At the moment we look completely fucked, there's still so much of the season to go so I can't write us off completely just yet. Saying that I don't see where the turnaround could come, new players and a new manager didn't really do it in the summer.
-
It's going to be interesting to see the reaction, our lot would lose this 3 or 4-1 now.
-
They have been spawny in recent seasons but I will admit their players often graft for them and rarely throw in the towel. That's one of the most frustrating differences between the two clubs, we have some decent players but they just have no interest at all whereas their team is made up of complete fodder but they put shifts in more often than not.

Newcastle United v Liverpool (6/12/15 16:00 ko Sky)
Howay replied to Haydnator's topic in Newcastle Forum
Spot on, the toon have been a complete joke and fully deserve the drop. I see Villa are beating Southampton away so they're showing some fight, our bunch of losers would go down 3-0 in that sort of fixture. I always thought the 2008/09 crop of players would be the most dis-likable squad we've had but honestly this lot might be overtaking them. They're getting me to the point where I just don't give a fuck, I almost want them to just go down since it'll cost Ashley and it's not like staying in the Premiership is any good for us fans is it? I fully expect we'll see effort from the players tomorrow and then we'll either see a 'surprising' close match where we lose 2-0 or so (embarrassing that 2-0 seems like a really close loss nowadays) or the floodgates will open after the first and it'll be embarrassing (like the City game). I actually thought we were playing today which shows how apathetic I've gotten to this thoroughly dis-likable crop of players and mangled mess of a club. It's nothing short of a disgrace that clubs like Swansea, Southampton and probably now Leicester are really streaks ahead of us now. I still think the most sickening part is when you hear other Newcastle fans say utter shite about how we can't afford certain players and it's fair enough before we see teams like fucking Swansea pick them up (Bony, Gomis, Ayew etc), I'm always amazed that there are still people that are Newcastle fans that stand up for Ashley. -
I watched Jurassic World the other night, thought it was a complete pile of shite. That Chris Pratt is normally good in stuff but even he looked awkward with the horrific dialogue he was given, I'm just pleased we didn't go to see it at the cinema but sadly we paid $5 for the on demand on the telly as I couldn't be arsed to download it.

Generic small time football blather thread 2015/16
Howay replied to The Fish's topic in Newcastle Forum
It would just mean longer group stages in order to accommodate more teams that have absolutely fuck all chance of winning. The real reasons will be the same as always mind, money in the pockets of Blatters crew plus the votes and loyalty of smaller nations whose votes carry the same weight as countries like Brazil etc. -

Aye it'll be utterly fucking shite. I can't see it helping the world cup at all even from a viewership standpoint, saying that it's probably just Blatter and co trying to further guarantee all those votes they have sewn up from Africa, Asia etc. I love how it points to Oceania having half a qualifier as if it's a problem, Australia is now in the Asian qualifier iirc so without them it's just New Zealand, Fiji, New Caledonia, Papua New Guinea, Soloman Islands, Tahiti, Vanuantu, American Samoa, Cook Islands, Samoa and Tonga, do we really need more than one of those teams having a shot at playing in the world cup finals? It's like watching the really early rounds of the Olympics and seeing some bloke from a random country competing in the 100m sprint with his 11.2 second personal best, totally fucking pointless. -

Aye it's going to be one hell of a kicking, probably worse than the 6-0. -

Crystal Palace v Newcastle United - Saturday 28th November 3pm Kick-Off
Howay replied to Haydnator's topic in Newcastle Forum
This, he wants Prem status with the minimum amount of effort and investment possible. Why appoint an ambitious manager and then back him? Aye we would finish higher in the table and play better footy but he couldn't give a fuck about that, he was clearly confident that bringing in an average manager and some signings would be enough to paper over the deeper problems the club has, it looks to have cost him this time. -

