  1. Aye he's done very well to finally put his stamp on the team, Palace fans can now look forward to this until next November where he'll win a few in a row, enjoy it boys you fully fucking deserve it
  2. Aye, just announcing it off the top of his head. Even included the quotes from that ex-Partizan bloke ffs.
  3. Aye, they buy some shite them two mind.
  4. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/newcastle-united-yet-agree-15-9260719 Lee's on the pulse, shutting it down despite having no information other than his own imagination it would seem.
  5. Fully agree, he's adored by the media for the most part as well which is probably the thing that keeps him relevant, well that and the fact he wont keep his fucking mouth shut about other clubs players. I can't help but feel he can't be too well liked by other managers the way he discusses other players and their contracts openly, the Demba Ba thing being a complete and utter disgrace as he had fuck all to do with the player in any capacity and wasn't even bidding on him yet he was talking about the ins and out of Ba's contract. The money he has spent and all he has is an FA cup, a Johnstones Paint trophy and a couple of lower division titles. One of the most dislikable men in football imo.
  6. Aye what a fucking wanker that bloke is, completely oblivious to the absolute chaos he has caused everywhere he has been. His spending hurt Portsmouth, Southampton and now QPR (maybe Bournemouth too I guess but I don't know enough about them) buying the same blokes that only he rates and whacking them on massive wages, yet all he does is scream about what he could do with even more investment. He'd just go and buy more and more utter shite, bottom of the table and he had fortunes to bring in the team he wanted to build, chuffed that grimy rubber faced scumbag was never our manager.
  7. Aye canny enough record, it's always a risk when looking at records from places like Holland, Belgium, France etc but I agree it's probably less of a risk than Riviere was in that respect but the money makes it a canny gamble as Ashley never throws that sort of money on a player, must have got the go ahead from coach Carvs. Think that ex-Partizan bloke sounds like Ashley's sort of guy as well, think he could be our next Director, doing knee slides over a 20% sell on fee and berating fans who called him a nob for selling their favorite player pointing to the sell on fee, meanwhile he's completely oblivious that the fans don't give a fuck about the 20% and would rather watch the player.
  8. A lot of money to spend on potential considering we have a totally useless coaching staff but it would be nice to see us spend a bit of money and hopefully a sign of things to come this window as our team looks grim.
  9. You know footy is completely fucking mental when a post like this is perfectly on topic on a footy forum.
  10. Aye they've all went from the next coming of Jesus Christ, complete with Che Guevara style t-shirts and posters, to being complete and utter wank in 1 seasons worth of football. The difference being pretty much everyone wanted to just keep Hughton over Pardew when he was appointed anyway and no one, apart from CT, lauded Pardew too highly even after coming 5th most said it was a good accomplishment but saw we relied heavily on two strikers going through purple patches and a largely injury free season so it wouldn't last. If a manager got them to 5th they'd probably rename the stadium after him, build a statue that looks nothing like him and then 8-12 month later announce he's shit and a mag as they saw a picture of him at the cinema in the gate.
  11. Aye, the Ashley being a tight chancer definitely makes me more nervous Carver will be appointed. The thing that is giving me faith that he wont is that Carver has actually been given more than a fair shot and has done as badly as anyone could have possibly expected, he gave Carver a shot when no one else would have and he has fucked it up (even if we avoid relegation the fact we've come this close should be enough) putting Ashley's profitable investment at risk. I still think Carver will be strung out along with Charnley as scapegoats for the season and we'll have the next batch of useless, unqualified pricks to make a mess of next season while Ashley continues to be the problem.
  12. I kna, although from the reports on him we may as well play Darlow there. Probably end up being accurate though wont it, we wont be seeing 10 buys coming through the door in the summer. I can see a window similar to Jan the other year and 6 or so brought in with a few loans to back that up, we'll still end with a squad too thin and glaring talent gaps in certain positions.
  13. Aye it's sad tbh, they've never shut up about us despite having a total dogshit season of their own. Although I suppose this is a fairly standard season for them. They're also conveniently sweeping the fact they're playing a bloke that's charged with being a paedo aside on the ol' moral train. The constant "well you thick cunts booed Pardew out, now you're moaning about Carver" is fucking tragic too btw, for a start Palace fans are starting to grumble about the old silver fox so it wont take much longer of his wank brand of losing football to bring that out of more of them, it's also ridiculous to say 'you booed your shit manager out after he went on a horrific 12 month stretch and left to quadruple his pay so therefore you can't moan about his replacement' no one would have picked him as a replacement ffs, Ashley is the only one.
  14. I don't fancy Darlow covering CB mind Fish So the grand plan is to loan a bunch of 19 year olds and pray one or two of them come off like Perez did? Sounds about as well thought out as any other Ashley plan tbh.
  15. Sure. Why not. One of the shittest possible runs on a squad ever , wish it was more like the Leeds one. I think Austin and Fer are about the only ones worth the bother but I completely agree that Austin would definitely pick Southampton over us. The other problem with these QPR players is they're all on fucking mental contracts, I think that Nedum Onhoua was on 50k or 60k a week so I cant imagine what a good player like Fer would be on. That George Boyd from Burnley has looked a canny player anytime I've seen him play, I'm sure they'd try to keep him but maybe worth a bid.
  16. Kenny Dalglish, Landon Donovan and Brooklyn Beckham thanks for that Fish. Oh btw it's Yaya Toure's birthday today, hope he got his cake
  17. Aye I agree, it's crackers that a bloke like him is in the position he's in. The most troubling thing is he's only in that position due to being underpaid for his position and that he's fully happy to do it for that pay while feeding the fanbase Ashley's bilge. I think it's getting utterly ridiculous now as even the daftest fans are switched on to the clubs shit enough to see through every statement they make, when they used to lap up the clubs promises. The club is fucking rank and has been thoroughly cheapened out from top to bottom and it's thoroughly depressing. It's always odd just how fucking cheap Ashley is, he could quite easily appoint a Moyes level manager for 2m a year or so and a capable, intelligent Director that actually aids in seeking out talented, young players, we'd wipe out their wages by finishing 2 or so places higher in the table ffs. We could then be confident in survival, have a competitive squad and always buy from a position of strength but no, he'll just be a fat cheap wanker and try to skate by with completely unqualified staff. The biggest question is why even have Charnley? what's the point? The club rarely comes out with statements, unless of course there is some slight against the owners trampy shops, so why not have a secretary do them and then wheel Beardsley/Moncur/Carver or some other bloke that's under Ashley's thumb to put their name to it? Hell he could just get a bloke that works for him at sports direct to call Ryder up and feed him the bullshit, I'm sure Ryder would drag his balls through broken glass to have something like that given to him. In short he's just a fat blob in a suit and It would be no surprise whatsoever if he was made to be the fall guy along with Carver at the end of the season and some other completely unqualified winnet that Ashley knows is wheeled in to completely avoid signing the players we need.
  18. Aye Elliot is dogshit but he'd probably want more money than Elliot. I definitely agree we need to upgrade the goalkeeping position as I think Krul needs to be pushed a bit more as you said earlier, hopefully Darlow can do some of that but from last I heard he wasn't great (I've not seen the lad play), I'd love to see the back of Elliot either way mind as I think he was a Pardew lackey and he seems like a total bellend.
  19. Aye crackers tbh, Dummett has actually been good due to his versatility. I'm glad I kept a save from before I took over Schalke as I'm starting to miss my Sheff Utd game after writing that!
  20. Meanwhile Carver, Taylor and Stone are chilling out:
