  1. Spot on, what an utter thicket of winnets Palace fans are. They bring back an utter fucking arsehole of a manager disliked for being a completely unprofessional, arrogant prick of a man who they have some cult attraction too because he was one of the many shite players that have played for them in their complete irrelevance of a history, then they buy a bloke two year after he left us re-uniting him with said prick and suddenly they're full of hot air towards us? People point at us and say we've won fuck all and we have to take it off Man Utd, Liverpool etc but I'm not having it off a club like fucking Palace, runners up for the FA cup in 1990 and a third place finish in the top flight in the 1990-91 season and that's the best claims they have? fuck right off, if we're a tin pot club I've no clue what that makes them. Their stadium looks like something Whitley Bay FC would turn their noses up at and they've just made their club record signing at around 10m. Fucking no marks. I'm sure Cabaye will do well there, he's a class player and aye the mercenary tag is probably fair (it's true of basically any footballer now anyway) but at least he performs well. The fact is they've basically overpaid for a bloke who has just about hit his peak, ambitious move aye but still he's not going there because he thinks they'll fulfill his ambition for trophies/European footy or to to showcase his skills on a stage he thinks he'll be seen on for a big move, it's so he is playing regular enough to make a claim to the French team and for a nice pay day before his career comes to a close. Like you say Pardew will base the team around him because it's the only way he has had any success in yonks, it'll be fine while he's playing but if he gets injured or inevitably banned for one of his petulant stamps it'll go back to full on Pardew panic mode and hopefully Championship football (fwiw I don't think they will go down, just would like to see them go down now that the king is there and their fans have developed some odd obsession with us the same way Villa did). They can comment when they've managed at least a game more than the mackems in Europe, macron wearing tramps.
  2. That's no way to talk about his own sister.
  3. See CB wise we're being linked to N'koulou and Matip, we'd be a bit fucked if we get both and Cameroon went and qualified for the Afcon. Would be a good CB partnership aside from the Afcon issue mind.
  4. I hope he's stuck there, they sign no one and are forced to play him. Imagine the clip of the performances he'd put in.
  5. Aye it's cracking, I don't think it has dawned on them that they have absolutely fuck all money and what little they did have was spent keeping Advocaat there as no one of note would come to manage them. They keep posting up pictures of Cabaye to try and annoy any Newcastle fans on there as well, completely ignoring the fact that it should bother them more because Palace have just signed a better CM than they've ever had.
  6. Aye it's class they can't do their usual "ahh he's fucking shite" comments because they spent about 50 pages wanking off over him when the press were linking them with him. The mocking of a 15m fee is also a bit rich considering they paid 10m for shite like Jack Rodwell and are trying to exploit a get out clause to avoid paying 8m for some knacker from Inter Milan.
  7. Hopefully that will replace the chicken dance as the mackems least favorite celebration.
  8. Spot on, tied down for what should be his peak years (29,30,31). Athleticism isn't really the biggest part of his game and he seems to be a good pro so I see no reason he couldn't be performing at a high level till 33/34. There's nothing wrong with spending this sort of cash on occasion especially with the new TV deal, not sure how people can laugh at them for spending 12m and 100k a week on a proven class player who massively improves their side while our lot haven't signed anyone at all (Palace now also have a far better Central midfielder than we have on the books). To be honest getting Cabaye back would have been the exact sort of signing that would have lent some credibility to fatty's pre-game speech, instead they're still waffling on about finding the right deal on our terms.
  9. The amount of fucking times they said the club doesn't want to discuss the past is annoying, they didn't want to discuss it as it was happening either. That Vishal bloke speaks entirely in sound bites as well, he seems like he would be a good fit to work at the club.
  10. It's fucking hilarious mind, a blow to all the Liverpool fans that still see themselves alongside Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal and Man City and it's one they aren't handling well.
  11. The politeness of your choking to death.
  12. I used to think he was nowt but an utter liability but in one of the recent cuffings they've given our useless pack of cunts I thought he was the best player on the pitch, I think he's one of them that could be a decent player but the fact he's a fucking lunatic as well as the fact he would rather go out necking pints than be a good professional holds him back.
