  1. It is going on a bit long now mind, at this point when does it stop? it was the whole of last season and it has been through 13 this season, is it just something the fans will do indefinitely? It was an awful incident but we need to move on from it.
  2. We can only hope the win can start a little run (even if it's just a win over Villa) but we've seen them do well against bigger sides only to not bother their arses against lesser ones, so we wont really know until next match. I'm chuffed we won but it's still concerning that we didn't really get many shots on target (just 1 iirc which came in the 93rd min), it's been a problem all season for us. It would be great to see a committed performance like that against Villa with a lot more shots on target. I still think we should move Sissoko inside as having Colback in the side at the expense of one of Perez/Wijnaldum/DeJong/Thauvin isn't worth it. Thauvin actually had a few nice touches and runs at the end, albeit against a tired side, it would be nice to see him get some more game time but it's hard to drop Perez/ De Jong or Wijnaldum (obviously out of the question) for him.
  3. Agree with that, his goals only really came when he had drifted centrally in the 2nd half (which it seems like he was told too as in the first he barely got a touch), it's a complete waste having him in front of Dummett as Dummett's control and passing is horrific it just never looks under control until he eventually just belts it up field.
  4. While the medias pathetic reaction has been funny, I must admit it's a little sad to see that when a Premier League side beats another we see stuff like "The five reasons Liverpool lost to Newcastle United" and the BBC having Joey Barton dissect Liverpool's loss to Newcastle United. Then people saying shite like "well it's because Liverpool's midfield was Lucas and Allen" fair enough but they were against Jack Colback and Vernon Anita so not really the most valid excuse is it? The Moreno goal is a fair moan as he was onside, Origi was off mind and he was in an active zone for sure and took defenders off Moreno, Alex may also be right that he may have saw the flag and just attempted it, in any case it's still no guarantee they would have won or even drew had that counted. We were the better side, our players worked harder, ran further, pressed more and had more chances (despite there only being 1 on target each iirc), I just find it a bit daft that nowadays when one Premier League side beat another it is treat like a League two side just beat the Prem champions, the Bournemouth v Chelsea game saw a similar sort of theme and that wasn't a shock at all to me as Chelsea have been fucking shite all season.
  5. They also kiss up too and force connections to any fan of another club who says something positive about them and insults us.
  6. Aye they just call all of our players complete shite, get annoyed that the media rates our players more than theirs and then says "well he has done fuck all for weeks" after one of them plays well. Knackers to a man that lot. The Newcastle fans that frequent that board and constantly attempt rational conversations with them baffle me man, may as well just smack your head off a wall all day it would probably do less lasting damage as well.
  7. They do every week, often more pages than their match thread.
  8. " jumped in the air and everything" what a fucking huckle.
  9. Top dergs trophy will be heading back to Tyneside, in the anniversary week of the momentous 9-1 as well, must be galling for the poor lads. It'll be that little bit harder to get out of bed and head down to the job centre queue to sign on for them lot tomorrow morning.
  10. Colocinni did put in a two footed challenge on Ibe which could have seen him walk, he had a canny game but he could have got himself sent off again and put us in a bad position if the ref had seen it properly.
  11. Aye especially as Perez came on and made a good run taking 2 defenders with him allowing Wijnaldum to break to the right and shoot for the first goal.
  12. Sissoko has been brilliant today btw, if he played like this with any sort of regularity I could see his desire to move to a CL club coming true. The way he just burst past Moreno sending him spinning in the air was class.
  13. Unreal, if we played like this against lower sides we would be having a canny season just shows how unmotivated the players are when playing against lesser known sides.
  14. Cisse's touch and passing is middle school quality
  15. Sports direct advertising Liverpool kits for sale on the electronic hoardings, cringeworthy this club like.
  16. I just really can't understand why he is happy to drop Perez but will play Sissoko every fucking week. If he wants to bring in De Jong then play Perez and Wijnaldum wide, Sissoko does the square root of fuck all most weeks and Perez is often our best player. Great that he has completely lost faith in Mitro a guy that can hold the ball and is fine with Cisse who cannot trap a bag of cement in a formation that relies on ball retention. Humping this like, I'm switching it off.
  17. Sent NE top dergs into the bottom 3, ftm.

Aye a 6-0 trouncing would result in a shrug from the media, but they'd wank themselves daft if we went out to a League one side no matter how obvious it is that we would. I'm surprised Northampton avoided getting grief for losing 4-1 to us.

I sort of hope it's a team like Man City, less embarrassing than getting ko'd by a lower league side.
  20. Aye how many times have we had a "we're all really sorry and gutted about the recent howking we received and we're going to work deed hard in training to make it up to our amazing fans, laters lol" sort of message over the last three years? If they actually put in the effort and training they keep saying they are they might be a halfway decent team.
  21. Aye, from the look of this Villa game they're starting to fight a little. I have zero faith in Charnley and whether Carr is good or not makes no difference as it's not like he's really allowed to bring in exactly who he wants.