I remember early on Haidara being fucking awful too mind, it's hard to pick between the two of them really as I think they're both poor players. We definitely should have bought a left back in the summer and it still shocks me that we didn't as it was clear as day neither Haidara or Dummett were good enough. -
Steve McClaren sacked as Newcastle United 'Head Coach' (Manager)
Howay replied to Tooj's topic in Newcastle Forum
Aye he has fucked it like, I'm not even excited for the match anymore and if I wasn't on here I'd probably forget when we were even playing. I've said in the past and I think it's becoming more and more true, it's not about being shite as if we were just shite I'd not feel like this towards the club we've just got a completely rotten club. How we are still in this division is amazing to me when you look at our record over the last two seasons. We've got a playing staff that just clearly doesn't give a fuck to the point where it's almost impressive how little they care, they've somehow completely detached themselves from it and don't feel any shame or embarrassment for getting burst every week to the point that some of them still have the brass neck to actually believe they should be playing in a Champions League side. We've all watched some shite players over the years but I find it more sickening watching the current lot, some of which are actually talented players, not give any effort at all. I honestly believe that if Sissoko could just walk off the pitch without getting docked wages he would, and a few others wouldn't be far behind. I just don't know how you could make it to the Premier League level and be okay with getting completely shown up by some of the poorest players in the league, would competitiveness or some pride not kick in at some point? They made Dan Gosling look like a Premier League player ffs. I said in another thread I feel bad for McClaren and I genuinely do because I think he is actually trying, I know he knew full well what he was getting into with Ashley but I don't think he (or really any of us for that matter) knew how apathetic the squad is. I remember a while back Happy Face put something up about what the reserve and academy squads form was like and it closely matched that of the first team, it's deeply worrying stuff as it shows just how deep this malaise is. We're going down this year as I just can't see what can be done, if they got rid of McClaren it would be a Sherwood type that got the job, we could buy players but just look at how quickly the summer buys have lost interest. -

Going the right way to be top 8 in League one with a shot at the johnstones paint trophy tbf. -
It would probably be better to watch than watching shite like sissoko every week and surely couldn't do any worse than a 5-1 howking to Palace. It will be interesting to see Ashleys response when we go down, he may try and sell the club, he may try and buy a load of upper championship players or (most likely) see what we do with whatever is left after the outflow of detritus that would follow relegation. I would love to see is hang onto Sissoko mind, just to see how moody the cunt would be playing Brentford away or whatever pish is down there now.

We will lose by at least 5 and I cant see us getting near scoring. Their first goal will come from pressing Colo or one of our CMs who will gift possession to them. -

Cracking post and I feel the same. We as fans aren't really getting anything out of scraping survival every year other than dross football and a load of 4+ goal losses. At this point all I want is Ashley gone and if that takes a few year in the Championship or League one then so be it. -

Nah I think it's just we tend to lose games in general. I wouldn't bother going anymore either way. -

Colo needs dropped like, how he is still club captain when he has been an utter embarrassment for 3 years just sums up the current plight of this shit show of a club. We've been skimming by for the last few years and it has finally caught up to us, our defence has been fucking crap for years and we've done nowt to properly address it. It was clear as day we needed two CB's and a left back this summer, we bought 1 CB and thought we could scrape by but it's clear now we can't. The worst part is I'm not even arsed about getting rid of McClaren as like Gemmill said it doesn't matter, we'd just get in some useless cunt like Sherwood because all these knackers want is 2nd rate English managers. Nowt will change until Ashley is gone, I keep saying that I'll pack in watching but I stick it on every week, I think today was the final straw for me I'm not going to be watching next week. Our side are basically chasing shadows every match and they don't look like they have much intention of even doing that. Just saw on the clubs facebook they put up "Newcastle United let slip a lead at Crystal Palace as they went down 5-1 in the Barclays Premier League on Saturday" Fucking let slip, as if we conceded a goal late on and drew when in actual fact weren't really in the game. -

I remember when a 5-1 loss would be really fucking embarrassing, now it just feels like a 2-1 loss used to feel. We are going down like I don't have much doubt about it now as we are clearly the worst team in the division. We will lose by at least 4 to both Liverpool and Spurs. The team has nothing at all, the players don't give a fuck and it doesn't look like McClaren is going to win them over as honestly we look worse by the game. -

Howay replied to Tooj's topic in Newcastle Forum
I feel bad for McClaren in a way, I know he knew what he was getting himself into woth Ashley but the playing staff has a quitting mentality to it from the Kings era and it's been well ingrained in the squad especially as most know there's no chance they will be dropped. Sissoko has probably tried in about 10 games in the last 3 year and he is clearly undroppable as well as thinking he should be at PSG.
