  1. Fully agree, the times he has really looked poor is when he has tried to take too much on (normally when Cabaye was injured), most of the time he keeps it simple and just moves the ball onto someone else after breaking up play. He does make mistakes but I think he gets dealt a bad hand many times with other players failing to cover or make themselves open, like you say Tiote always shows for it even when he is having a bad game. We're a far far weaker team defensively without him, he'd be a tough one to replace for us and I'd really fear that they'd just put Anita in there.
  2. Spot on. I have no faith in Pardew or his tactics to turn around a slump that goes back far into last season, new players I know but the problem is Pardew is basically going to be relying on pieces of individual brilliance from Cabella, De Jong and Sissoko rather than a working system. Riviere looks like a lad who wants a strike partner tbh, he's big, powerful and brave in the air but he hasn't appeared to be thriving in his isolated role in the albeit small sample of games so far, De Jong will probably come in and help him a bit in that respect but it'd be better if there was a pure finisher like Ba alongside him. I don't have much fear of us getting relegated really, I think we'll grind out enough close results to keep us in and around mid table and it'll be as enthralling as it sounds.
  3. Is that you posting that on their forum CSD? If it is I love the "mag mate sent me this" really helps sell the post to them. They've been comparing the two since they signed the fucker and are now moaning about a comparison between the two because it's unfavourable for them. Colback is a serviceable player, and from what I've seen of Rodwell he's not much better, certainly not to the degree that they're making it out to be.
  4. Agreed, not sure he should have used this formation when he doesn't really have the players available yet to play it. Ashley Young playing left wing back and that Tylet Blackett lad being on the pitch. Proper snoozefest this like.
  5. Aye Grand Budapest hotel is class, Fiennes was brilliant in it.
  6. Class of 92 (not really a film I know) was canny stuff especially the Scholes bits. American hustle, canny movie adams and lawrence made it even better, I then watched transcendance and monuments men which were both utter shite.
  7. Aye that was just before I boarded my flight today so was a bit cranky. Seeing the result upon landing has done little to lift my mood, bunch of bastards.
  8. Not for 20m like, he's a ok enough player in the awkwardness he causes defences at times but like many have said 20m is laughable.
  9. Villa are absolutely shite if we cant beat that rabble I'll be canny pissed off. I dont expect us to win by much, 1-0 or 2-1 to our lot over the trampy brummy wanks.
  10. Aye no point repeating that he's going to leave after 1 game for us. People kept saying that about Cabaye and aye he's gone now but we had him a while. All clubs sell, even the clubs he listed cant hold onto certain players. Yes we are a club that is buying players to sell on, but let's just enjoy watching them while they're here rather than moaning about how they'll leave. It's like going on holiday for a week and going "yeah but this time next week I'll be sat at my desk" the whole time.
  11. He's like fucking rainman about the mackems attendances.
  12. He does come across as a staggeringly boring man, you could probably take most the tweets from that boring James Milner and they'd apply perfectly to him as well.
  13. Honestly man he's getting worse. I don't think I'll ever forget that reaction to scoring against Cardiff at the end of last season, possibly the worst reading of the fans mood in the history of the club, Gotze had a lesser reaction to scoring the world cup winning goal ffs.
  14. Taylor is fucking dogshit, his positioning is woeful, he still attempts those heavy lunging challenges to get a reaction from the crowd. His pointing does my head in as well, especially when it is clearly the man he is supposed to be marking. Agree with Fish Williamson is an average defender and Taylor is below average now, I really think he has got worse in recent years as well.
  15. Steven Taylor was loaned out as well as a youngster iirc.
  16. Should just pack the CL in for the year tbh, what's the point?
  17. Aye, that's it like if they had just carried the stripes all the way up rather than have that random black patch on the chest it'd probably be the best kit Puma have done for us. Instead it's lifting and like HMHM says I think it looks worse on the players then the image Tom posted. The Puma stuff is utter charva shite like.
  18. I remember Rodwell being pretty well rated when he was at Everton but the money Man City paid being a bit of a joke, 3 years of playing in the reserves and sitting in the physio room and the mackems have paid a similar price for him. He struggles for fitness tbh, I seen a lot of them saying the old "if we can keep him fit" which isn't what you want to be saying about a 10m player. That list of Premiership winners by the way
  19. Figured as much, aye it's not like they're saying owt outlandish.
  20. http://www.goal.com/en-gh/news/4398/transfer-zone/2014/08/01/4997542/newcastle-close-in-on-ferreyra No idea on how reliable this site is but 2m loan fee with an 8m clause to sign permanently would be cracking, it also says Colocinni helped sway his decision. No idea how they'd know any of this mind and there's no quotes so handful of salt needed with this one.
  21. If that come off as well it'll be the most excited I've been going into a season for years. Having Remy and Cisse as experienced proven scorers with Riviere, Ferreyra and Perez as young backups will be the most depth in the forward line we've had in yonks.
  22. I've no problem with Williamson being back up as he can be competent for spells alongside a more composed CB like Colo (possibly Mbiwa too if he is given a good run), but I don't want to see him being the starter which at the moment he is as Mbiwa and Colo are too similar and Taylor is Taylor. I'd love to see one of the younger lads make a step up but the ones people seem to rate, like Satka, seem young, unless that lad Good gets a chance to play a few games can't be any worse than Dummett was last season.
