  1. Aye, it's going to be worth the price of admittance. Should just fuck the game off and allow the fans to play in place of the players.
  2. No clue tbh Andrew, that game sounds a laugh mind. They just hit teams with heavy fines that failed last time but I don't know what they'd do in the sort of situation you're on about. I've been playing a game using the moneyball approach that you posted the other week but I chose Sheffield United, I got them into the Premiership relatively easily with back to back promotions and finished 9th in my first Prem season but didn't sell any players for the mental money that he managed to get despite similar high performances, Che Adams scored 30 for me in the Championship which prompted a 7m bid from QPR but he rejected it. My star finds so far have been this winger called Hernani from Porto that I got for 160k and he's been averaging over a 7 for me in the Prem, worth around 5m now and a striker called Kleber also from Porto reserves and despite 15 goals in the Premier League I got no bids. I've been struggling for goals 2nd season and I was given a decent transfer budget for January, I've tried Chris Woods, Charlie Austin and Babacar all bought for under 800k each and none have worked out over the last 2 years. I sold my star centre back Pablo Insua after my first Prem season for 10.25m to Liverpool and he promptly tore his hammy upon arrival ( serves the pricks right for unsettling him) so it funded a few buys to strengthen the squad which as of December 2017 is: Vinicius Araujo (from Valencia for 1.2m worth 7m) Mohammed Salah (4.3m worth 8.5m) Ryan Mason (3.6m now 9m) Hernani (160k now 5m) Louis Reed (youth player) Joshua Guilavogui (1.2m from Barca B now 6m) Davide Santon (3.6m now 5.5m) Sergi Gomez (2.3m now 7.25m) Eric Matholo (free now 2.6m) Ivan (1.6m now 5.75m) Fernando Pacheco (free from R. Madrid when in Championship, now worth 4.1m) Also Have: Danny Wilson (free, worth 7.5m) Dodo (1.6m worth 2.5m) Andi Weimann (450k worth 1.8m) Josh McEachran (67k worth 400k) Nick Powell (Free now 1.7m) Paul Dummett (600k now 1.6m) Guido Vadala (3.6m now 5m) I also had Lucas Silva from Madrid, bought him for 3m and sold for 15m to Napoli. I have signed a few players for the January window: Mitrovic (6m which is my biggest signing), Corentin Tolisso (3.2m), Munir (2.1m, I didn't need after Mitrovic but saw him for this ridiculous asking price) and Serge Gnabry (3m) Every player in the squad is on less that 22k a week, the only ones that will be on more than that now are Mitrovic and Munir who took 34k and 27k contracts. The club is saying it'll easily manage FFP and projects 160m profit (that's what it says in that FFP report I know it never ends up being that much) and I'm untouchable at the moment. Hoping the new signings can give me an extra bit of quality to get me in the Europa League, I'm surprised at the mental transfer bids some of the other lad that done it managed to receive but I've been accepting any that come in at above their valuation. Ryan Mason is my captain and has been great for me but hasn't received an England call up yet (Delia is managing England and is doing a shit job) despite public pressure over the last 4 squads. The only player that has really survived from the original Sheffield squad besides Louis Reed is John Brayford, he's not really up to the level I want but he actually outperforms his stats and every member of the squad has "thinks John Brayford is a good player" in their information so I'm sure he has great hidden stats. I accepted a job offer from Schalke so have split my game in two (one saved just before I accepted the Schalke position so I can go back to it) as I fancied the challenge of trying to moneyball Bayern out of the title . I think the game has a slight limit on this type of game method mind as anytime I get to a point where the players are mostly regens they always seem to shoot up in price and begin to demand insane wages very quickly, hopefully it's better on this FM as I've not reached that point yet on this one.
  3. Aye I always assumed he was gone for 1 game, as like you say it was two yellows. He does get booked a fair bit so maybe he's reached a number that would give a game ban? more likely that Ryder is wrong mind.
  4. I guess, just seems odd when he's trying to get a move to another club. His prerogative I guess, can't say I wish him well mind he's becoming like N'zogbia in my eyes. Just glad Janmaat's back. He's the one that matters tbh, I'd prefer Dummett playing CB than Williamson anyway.
  5. Aye Brad Jones is fucking tragic. There are a few on that list but I just worry about wages more than anything as with them being free transfers I'm sure they'd be wanting more than we'd offer, unless there's something wrong with them that makes them fail medicals at other clubs of course.
