  1. Aye he’s a fuckin wanker, his classic thing is to pour water on everything but caveat it in some way that he can go back on it, such as the below: We’ve just spent £45m on a player. Seems FFP wasn’t an issue, it was more likely negotiations were going on and cunt chops didn’t have a clue. More cold water. Throw in some negativity, and a clear dig at NUFC fans on Twitter getting excited. Negative about Joelintons chances of playing. Just another thing he got wrong. Another negative article, basically we can’t spend because of FFP so it’ll be loans or fuck all. Another pretty negative article 3 days later, basically saying the club don’t want to spend, FFP etc, it’ll probably just be loans, Gordon briefly mentioned but it’s just in a run down of all the players linked and it’s not a strong or positive link. Mention of Gordon, but he incorrectly thinks DCL is the focus as he’s constantly linked us to - Gordon was always the target. Another negative article, questioning the club not spending - despite him constantly bleating about FFP being a complete blocker. Weird one, and incorrect of course. First proper mention of Gordon, but it’s just mentioned in the context of he’s “heard him linked a lot” but he then of course says he mentioned Gordon in an article - he did but he also mentioned about 8 other players as a list people were mentioning it wasn’t him breaking anything or giving anything definitive. Negative, another “as I said” despite it all being piggybacking off others making the link. Another negative one, clearly this one was a proper negotiation but Edwards here trying to frame it more like the Maddison situation from the summer. Gordon signing happened, Luke has then said that one signing is it, and started pouring more cold water on any other link . Oh aye he also got the structure of the Gordon deal wrong, then mentioned Ashby for the very first time way after others - so if that one happens expect a ton of “like I mentioned earlier this week” shite. The bloke is an absolute fucking whopper, he’s also got two of his mates tweeting stuff like “as Luke said” about the Gordon transfer when the cunt did no such fucking thing other than citing others and being negative.
  2. Chelsea light in midfield the same Chelsea that have Jorginho, Kante, Loftus Cheek, Kovacic, Hall, Chukwuemeka, Zakaria, Andrey Santos, and Mount (who can drop to CM)? Aye they’d be threadbare if Gallagher left.
  3. Aye, I do feel for the lad. Not Sunderland fans though (I know you didn’t say you did either btw), it’s honestly fucking karma for those dozy cunts as they wish injuries like that on our players every week. Hopefully he recovers and gets the big move he wants, iirc bigger teams like Stoke were tracking him.
  4. Aye, I think he fits the way Howe wants to play better. I’m not ASMs biggest fan fwiw, I think he’s immensely talented but isn’t consistent and can’t shake his desire to skin every single player which can turn the ball over a lot. I always caveat that I’m probably the minority on my feelings towards ASM but I see him as a big fish in a small pond type player where he excels as being the focus of the attack and is basically given a free role where he can do whatever he feels, it works for lower sides but I think sides pushing higher up the table need more disciplined players that play into the system - Grealish is a similar example imo struggling to find his place in the Man City system. I’d love ASM to work out and be a player for us fitting into the system but I just don’t see it, and I see us spending this amount on Gordon as a possible sign Howe thinks likewise. I don’t think ASM will leave this window mind.
  5. The Chelsea spending spree continues. Nearly 100m spent this season on what are essentially back up full backs for them (I assume Chilwell and James are the favored pair when fit).
  6. He’s comfortable on either foot as well. Hard working, rapid, has an accurate shot on him, as well as being an out and out cunt on the pitch, while I’ve personally not rated him when I’ve seen him in the past (not a big sample size) I completely trust our lot so I’m excited to see what he’s like under Howe. His lack of goals/assists have been highlighted by some but he’s playing in a side where he gets fucking no support, they’re rarely high up the field, and they don’t retain the ball well, now he’s in a side that are the complete opposite in every regard. If we play Gordon, Isak and Almiron as a front three a lot of defences are going to have a fucking nightmare against the pace and directness there.
  7. That’s a massive assumption like. A lot of managers wouldn’t put up with that. Again I think you’re putting far and away too much emphasis on peoples fears players get injured. It’s also you just assuming it’s the norm, there’s nothing I’ve seen about that but I have seen plenty players play games in January while a sale seems close. Agree to disagree I suppose but I don’t think it’s any indication whatsoever.
  8. I look forward to hearing how our next match is a turgid backs to the wall display after sitting through a game where they did exactly that about a side they derided as being shite and told everyone they’d dominate. Fucking plums.
  9. I know, I’m saying I disagree with that logic. Why would Rodgers, a manager that’s somewhat clinging onto his job care? He’s going to put out the best side he can, he won’t want rid of Maddison and Tete and Harrison would be a downgrade, so to me his only thinking would be winning now managing the side he has and not worrying about an injury to a player who may or may not be sold. Harrison played today as well, I’m pretty sure Trippier played the day or so before he signed for us. Fwiw I think us signing Maddison is unlikely, I can see us either being done or signing a youth prospect but my point is Rodgers playing him today is no bearing on whether Maddison is going or not.