  13. True detective was good like (also some cracking chebs in it, although that bit didn't last too long), not watched any of the second season but it's a different show really. There's an action scene in it where it's all one take and it's fucking brilliant tbh, quality show. I'm with all the others saying you should give the Wire another shot Gloom it's top television, I wasn't a fan of the second season (that Ziggy twat was horrific) but 3 and 4 are class.
  14. He'd not get a start for Arsenal though, so he wouldn't necessarily jump on it... The major point is that we haven't even had a bid accepted, which is what everyone's frustration is and why I pointed to the Austin point as being daft, the deal not happening so far has nothing to do with Austin's agent being the most laidback agent in the world and everything to do with the fact we simply, yet again, wont stump up the going rate for a target.
  15. Nah, your line of thinking is ridiculous. If we offered good money and got to talk terms with Austin there is no way in hell his agent would tell us to fuck off so "chazz can go enjoy his summer holidays" he's a striker at a Championship club, he may well choose to knock us back in the hope of a club in Europe bidding for him or if we didn't offer him a wage he felt good enough but the point is we're not even offering a fair fee to get his representatives to the negotiating table. Of course the club can just drag its fucking heels and watch him sign for Southampton, another club on the list of teams we can't compete with and there is one major reason we can't.
  16. I really hope he is just fishing for bites mind, especially with that bit about Austin's agent.
  17. Aye there's no excuse for why we haven't signed anyone, there's no World cup or European Championship (other than the U21 one) where the club can point to and say it's because our targets are busy (which is bullshit anyway as players sign for clubs all the time when they're on duty). As Gemmill said we were given a statement that said there would be a change to the clubs flawed transfer policy as it clearly wasn't working, here we are 2 days from July, the squad back preparing for the season and we've seen no movement other than a few rumoured bids which are at least 30% below the players worth according to their club. We need a fair few players to get competitive again and dragging our heels simply means anyone that does come in has little time to adjust, we should have done most of our business by now to give the new players and new staff the most time possible to work together. It's now under 6 weeks until kickoff against Southampton and we're weaker than we were when we narrowly avoided relegation.
  18. Aye offering a low amount when competing with Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs is going to work well. Screams of 'look everyone we were bidding for this level of player, so we tried, just couldn't get it over the line'.
  19. Aye it has been utterly fucking tragic so far. Who is going to coach the players at this point? McClaren, Woodman and I guess some of the youth coaches are going to have to fill in? Haven't shown any urgency whatsoever in the transfer market either, clear now that Ashley's words were a shameless plug to attempt to trick people into buying season tickets up (I know most thought he was full of it at the time anyway). Is Ashley not worried that now that this card has been played they've basically exhausted all of their smoke screens? If people don't bite and buy tickets this time it's only going to keep getting worse, surely he realizes this isn't the most sustainable plan. A modicum of ambition and regular investment into the squad would surely be a better option. We've lost money on Yanga Mbiwa and Santon, they're now attempting to minimize their loss on Cisse (even though doing so puts the squad in even more of a perilous position), so it's clear that the whole 'let's scrape by as far as we can investing only when we have to in order to avoid relegation' isn't the best strategy for improving players sale price. It's also becoming clear that everyone knows how much fucking money is in the Premier League so it's becoming harder to low ball teams. I'm utterly fucking bored of watching this painfully tragic team, they make playing football look extremely hard and even the worst teams in the league regularly play better than them. I was hoping McClaren coming in would mean we could at least look forward to being able to watch a team that knows how to pass a football but clearly the club has no intention to give him a coaching staff let alone players. Fuck Ashley and fuck Charnley.
  20. "They had an attendance of 4,563 people, free tickets, aaaaaaaaaaarghh!"
  21. Didn't want to ruin her new nails. Essembee is top class mind, I guarantee he'll be watching every game he can of the Womens World Cup and he'll be fucking seething at every minute of it. Then he'll go outside and scream at the clouds because one resembles Niall Quinn's face.
  22. Aye if he goes to Chelsea he'll barely play, he seems a more grounded type so I can see him wanting to be a starter somewhere. Not saying we'll get him mind I have complete faith that Charnley will faff about until another club just comes in with a proper bid and he goes there (Soton, West Ham etc), I can't see him going to Chelsea to tick their English player allocation box.
