  1. Agreed, loan deal with an option to buy would be perfect in this instance.
  2. Is it for 4m Aimaad? Remember reading that when they were being linked this morning.
  3. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G1m5xrlBHRs Fox News "debate" lead by one of the biggest bellends on that "news station", oh dear .
  4. To be fair they'd probably live in Newcastle like most Sunderland and Boro players. We should hoy in an 8m bid, I think that site would implode if we did bid.
  5. No we're not but we are a little more than last season since Cabella can play across the forward positions and De Jong is also capable in a few positions. It would be nice to have Grenier in as well as another striker and CB, but I dont hold out much hope of that.
  6. Agreed on all points, can't remember exactly but iirc Cabella got 14 last season. French league I know but still he's a fret, and Pardew clearly sees Siem De Jong as a goal scorer seeing as he refers to him as a striker. Losing Cabaye was obviously a blow but bringing these two in has given us a bit of flexibility in midfield and less reliance on a sole outlet. That list of teams man, looking at their squads and performances the league is full of shite.
  7. I don't buy footy tops, especially not the bamp fare Puma put out. Just seems an odd way to put out the shirt.
  8. Are they going to bother releasing our home top? or are we just going to play in the away one. They seem to do this every year now, we've all seen exactly what it looks like by the time they have an unveiling a week before they play in it, odd way of doing it iyam. They used to show the home kit last game of the season and then release it so bairns could have it on their hols but now they do it with the away kit, I'd have thought they would sell more home kits.
  9. Aye, especially with the Southampton fire sale that's another team that will probably be below us. I really want us to sign another striker but if we don't I still see us being midtable, Riviere will probably get 6-8 goals (basing that on absolutely nowt mind, just setting the bar lowish for my expectation of him) and Cisse will hopefully have a bit more life about him when he returns with the variety of service he'll be getting. I think they'll start trying to bring a striker in on loan again towards the end of the window if they don't buy.
  10. Aye he's a right sack like. It's the way he happily discusses other teams players that has always bothered me.
  11. Aye I guess that's their plan. Read an article the other day about a young full back who will be Shaw's replacement, meant to be very capable but still chucking in a load of youngsters in to premiership games would make me a bit nervous if I was a Southampton fan. Mind saying all that it's worked for them in the past with Shaw, Ward-Prowse etc.
  12. 16m and only played around 25 prem games. He does look good mind. Who the fuck are they going to field this season? I haven't seen them making too many moves of their own, just Tadic to replace Lallana and Pelle to replace Lambert. Rodriguez, Schneiderlin and Osvaldo all linked with moves away as well, I know they were struggling financially but they have to say enough is enough sometime soon surely.
  13. Agreed, we've not got a really strong cb now tbh. In previous years Colo definitely was but last year he wasn't looking his best, hopefully he comes back into form. We really need a CB, cover at full back and at least 1 striker.
  14. This, whack in a goal bonus and a release clause above what we paid for him and he'll have ample motivation. We know he can score and with the lads we've brought in he'd get plenty of chances.

Did he really just compare himself to Gazza? What a fucking cock.
  16. Lovren set for a medical at Liverpool and Chambers signing for Arsenal, £20m and £16m respectively. Southampton have raked in a tremendous amount of money but it seems pretty mental they've let all these players go in one window.
  17. It's also a bit ropey using those stats in comparison with Arsenal, yes they attempt a similar amount of long passes but they also have a significantly higher amount of passes per game then us. We sit at around 14% of our passes being long ball compared with Arsenals 10%, from what it looks like we're about middle of the road and play a mix. I feel CSD is right about the difference in long ball as a lot of ours do come from Williamson which bypass the midfield and often fail which is frustrating and stands out more, but I think when the ball is played to midfield we tend to keep it on the deck more.
  18. Struggling to renew all them season tickets eh Alan.
  19. Aye that is the odd think about Barton, for a bloke that has had as many chances as he has he doesn't give anyone else a break.
  20. That fucking denpressure man. The signal molecules might freeze if they get too close to the ice dome n'aaarl
  21. I love that Barton thinks he's some fucking scholar now, you're still the same bloke who stubs cigarettes out in kids eyes and assaults 17 year olds Joey. Lived in France for a season and likes to act like he's got his finger on the pulse of French culture in all. Think he even proclaimed himself a Marseilles legend on a recent facebook post too. I had time for him but he's becoming completely unbearable now.
  22. I reckon Cabella and De Jong will chip in more goals then our midfield last season (Cabella scored a decent amount in a poor montpellier team didn't he?), my fear is they seem to be hoping Riviere can carry us through until Cisse recovers. I think Cisse will probably look better as he'll have a greater variety of service than he had last year, but he's out for a while. My main worry is the centre backs, Colo looked tired at times last year and I can't see him playing week in week out which leaves us down to Willo and Taylor. Both can be decent (especially Willo) when alongside a decent CB but together is worrying. Of course they could move Janmaat inside but we're not exactly flush with full backs and I'd rather not see Dummett.
  23. What the fuck is the point in loaning him out then paying a sizable portion of his wages ffs. They should just keep him or sell him and bring someone else in (personally would prefer they kept him), unless they think if he goes and performs well in France he'd command a bigger fee then atm. Wank idea either way.
