  1. Aye right roller coaster of emotions for the Brummy's, might have even made them mumble something the horrific boring wanks.
  2. I fear we'll see a triumphant Ryder article along the lines of "Iron Mike punches down fears of summer departure by signing mega 5 year deal with toon", Lee again completely failing to judge the mood of the room.
  3. Aye they are taking their sweet fucking time, we still need 2 CB's and a striker at the very least.
  4. It was a bit worrying that he seemed to have no sense of balance or strength, I'm willing to give him the benefit of doubt mind as he was regularly drawing 2 or 3 defenders as no one else was making any sort of moves to pull defenders away from him under Carver's brilliant tactics. I think it's a bit harsh to say nothing can be put down to first season syndrome as well, he had a bit of a rough start with Pardew hooking him off 60 mins in anytime he started and regularly just benching him so that lack of consistency would have made the adaptation to the pace of the league harder. He does need to knock the step overs on the head a bit mind.
  5. Aye that in all, the defence were under pressure consistently basically every game since Cabaye left and Pardew chucked the calmer possession game out the window. Williamson humping the ball to the opposition defensive midfielder or centre back and then completely losing his man being the main culprit for that.
  6. Agreed, the lad has been a regular scorer every season he has played. I know only one in the PL but I'd be fairly confident if he can find the net 18 times in a season with the shower of shit that was QPR last season he can do it in a better side. 15m for a 25 year old British player coming off the back of an 18 goal season seems pretty fair in this market, in any case it's not my money and I'd like to see the bloke playing for us so I'd be happy with it. On Haidara I think it's hard to judge our defenders tbh, Williamson is so fucking tragic he makes it difficult for all of them as players have to try and cover players he loses as well as their own man which can often make it seem like it's down to them when really Iron Mike is to blame. I think he's strong, pacy and despite some pretty rough injuries doesn't seem to be scared of putting his foot in, hopefully he can stay injury clear and I think he'll become a decent left back. If we were to go out and buy a good left back I'd be happy but I think we've got far more pressing concerns.
  7. Aye that's fair really. We don't really have a centre back we can rely on atm, unless Colo's performances under McClaren are more like his form of 3/4 seasons ago but even then that's still only 1 cb. Taylor is constantly injured, Williamson is crap and I'd rather ease Lascalles in a bit rather than chucking him in alongside Colo, it could work of course but if he had a few poor performances it could wreck him at the club.
  8. Aye he was a big enough wanker on the radio imagine him at a presser with Ryder.
  9. He seriously needs to give up on his hair now man, just shave it off Steve! It's like the letter C on the top of his nappa the way it curls round.
  10. I'd hope so. I still don't think he'll be coming here anyway, I'm hoping to see more links to defenders tbh. It all seems to have gone quiet over Mitrovic as well.
  11. I'd hope after last nights shambles it is anyway. Must say I can't remember much of Banega other than he sat slightly deep, has a slight similarity to a certain Hugo Viana (with the hair and that anyway) so if he does come I hope it turns out nowt like he did!
  12. I just meant as a deeper CM rather than a direct replacement for whatever the fuck Tiote is these days. I agree that we need to focus on up front and defence more than accruing CM's, especially after last nights reminder of Iron Mike's lack of ability.
  13. They're not doing well today are they.
  14. He was good on FM a few year back and was decent in a few games I saw him play when he was at Valencia but that's about the extent of my knowledge on him. Maybe he's being targeted as a replacement for Tiote? I think you're right though it seems a bit tenuous.

Nah it didn't have sound when I watched the first half.

Lascalles just gave a pen away with a pretty shite tackle and they scored from it. Oh aye the whole this is on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wV9L29NlaGE&feature=youtu.be Toon put the link up on Facebook so it's not a dodgy stream or owt. 2-0 to them after 17 mins, some proper shite defending by our lot.
  17. Aye it's fucking class, I watch it anytime I've got a half hour or so and there's nowt else I can find to chuck on (as I've seen the whole series). Jean-Ralphio and his sister are a right crease and the thing with Parks and rec is it uses characters like that just enough, they knew people liked them two but didn't start making them central characters like some programmes do with the oddball characters that are popular as fringe characters. The lass that plays April and Chris Pratt were brilliant together, in fact all the characters are class tbh.
  18. Agree with this, everyone knows Ashley is the ultimate problem but the fact is people were sick to the back teeth of Pardew and his lack of new ideas which meant nervous, boring, uninspired football. I for one am thrilled that it's very unlikely we will see our team get 3+ goal kickings with the regularity we did under Pardew, we've got someone who is a step above Pardew as a coach and as a bloke. Aye we've still got the same prick owning the club but we'll see a fresh approach tactically at the very least.
  19. The game that he played negatively in aye? Where Pellegrini said: "I felt we played very well, we dominated the game and played like the way I like this team to play. But we're very disappointed with the score. I don't want to analyse the referee's decision. When you do that you're trying to find excuses for your defeat." And King Pards said: "We had some really scary moments and we had to dig in and work hard." And the stats were: Possession: CP - 26% Man City - 74% Shots: CP - 5 Man City - 22 On Target: CP - 3 Man City - 4 Corners: CP - 4 Man City - 13 Good result aye but they played negatively for sure man. The bloke is a complete and utter fucking tosser and Palace isn't the only club besides us that he managed so we can also point to his poor tenures in charge of West Ham (Where he preferred Reo-Coker and Carlton Cole to Mascherano and Tevez), Southampton (where he failed to get a team with players like Adam Lallana, Rickie Lambert etc to League one promotion) and Charlton (got relegated from the Prem, not entirely his fault as he only had just over half a season however he then took favorites for promotion into the Championship relegation spots in 2 seasons). A canny start to his managerial career at Reading got him a bit of a name and a 5th place finish with our lot brought that name back from the knacker yards, but he's a fucking knacker and a thoroughly unlikable bloke.
  20. Aye that Damain helps a lot but they definitely need a CB. FFP is working really well . To be fair to Downing I get the move if all that was interested was lower Prem sides, gets to go back to a place where he'll be a hero and to be fair that Karanka has them playing very well.
