starting to get the hang of it now. I really like the combat now, like you said it's a big improvement on block-counter as you can be aggressive attacking until you see they're making an attack then blocking and countering fluidly, I really like that the enemy have more of a chance now as well and I've had to actually run away from a few fights as I'd gotten surrounded by the tougher enemies that can only be taken down with a counter then pistol/bow and arrow. I'm more able to avoid the barrages, I still get caught in the open now and again but I've started just putting bodies between me and them which often works. I've been enjoying parts up to now (I'm finally adult Connor in assassins clobber) but some have been excruciatingly dull, the whole lead up to being adult Connor just felt like an overly long epilogue. Agree on the lack of cities, I often find myself running up a building to notice there's nothing around it to jump onto so I have to make my way down to street level. The one boat bit I've done was cracking like, I was nervous about how it would feel as a lot of the other different vehicle bits tended to feel clunky to me in other AC games but they did a very good job. I'm not sure what the cities are like in AC4 but I know that there's a really heavy focus on the ships. There's a trailer for the next AC, called Unity, and it looks to be set in Paris during the reign of Terror so that guarantees a lot of the built up areas like Rome/Florence/Constantinople etc.
