  1. Aye no point repeating that he's going to leave after 1 game for us. People kept saying that about Cabaye and aye he's gone now but we had him a while. All clubs sell, even the clubs he listed cant hold onto certain players. Yes we are a club that is buying players to sell on, but let's just enjoy watching them while they're here rather than moaning about how they'll leave. It's like going on holiday for a week and going "yeah but this time next week I'll be sat at my desk" the whole time.
  2. He's like fucking rainman about the mackems attendances.
  3. He does come across as a staggeringly boring man, you could probably take most the tweets from that boring James Milner and they'd apply perfectly to him as well.
  4. Honestly man he's getting worse. I don't think I'll ever forget that reaction to scoring against Cardiff at the end of last season, possibly the worst reading of the fans mood in the history of the club, Gotze had a lesser reaction to scoring the world cup winning goal ffs.
  5. Taylor is fucking dogshit, his positioning is woeful, he still attempts those heavy lunging challenges to get a reaction from the crowd. His pointing does my head in as well, especially when it is clearly the man he is supposed to be marking. Agree with Fish Williamson is an average defender and Taylor is below average now, I really think he has got worse in recent years as well.
  6. Steven Taylor was loaned out as well as a youngster iirc.
  7. Should just pack the CL in for the year tbh, what's the point?
  8. Aye, that's it like if they had just carried the stripes all the way up rather than have that random black patch on the chest it'd probably be the best kit Puma have done for us. Instead it's lifting and like HMHM says I think it looks worse on the players then the image Tom posted. The Puma stuff is utter charva shite like.
  9. I remember Rodwell being pretty well rated when he was at Everton but the money Man City paid being a bit of a joke, 3 years of playing in the reserves and sitting in the physio room and the mackems have paid a similar price for him. He struggles for fitness tbh, I seen a lot of them saying the old "if we can keep him fit" which isn't what you want to be saying about a 10m player. That list of Premiership winners by the way
  10. Figured as much, aye it's not like they're saying owt outlandish.
  11. http://www.goal.com/en-gh/news/4398/transfer-zone/2014/08/01/4997542/newcastle-close-in-on-ferreyra No idea on how reliable this site is but 2m loan fee with an 8m clause to sign permanently would be cracking, it also says Colocinni helped sway his decision. No idea how they'd know any of this mind and there's no quotes so handful of salt needed with this one.
  12. If that come off as well it'll be the most excited I've been going into a season for years. Having Remy and Cisse as experienced proven scorers with Riviere, Ferreyra and Perez as young backups will be the most depth in the forward line we've had in yonks.
  13. I've no problem with Williamson being back up as he can be competent for spells alongside a more composed CB like Colo (possibly Mbiwa too if he is given a good run), but I don't want to see him being the starter which at the moment he is as Mbiwa and Colo are too similar and Taylor is Taylor. I'd love to see one of the younger lads make a step up but the ones people seem to rate, like Satka, seem young, unless that lad Good gets a chance to play a few games can't be any worse than Dummett was last season.
  14. Agreed, loan deal with an option to buy would be perfect in this instance.
  15. Is it for 4m Aimaad? Remember reading that when they were being linked this morning.
  16. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G1m5xrlBHRs Fox News "debate" lead by one of the biggest bellends on that "news station", oh dear .
  17. To be fair they'd probably live in Newcastle like most Sunderland and Boro players. We should hoy in an 8m bid, I think that site would implode if we did bid.
  18. No we're not but we are a little more than last season since Cabella can play across the forward positions and De Jong is also capable in a few positions. It would be nice to have Grenier in as well as another striker and CB, but I dont hold out much hope of that.
  19. Agreed on all points, can't remember exactly but iirc Cabella got 14 last season. French league I know but still he's a fret, and Pardew clearly sees Siem De Jong as a goal scorer seeing as he refers to him as a striker. Losing Cabaye was obviously a blow but bringing these two in has given us a bit of flexibility in midfield and less reliance on a sole outlet. That list of teams man, looking at their squads and performances the league is full of shite.
  20. I don't buy footy tops, especially not the bamp fare Puma put out. Just seems an odd way to put out the shirt.
  21. Are they going to bother releasing our home top? or are we just going to play in the away one. They seem to do this every year now, we've all seen exactly what it looks like by the time they have an unveiling a week before they play in it, odd way of doing it iyam. They used to show the home kit last game of the season and then release it so bairns could have it on their hols but now they do it with the away kit, I'd have thought they would sell more home kits.
  22. Aye, especially with the Southampton fire sale that's another team that will probably be below us. I really want us to sign another striker but if we don't I still see us being midtable, Riviere will probably get 6-8 goals (basing that on absolutely nowt mind, just setting the bar lowish for my expectation of him) and Cisse will hopefully have a bit more life about him when he returns with the variety of service he'll be getting. I think they'll start trying to bring a striker in on loan again towards the end of the window if they don't buy.
  23. Aye he's a right sack like. It's the way he happily discusses other teams players that has always bothered me.
