The best thing about Williamson is he knows his limitations. So that makes him a serviceable back up or a starter for a lower prem side. Taylor likes to think he is far better then he is.

Alan Pardew - Poltroon sacked by a forrin team

That's the one, excellent credentials for being in charge of most of the running of a Premiership football club.- 10610 replies

Alan Pardew - Poltroon sacked by a forrin team
Howay replied to Kid Dynamite's topic in Newcastle Forum
He's not, Ashley is the main problem and has always been. Even if we signed those players Pardew would still be being discussed tbh, the majority don't like his football. Even when we come 5th he tried to defend 1 goal leads from half time against much weaker sides at home etc. I don't think blaming Carr is fair at all, he's doing his job and doing it well. If he had any say in actually signing people we'd have Wilfried Bony up front, with Lacazette, and Grenier behind, Douglas playing CB. Who knows who else he has recommended on his various lists he has given to whoever does the actual bidding. Also he seems to be our only scout, we're possibly the only team in the top two divisions (other then perhaps Blackpool) with 1 scout, it's laughable. Charnley is just an utter puppet and I have serious doubts about how much he actually does, what was his job before taking over Llambias' role? was he the bloke that herded the pressers into the press conference room or some bollocks? Any manager who has had the run Pardew has had since xmas time (regardless of rugs being pulled out) would most probably have been fired, especially after the season he had after finishing 5th.- 10610 replies

Cabaye, Ba on 20 goal a season form, Cisse in 20 goal a season form, Tiote, Colo. Are you know saying he had a shit team when he come 5th? Like Happy face says Hughes took Blackburn to 6th, then had a decent run in the Europa league and a 7th placed finish. Pardew is a shit manager, he had just been sacked from a league one side that had at least 3 players that now play in the premiership in his starting 11 just before we brought him in.- 10610 replies

When was the last time Hughes or Bruce had players anywhere near as talented as Pardew had in the team that finished 5th?- 10610 replies

Aye. Pardew isn't the same level of manager that either Bruce or Hughes are. He doesn't have a clue tactically and just relies on certain players, look how completely clueless he was whenever Cabaye was injured and since Cabaye left. On top of all that like has been repeatedly said the man is an absolute scrotum, he makes Harry Redknapp seem like a top bloke.- 10610 replies

What about before or after that period CT? the football has been fucking fabulous since then hasn't it? and the season before last how was the football on show then? Even when we finished 5th we rarely played interesting football, most were 1-0 ground out bore fests. The most interesting football we played under Pardew was just after he took over for Hughton, but he couldn't sustain that.- 10610 replies

Aye, 40 goals in around 160 league games in France doesn't inspire confidence that he can lead the line. The lad doesn't look like a goal scorer, more like the target man to hold the ball up or knock it on for the goal scorer that we don't have...

Aye and who has also been struggling for any sort of form. A change of manager would bring a lot of difference, we wouldn't play Pardews awful brand of football. We honestly look one of the worst footballing sides every year, I watch Leicester players passing the ball cleanly and putting in good crosses and these are (for the most part) seen as championship level players, meanwhile our side of internationals looks mostly clueless and then go and impress for their respective national sides when they play. I really think he sends them out there with very few instructions. Even then a lot of his instructions seem wank, such as the constant playing a high line against quick opposition which places Colocinni and Williamson in a footrace with Agbonlahor/Walcott/Van Persie etc and has failed time and time again. A new manager most likely wouldn't try and defend a 1 goal half time lead for the entirety of the 2nd half every fucking time we have one, he might also be able to get his team to turn around a result from a losing position. It's getting to the point where I'm not even arsed I just want rid of probably the most dis likable bloke in the Premiership.- 10610 replies

