  1. The amount of fucking times they said the club doesn't want to discuss the past is annoying, they didn't want to discuss it as it was happening either. That Vishal bloke speaks entirely in sound bites as well, he seems like he would be a good fit to work at the club.
  2. It's fucking hilarious mind, a blow to all the Liverpool fans that still see themselves alongside Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal and Man City and it's one they aren't handling well.
  3. The politeness of your choking to death.
  4. I used to think he was nowt but an utter liability but in one of the recent cuffings they've given our useless pack of cunts I thought he was the best player on the pitch, I think he's one of them that could be a decent player but the fact he's a fucking lunatic as well as the fact he would rather go out necking pints than be a good professional holds him back.
  5. True detective was good like (also some cracking chebs in it, although that bit didn't last too long), not watched any of the second season but it's a different show really. There's an action scene in it where it's all one take and it's fucking brilliant tbh, quality show. I'm with all the others saying you should give the Wire another shot Gloom it's top television, I wasn't a fan of the second season (that Ziggy twat was horrific) but 3 and 4 are class.
  6. He'd not get a start for Arsenal though, so he wouldn't necessarily jump on it... The major point is that we haven't even had a bid accepted, which is what everyone's frustration is and why I pointed to the Austin point as being daft, the deal not happening so far has nothing to do with Austin's agent being the most laidback agent in the world and everything to do with the fact we simply, yet again, wont stump up the going rate for a target.
  7. Nah, your line of thinking is ridiculous. If we offered good money and got to talk terms with Austin there is no way in hell his agent would tell us to fuck off so "chazz can go enjoy his summer holidays" he's a striker at a Championship club, he may well choose to knock us back in the hope of a club in Europe bidding for him or if we didn't offer him a wage he felt good enough but the point is we're not even offering a fair fee to get his representatives to the negotiating table. Of course the club can just drag its fucking heels and watch him sign for Southampton, another club on the list of teams we can't compete with and there is one major reason we can't.
  8. I really hope he is just fishing for bites mind, especially with that bit about Austin's agent.
  9. Aye there's no excuse for why we haven't signed anyone, there's no World cup or European Championship (other than the U21 one) where the club can point to and say it's because our targets are busy (which is bullshit anyway as players sign for clubs all the time when they're on duty). As Gemmill said we were given a statement that said there would be a change to the clubs flawed transfer policy as it clearly wasn't working, here we are 2 days from July, the squad back preparing for the season and we've seen no movement other than a few rumoured bids which are at least 30% below the players worth according to their club. We need a fair few players to get competitive again and dragging our heels simply means anyone that does come in has little time to adjust, we should have done most of our business by now to give the new players and new staff the most time possible to work together. It's now under 6 weeks until kickoff against Southampton and we're weaker than we were when we narrowly avoided relegation.
  10. Aye offering a low amount when competing with Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs is going to work well. Screams of 'look everyone we were bidding for this level of player, so we tried, just couldn't get it over the line'.
  11. Aye it has been utterly fucking tragic so far. Who is going to coach the players at this point? McClaren, Woodman and I guess some of the youth coaches are going to have to fill in? Haven't shown any urgency whatsoever in the transfer market either, clear now that Ashley's words were a shameless plug to attempt to trick people into buying season tickets up (I know most thought he was full of it at the time anyway). Is Ashley not worried that now that this card has been played they've basically exhausted all of their smoke screens? If people don't bite and buy tickets this time it's only going to keep getting worse, surely he realizes this isn't the most sustainable plan. A modicum of ambition and regular investment into the squad would surely be a better option. We've lost money on Yanga Mbiwa and Santon, they're now attempting to minimize their loss on Cisse (even though doing so puts the squad in even more of a perilous position), so it's clear that the whole 'let's scrape by as far as we can investing only when we have to in order to avoid relegation' isn't the best strategy for improving players sale price. It's also becoming clear that everyone knows how much fucking money is in the Premier League so it's becoming harder to low ball teams. I'm utterly fucking bored of watching this painfully tragic team, they make playing football look extremely hard and even the worst teams in the league regularly play better than them. I was hoping McClaren coming in would mean we could at least look forward to being able to watch a team that knows how to pass a football but clearly the club has no intention to give him a coaching staff let alone players. Fuck Ashley and fuck Charnley.
  12. "They had an attendance of 4,563 people, free tickets, aaaaaaaaaaarghh!"
  13. Didn't want to ruin her new nails. Essembee is top class mind, I guarantee he'll be watching every game he can of the Womens World Cup and he'll be fucking seething at every minute of it. Then he'll go outside and scream at the clouds because one resembles Niall Quinn's face.
  14. Aye if he goes to Chelsea he'll barely play, he seems a more grounded type so I can see him wanting to be a starter somewhere. Not saying we'll get him mind I have complete faith that Charnley will faff about until another club just comes in with a proper bid and he goes there (Soton, West Ham etc), I can't see him going to Chelsea to tick their English player allocation box.
  15. Aye whatever it is they've supposedly changed it's equally ineffective.
  16. Not if you're into metal detecting/dogging.
  17. Aye what would they like to pay? I'm sure the club would be open to whatever it is, they just sold a French International and an Italian International for next to nowt.
  18. Nah I'd rather play in the Premiership tbh, it's fucking hilarious all the same as you know Liverpool fans will have had a thread all about this bloke yapping on about how his family are massive Liverpool fans and he'll be nailed on to sign for them one day.
  19. Tbh it wouldn't totally shock me if McClaren had said he could have the current crop (with maybe one or two or their regular cheap punt singings) back to mid table mediocrity which is similar to telling a normal club you'd have them in the CL.
  20. Surely Charnley deserves a nice holiday? to recharge after that level of action.
  21. They featured in a national milk advert, you can't hope to compete with that national exposure. It's okay though as CT keeps gleefully reminding us the window doesn't slam open until July 1st, it's not like we need to completely overhaul the squad is it? it's not like we also need to replace at least 3 back up players we let leave either...
  22. Can't compete with that sort of initiative, what about Dagenham and Redbridge?
  23. Can't compete with that level of club how many times do you have to be told! when Bournemouth start making moves then we can worry.
