  1. I think Arnautovic is lucky to still be on, his mis-timed challenge on Janmaat could have seen him booked, he then got a booking and I think that shoulder charge was deliberate as he knew he was beaten.
  2. Aye it's really getting worrying how bad we are at creating chances from our long spells of possession. Butland has been canny today but we don't create that many clear cut chances. The Norwich game showed we're effective on the counter but our main game plan is clearly to be a team that controls possession.
  3. Agreed that Shawcross should have been booked, I'm sure he is trying to wind them up intentionally but I'm just worried he's getting awfully close to that line.
  4. Mitro is going to get himself sent off today if he doesn't pack it in, 3rd time he has just shoved someone over. It's a good thing our captain is the sort of bloke that will go over and have a word with him...
  5. Aye good stop from him, Mitro needs to simmer down like he has been getting a bit angry with Shawcross and Wollschied.
  6. Looked just outside the box I thought, either way the fact that Dummett is our best option at left back is worrying.
  7. Chelsea have looked rank, it's class seeing all them cunts in the Chelsea crowd with about 6 gold rings on and a cheap gold chain over their Chelsea top looking miserable as fuck, sadly it wont continue too much longer (much like the Man Utd being shite phase).
  8. He would be class but as Gloom says there's no way Ashley will bother due to his wage demands or his age.
  9. It's an odd one hoying it in there mind, what happens if they get howked 6-0 by us at SJP and then finish 10 places below us in the table. (By the way for any of our six fingered friends reading I am not saying we will win 6-0, however I remember after beating your lot 5-1 Look North asked what the result would be before the derby after that and most mackem responses were along the lines of "weyyll theyuh beat wuh 5-1 last time so ah fink weyyyulll win 6-1 this time cos wuh dead mad" so have a look closer to home next time you rant about our lot being deluded because you see a 32 year old charva who has been out of work for 32 years saying that the toon will be in the Champions League on SSN).
  10. Aye, I agree I expected they'd have knocked the deluded stuff on the head by now especially as no one has been talking about European footy for a few years now (aside from in the season we were in European competition, which I feel is a fair time to be discussing challenging for Euro spots). The top dogs thing is far and away my personal favorite, something they coined and then got pissed off about anytime we come above them. Some of them even kept moving the goal posts on what it meant, 'we finished above the maggie cunts even though we didn't beat them. so we're top dogs FTM' then 'the barcodes may have finished above wuh but we beat them so we're top dogs FTM'. Can't even agree on what their made up title represents.
  11. Aye it's literally what West Ham, Blackburn and some Toon fans said when he first arrived at each club. Like I said in another thread Sunday's game is the best they will play under him and the most enjoyment they will get out of it since it was us they were beating, when they're getting peppered with shots at home to Watford come December 12th they wont be loving it.
  12. On the scarf at the bottom it says "6 victories in a row over Newcastle. The pride of the North East" nice of them to refer to us as that. Also see they have ripped off the Mackem slayer craic. It is embarrassing however it is something I could definitely see our fat wank of an owner doing too, if they start wearing that tat though then I'll be looking down on them.
  13. They always have to try and push it, they've beaten us in 6 derbies in a row now however despite that they've finished below us every season since we came up (trying a well just look at the table after 10 games is again ridiculous). We are shite aye and we have been for a while but despite that they've still managed to be worse (despite taking 6 points a season from us). Bringing up a comparison of the two cities is again an example of the very 'living in our shadow' quote he is moaning about (as well as my comment about them trying to push it), Eldon square would have been the nicest thing in Sunderland and Newcastle still revamped it and modernized it. What I'm saying is they've won 6 in a row and for all we can whinge about ref's etc they've done that, so why not stick to that? why try and push it into areas where you cannot hope to win, they had to make up an intangible factor that they claimed to beat us on not too long ago (the classiness debacle ). The match yesterday gave me more hope for the next derby than I've had from any of the other ones, while not creating loads of chances we dominated the game and I'm going to give McClaren the faith that he can figure that bit out over the next six months.
  14. Aye I think you could be right, I'd like to see him played alongside one of Tiote, Colback or Anita as I worry we're struggling at times to get the ball through to the right areas up top unless Wijnaldum comes deep to collect it. I've not seen enough of the bloke in all honesty due to his injury record but I don't imagine he would struggle that much in a slightly deeper role than he is used too (surely he must be able to contribute more than Colback/Anita there), of course the other option would be to drop Wijnaldum back there but the fact is the bloke looks a level above and his movement in and around the box is way to valuable to play him deeper.
  15. They best hope they don't sit as deep as they did against us first half as not many teams will be as ineffectual at converting that control into chances as we were, however that is Fat Sam's tactics and I don't think the current crop of players they have suit his style very well tbh as they lack height up front and although Brown and O'Shea do have height they're both pretty weak in the air. I just hope we can begin to create more chances from long spells of possession as up to now it is something we seem to struggle with, the Norwich game showed our players can play on the counter very well but the mackem game has shown we're weak when we control the play.
  16. I say let the cunts have this one, it was clear to me after watching that match it's not happening again. Once McClaren has properly got the system he is setting up in place and has another window to strengthen some more weaknesses we'll be even further ahead of them and I doubt we'll see another ridiculous moment that completely alters the game. I know what you lads reading this thread will be thinking 'Ahh well Sam will have his system better entrenched by then too' aye that's right but believe me when I tell you the football you are playing at the moment is the best you will play under Sam. Enjoy you bunch of spanners.
  17. There has definitely been signs of an actual system being put in place, he's just going to need time to make a proper squad (if Ashley will let him). We have showed decent stuff in a handful of games, the squad did go and crumple in some of them but I blame the previous management for that tendency. There was no worry of the Mackems beating us yesterday 11 v 11, if it wasn't for yet another fucking ridiculous moment from captain fantastic we'd have comfortably seen out a 0-0 draw at the worst.
  18. I agree, that is a good part of the reason I detest the cunt we mullered them 5-1 with Hughton's team and since then he struggled to match them. I'm just sick of losing to these fuckers, if they outplayed us and were clearly a better side I would accept it easier but the fact is neither is true.
  19. Unreal that after all the quality sides we have had over the years it is them that hold the record for most consecutive derby wins in a row, another brilliant record toppled during the Ashley regime. A 3-0 loss to that side is shameful, the ref played a big part but we should have had enough to get at least 1 goal ffs.
  20. Aye that we are, we fully deserve relegated. We are seemingly incapable of scoring unless it is on the counter.