I would counter that Pardew and the crusty sock are both doing a similar job and that is swallowing the jizz their owner fires into them, Pardew does a fantastic job of that imo. Your point still stands though as I think a crusty wank sock draped over a radiator would be a better tactician, motivator and man than Alan Pardew.
-
This club man, how do they expect to not get ripped off for players when they leave it open for the footballing world to see what we need?
-
I think CT's view now is that if you're not top 4 it doesn't matter, but of course it fucking does. You can watch utter shite football like we watched last season or you can watch exciting, interesting football. Under Pardew we have no hope of ever seeing exciting football, no matter what players he has at his disposal.
-
That's class. It would, I think we're under a great deal of risk to get relegated. We just conceded 3 at home to a shite Crystal Palace, we don't look like we have many goals in us. In past seasons our defence looked okay enough to give us narrow leads, it now looks utterly shocking. When Steeeeeeeeeevie Teeeee gets his yearly crippling injury we'll be down to Colo, Williamson and a bunch of 19 year olds who never even featured in pre season. I have extremely little hope for this Ferreyra bloke as Perez seems to be higher up the pecking order, Gabriel Obertan is still getting regular look ins into the side years after he won the tombola prize of a week at a football club. Pardew still thinks Paul Dummett is a football player. That Riviere wasn't prolific in France so I hold little hope of him suddenly making up the gap of Remy's goals. I think we'll be scrapping relegation come January, not a knee jerk reaction just looking at this squad and the manager in charge of it I fail to see how we'll be much higher. I think Leicester look better than us and played 2 up top against Arsenal so even Nigel fucking Pearson is more adventurous then the crusty wank sock we have in charge. Like I said in another thread and others have said in here we'll buy in January when we're inevitably in danger but this time is a bigger gamble for fat boy than it was last time he did this.
-
This surely has to be the end of Pardew, we'll be around the relegation spots as January comes round. Ashley would escape the wrath yet again by sacking Pardew at that point and bringing in a striker and CB. What a boring boring club.
-
What a total and utter fucking disgrace, so now absolute shite excuses for clubs like Hull are more ambitious then us? We've got totally fuck all up top, sorry but that Riviere is shit, I know others are happy to wait on judging him but he looks a million miles from a 15 goal a season striker that has been keeping us up for years. Our defence is an utter shambles and we have a pathetically inept man in charge, I come into this thread to see Ben Arfa has been loaned out to Hull and I felt fuck all and that sums up what Ashley has done to this club.

Fucking hell

That's just shit buys and poor management though, could have happened in any era of football. I understand that the money has changed the game and that a lot of clubs now are run as businesses but I think our ownership and management are among the worst, they flat out refuse to try which is what is really soul destroying. The summer after we finished 5th there wouldn't have been many clubs out there that didn't strengthen at all. Pardew is fucking laughable as a premiership manager. I know you say Pardew may go and it'd be the same but in practice it'd be better for us, we'd get to watch some decent football and hear someone that doesn't come out with excuse after excuse. Even if we were finishing in similar positions that would be an improvement because we're simply not enjoyable to watch, if we win we grind the result out and if we lose we often get humped. Pardew's comments after the game about getting caught up in the crowd pushing for a 4th sum him up, at home to Palace and he wants to just shut it all down and put 11 men behind the ball, aye it was the 88th min and it was probably the right thing to do then but he does that if we're up by 1 at half time ffs.- 10610 replies

How is Man Utd an example of that? They won the league two years ago and have spent over 200m since then, they bought Fellaini for similar money to what Chelsea paid for Fabregas, they've just spent 16m on a bloke that may never play for them due to 3rd party and visa complications.- 10610 replies

Aye good player, surprised they managed to get him would have thought a good amount of sides would have been in for him.
-
Falcao apparently tweeted something about moving to Real Madrid and then took it down, pretty ridiculous front line on that Madrid team now let alone if he goes there.
-
Aye we're poorer simply because we don't have a clinical goalscorer anymore.
-
Agreed, the seemingly low amount of coaching staff we have is also a concern. We're total fucking dross like, just have to hope other teams are shitter than us.
