bobble headed cunt. Genuinely hope they slip and lose the title.

I’m not going to look for the thread that is the source of the definitely true Partizan Belgrade story, but I’d be fairly fucking confident that it’s been generated off the back of Mitrovic’s comments after their comfortable loss to Fulham, as some type of “eeeeez a weird cunt marra all Partizan fans are actually lads fans they hate the mags” even though I’m pretty certain NUFC won’t enter the thoughts of Partizan Belgrade fans unless we are directly referenced. It’s so transparent how they come up with these ludicrous fables. I was at that game fwiw, it was cold and fairly pricy iirc, plus it was a qualifying round. Who gives a fuck what the attendance was though?

Same as this tweet, they really don’t understand when they look like absolute fucking gimps. Special note for bringing up a bloke they care so dearly about yet they don’t even know his actual name btw

Aye I thought this too, who the fuck is going to pay a massive sum for a Ligue Un side? Either way this has no effect on us, all the people wanking off about how Manchester United will spend loads seem to have forgotten they’ve already spent more than everyone in the league anyway basically. I’m still not entirely sure any of it is true tbh, it seems a bit weird for one of these type of buyers paying vast sums for an established side - it just doesn’t fit with the normal profile, unless of course they just want to own one of those profile of clubs rather than making one but they lose out on the credit which is what seemingly draws them in. -
Mackems really do think they’re Barcelona or something

Imagine running an “agenda” account for a club that have without a shadow of doubt constantly received favor. Feeling hard done by as a Manchester United fan is like Elon Musk joining in a conversation about not having much in the bank before pay day, fucking ridiculous. Hopefully we see them pulling out the Norwich clobber and whinging again soon. When do these idiots expect the fixtures to be played? It’s like when Klopp whines on, if you’re in four competitions at this stage in the season you will be playing a lot of games and often that’s why not many teams are generally involved on this many fronts at this point. Fucking idiots.

Aye, we’re already seeing a weird backlash about Dan Burn on twitter which is absurd. I think whatever way we go from here the season has been a massive success, it’s almost certain we finish in the top 8 and have a final appearance under our belt - it would of course be disappointing to end runners up in a cup and outside the European spots given the position we are in but it’s still a massive fucking success.

I’ll defer to whoever is tracking that, as what I see from him is a lot of low quality chances generated, or opportunities to create being passed up. A lot of his stats were inflated to a degree because of the Bruce era where he was the focal - same as Defoe at the mackems. Which is why I’m fine if there’s a drop off in terms of chances generated from him volume wise, my issue is the quality isn’t there when I watch as his final ball tends to be lacking. He’s always had potential, but as I say I just feel like he skips past his man and rather than utilize the advantage created he keeps dribbling. We shall see I suppose. As I’ve said though I feel our main issue at the moment is we’re not the aggressive shit houses we have been. We generated so many turnovers high up the pitch which gave us opportunities but that’s massively dropped off. I agree with your other factor as well that teams are sitting off us as well, we’re no longer seen as a chance at 3 points but one of the teams you target a point from - that’s where it was a shame we couldn’t get a Maddison in who would help break lines but I understand the deal just wasn’t there. Whatever the path forward is I just hope we can figure it out soon as it’s a crucial few weeks.

Nothing would make me happier than being wrong about him. He comes across as a good bloke and I have a lot of fond memories watching him play, but on the flip side he’s extremely frustrating and it seems like it’s never going to work in this system. If the Fish is correct and there’s a way to blend him into our system without losing what got us here then I hope we do it and it works, but I’m far from convinced it’s doable.

The issue is his strengths have to come at the detriment of our system, we haven’t got the quality throughout the side to accommodate a player that doesn’t help the press. Pressing from the front and turnovers high up the pitch has been our bread and butter all season, this is something Murphy is good at which is why I highlighted him - if everyone was fit I’d play Gordon there but I’m anticipating Willock is out. ASM does create a lot of these stats, but what is the quality like on these? As when we watch the games he’s not putting in high quality crosses that give his teammates a good chance at the ball, or setting up brilliant shooting chances. His main issue for me is that he doesn’t do enough of that, he often beats a man or two which is the difference he has over many but rather than utilize that advantage created and set up a team mate he continues his run and it ends up fizzling out. It seems like he generates quantity rather than quality.

We shouldn’t change the approach that has got us to a final and 4th place to try and get more out of a player that has always been what he is. Our main issue for me is we aren’t playing the aggressive style that’s got us here, our performances have lacked bite as our lot look nervous to risk missing the final. ASM isn’t the difference maker he’s made out to be tbh, our fans look for anything as proof he is just as CT is doing with his involvement at the weekend - he deserves credit for his hand in the goal but the goal was made by Longstaffs fantastic run. Even Fish saying “beat a couple of players, turn on a sixpence, and drop a perfect cross on a strikers head” I think implying this is something ASM does? It’s something he’s done maybe once in his years in our team. His recent goal involvements have come when he is doing what he’s meant to do in the system. We shouldn’t change all we have been doing to try and accommodate a bloke that doesn’t have the impact he’s made out by some, losing a player from our press isn’t something we can do and it’ll impact our overall performances negatively. Murphy is the better option, he’s direct and while he spoons chances it’s not like ASM isn’t also fucking hopeless at finishing, Murphy also plays the way we need a player in that position to play and helps our press.