  10. Two of these are flukey wins against a shit Fulham side, one of them is a free flowing Sunderland side proving can beat anyone in the PL totally not scoring against the run of play. Who the fuck are half these Fulham players btw
  11. It’s weird, when we played Fulham they didn’t look like this they seemed to be a team on the back foot who could barely touch the ball, whereas in this one they’ve got 70% possession and are camped out to a team playing spoiler defending deep. It’s really odd, I wonder why this is as if you read RTG Fulham are absolutely wank and the mackems are the best free flowing attacking side in Europe.
  12. Since there’s fuck all on I put this one on. They took their goal well in a good counter attack tbf, still waiting for their free flowing attacking football that they all claim they play mind as so far they’re sitting deep as Fulham dominate possession.
  13. While I don’t think we will sign Maddison I don’t see this logic at all. Even if there is discussions taking place why would he weaken his side because of a possible deal? People in football aren’t as panicked about injuries as that. Plus I don’t think Rodgers would have been massively worried if a deal fell through anyway.
  14. There’s rumours kicking around that Leicester are close to signing Tete and Jack Harrison, so possibly related to Maddison leaving but who knows. I think Gordon and Maddison coming in would be a fucking ridiculous transfer window by us.
  15. Ignoring the fact the thick cunts are just making up incorrect fees, why is it “brilliant” regardless of what we “overpaid”? We can pay whatever the fuck we want for players now, it’s not like we have owners that will only give the club a certain amount to spend.
  16. I think Gordon will play a lot over the rest of the season, likely on the left side. He’s a target we’ve clearly been tracking since the summer but the price was too high then, all of our long term/well scouted targets have hit so far which makes me trust that Gordon will be a good fit. Like anyone I don’t want to really judge him based on the performances I’ve seen because I think Lampard is a fucking joke of a manager, it’s like rating the players under Bruce tbf - so I’m happy to wait and see how he does for us but I’m excited we’ve brought another player in. I don’t give a flying fuck what the Everton fans opinions are on him tbh.
  17. Sky committing to it too so looks to be done.
  18. Dyche would probably be a good appointment for them, he’s the level of manager that suits Everton imo a bottom half PL manager for a bottom half PL side. They’ve been pretending they’re something else with some recent managers who still barely could get them into the top half so it’s nice to see they’re getting an appropriate manager, the same way Allardyce and Martinez suited them. Hopefully they go down as it’s more than needed for that club, their fans for whatever reason think they’ve been relevant in the PL era simply because they hung around the league, hopefully they stay down for a good while too but I’d assume their owners will carry on pumping shit loads of money into their club as they’ve done for years now. It would be best if they got a new owner like Ashley once they went down as similar to Dyche that’s the type of owner that second rate community club should have.
  19. I think it’ll be new contract or hair colour aye.
  20. I honestly hope some of them are taking the fucking piss but sadly I don’t think they are.
  21. Apparently they’d demanded he turn up today after trying to cover for it the first day or so. There’s a good chance he was promised a move after the summer and Everton now trying to play hardball again with a good offer on the table is forcing his hand.
  22. Two sides with fucking mountains of cash and pull, who could go after and possibly sign a ton of players in football have chosen to go after Anthony Gordon - at some point maybe they should think he might actually be decent? They can dress it up in their head that he’s similar to Watmore or whatever shite player they thought showed form but the thing is no one ever come in for him. He’s Evertons best performing player over the last two seasons, as much of a basket case as Everton are they’re still miles ahead of the mackems. Additionally the geniuses that are slating Gordon also wrote pages and pages about how shite Botman, Burn, Trippier, Pope, Guimeraes, and Isak were.
  23. I love how much we are getting under people’s skin. Everton are welcome to this bigger club than Newcastle if it means something to them but sorry Jordan’s points are shite, the won things argument is decent but the counter point is the last time they won anything was 27 years ago? So basically any active player that remembers them winning it will be close to retirement, so let’s not pretend they’re overflowing with silverware. The whole “never been relegated” stuff is completely overstated, in that time in the PL they’ve achieved nothing they’ve finished 4th once and other than that have had a couple of spells in the Europe League, just loitering around the league doesn’t make them big. The point about our owners is weird, as that applies to every club in the league you’re whinging about fans saying they identify with their club again not about Newcastle. As I say I’m not bothered who is bigger, it’s irrelevant. To any current footballer we are the bigger draw and that’s what matters.
  24. This is literally the type of thing managers come out with when playing top sides, essentially saying they’re simply too good for us to deal with but we tried to stay in the game. We’re obviously really shit though.
