Seems a bit odd and hard to believe that he suddenly wants the club to start trying after 8 years. Maybe he finally wants some enjoyment out of his investment, maybe it could be because he has seen his previous policies putting the club in serious risk of falling off the gravy train and sees that a little more investment is needed or maybe it's all complete and utter bullshit, the fact is action has to be taken hopefully more than the minimum is or we'll just see this season play out again in a year or two. I'll believe it when it happens as Ashley has burnt us all far too many times with his complete bullshit. Edit: I also hope this means they pack in trying to move Cisse on.

Laudrup plays a canny brand of football but I doubt he'd get on well with Ashley. Carvs wants it but I can't imagine anyone wants him to have it. I'd like to see Clement tbh as he's an unknown quantity in the top job so it would be an interesting appointment, I wouldn't have any grumbles with McClaren as he's a step up from Pardew for me, Carver can fuck right off and I just can't see Laudrup getting along with Ashley.

Aye I think he'd have set his sights on getting us up before he had any intention of selling again, so we'd be in basically the position we are now minus the year (or years) in the Championship. You have to find some enjoyment from somewhere Mako otherwise what's the point? People enjoyed Jonas' winner, the fact we're staying in the Premier League and that we finished above the mackems (much to their irritation), aye it's probably about the best we can hope for because this fat cunt owner has done his best to ruin the fun of supporting the club for everyone but if I found no enjoyment from yesterday (like I'm assuming you didn't) then why bother? We just have to hope that we see some level of investment during the summer and a capable bloke put in charge that will have the side playing somewhat enjoyable football, then we can hope (and perhaps take action) Ashley will sell and as Straight Edge has said the best chance of that is probably via the Premier League, he'd not even recoup his buying price in the Championship let alone get a profit (like he will probably want) so he wouldn't have bothered until we were back at the top table.

Aye, the bloke's a monumental mug but he loves the club.