  6. Aye, I'd look at it as how he reacts to adversity and it would worry me if I was thinking about plunging 10m+ into him as well as a 50k a week contract. Tevez was constantly fucked around by Mr Pardew and still just worked hard eventually scoring the goals that kept them up when Pardew was basically forced to play him, and that's a bloke everyone was tipping as a superstar (and clearly eventually went on to fulfill that), meanwhile Sissoko hears a rumour that Arsenal might be interested and decides to start pouting and putting in little to no effort because he's too big time. Would make me wonder how he'd react to a lengthy spell on the bench tbh. Could be completely wrong and he'd suddenly become a class hardworking player but like I say it'd make me think twice as a scout for a big club.
  7. Eeeeee ayyyyyyeeee eeeeee ayyyeeeeee eeeeeee ayyyyyyeee ohhhhhhhhhh Down the Premier Leauge we go When we get to Brighton This is what we'll sing We are Geordies Super Geordies Carver is our King!
  8. He'd struggle like, I think the way he verbally abuses those he's in charge of would mean he wouldn't last long. I do think we'll pick something up but it's more to do with Cisse than owt else and is of course depending on QPR giving similar effort to what they gave in the City game. Totally agree on Sissoko btw. He's getting to the point where it's worth considering dropping him for someone that might actually give some effort (like Abeid) the bloke is being an arsehole and his reaction to our struggles reminds me of alot of the 08/09 team, always makes me laugh how these pricks can moan that we're shite and then stop bothering completely oblivious to the fact that they're part of the problem, thinks he's a Champions League level player ffs .
  9. I think the Ings thing is more that he's a decent English player available on a free for that quota, maybe? If not then I fully agree he's below the level of player they should look at.
  10. Sounds about right, we'd not be able to afford their wages anyway.
  11. Aye, must say Noelie I watched it too and QPR looked horrific. They were barely moving to tackle players a metre from them in the box, if they played like that against us we'd win. Their defence was so wide open that even I'd be able to put through balls through to Perez to run onto, so I'm sure Colback and co could manage one or two. The worry is that they might actually put a bit of effort in against us and give our useless bunch a tough time.
  12. Aye nowt to do with the fact West Brom were getting free headers from every set piece and we had 2 defenders on the pitch.
  13. Aye, all that press about Ings being wanted by Liverpool and Man City seemed to die down. The biggest hurdle we have is I imagine a few of them would be on more than 50k a week and would proba ly want a bit more being a free transfer.
  14. Carver v Ramsey, there's going to be some triffic tactics on show.
  15. It's in the trailer, which like all good trailers nowadays gives you the entire plot.
  16. Aye does look dross tbh, John Connor's the bad guy in it which sort of makes them all pointless doesn't it? The one thing they've been working to save and he turns into a bad guy and comes back in time to kill them all.
  17. Not a shock then, I can sort of see why as a lot of people I know won't bother going to the cinema unless it's one of these big action movies that "you have to see in the Cinema", most are happy to wait for dramas and comedies rather than spend the mental money a cinema trip is.
  18. Saw the new Avengers last night, it was canny enough. Were all the characters a bunch of comedian wannabes last time? I can't remember, as this time they were all trying to crack some Downey Jr style one liners even Spader's robot was in on the action. Scarlett Johansson was worth watching as usual though. The trailers before the movie though, Hollywood is getting lazy as fuck! Star wars, Jurassic world, Terminator and Mad Max I'm sure they'll be canny enough but they're just rebooting 80's franchises rather than trying to do much new.
  19. It's a bit ridiculous how over the top elated he seemed with the performance and result. There was some response from the players I guess and it's the best they've played in a long time but we only managed a draw at home to a team that have fuck all to play for and look like they already have their suitcases packed. It's clear that yet again we're relying on something special from Perez or Cisse to have any hopes of picking up points, just hope QPR and West Ham look as unmotivated as West Brom looked today.
  20. Aye their form is better than ours has been the last 9 games but it's still shit: DDLLLWWLL and I don't give them much of a chance of beating either Spurs or Man Utd or drawing with both. We'll always be more critical of our own side, I'm sure Hull fans are saying they're as good as gone. They just lost to Burnley at home, the teams around us are down there for a reason. If we can play like we played today (not saying it was good just that it resembled football) we'll pick up another point or even nick a win if Cisse starts.
  21. It's worth bearing in mind that Hull are utterly shit, they're as shit as we are. West Ham don't have loads to play for but I'm sure the hungry hippo will want to send us down.
